I would agree with the previous reviews. While there were two employees at the store today when I visited, one of them in particular seemed a bit "slick." They told me the restocking fee on a smartphone was $75 should I change my mind within 14 days and want to return it ---> Its not. Im considering jumping ship from Sprint. I am not interested in buying a phone FIRST only to find out the signal level is terrible where I spend the majority of my day. I would have been at least happy seeing a phone in the store set up as a working model, however not a single phone in the store is activated! Who the heck tries to sell a store full of phones with no actual demos??? Am I supposed to just take their word for it? The slick salesman did attempt to make me feel wrong for not taking him at his word - "Weve activated tons of phones and all of them have had great signal level in this area." Ya, ya, yah - show me a phone thats on. The other employee had an iPhone with 3 out of 4 dots full for signal level. Im an Android person and Id prefer to see signal level measured in dB, not dummy bars... I still cannot believe theres this gigantic Verizon store without a single activated and working demo phone in the store. How ridiculous. Its a bit like having an auto dealership full of cars but no one has the keys for test driving. I found online at the verizon wireless customer support page that restocking fees on SMARTPHONES are $35. Tablets & netbooks are $70. I then went back to the store and presented this to the salesman. He insisted it was wrong. I asked him if he had anything in the store that had the return policy written on it. At first he said no. I said, "you legally have to have something spelling out your policies." He pulled over a cardboard display that showed their restocking fees for SMARTPHONES was $50. He apologized and said he must have been wrong - but then later retracted and said, "I bet though if I go to do a return its going to be $75 because the $50 restocking fee is for phone models under the newer androids and iphones. Id had about enough of this garbage. I finally had a thought - perhaps they were a franchise. I asked if they were a corporate store. He did tell me they werent but said, "hardly any stores are corporate stores any more." I asked where the nearest corporate store was and he told me, "somewhere in Foster City - Ive never been there so I dont know where exactly." Surrrrrre you dont know. Ive always wondered why this store is pretty dead looking when I pass. Im always at the Carlmont plaza (Starbucks, Lunardis, UPS Store, Gin Mon, Cafe Bliss... At least 10 times a week. This store [Verizon] is always empty. Now I know why.

First of all, be warned: This is NOT a Verizon-owned store. Its run by an independent company, not Verizon. (The person working in the store flat-out LIED to me about this today; I asked him two times, quite clearly, and he lied to me both times.) I needed to get a replacement for my dead Samsung GS3 TODAY. An actual Verizon store in San Jose told me that the only way to get the phone that quickly was to purchase one at full retail price. I visited AT&T to see what other options they might have, then decided to go ahead and buy the phone from Verizon. I visited this store in Belmont, which was on my way to work. There I was greeted by the person working, who told me quite clearly: 1. Yes, this is a Verizon-owned store (no, its not) 2. No Verizon store in Santa Clara County will sell phones at full retail price...since there is no money in it for them unless you buy a contract. (yes, they will) 3. There was absolutely, positively, NO way for me to get a phone that day, no matter what I did (yes, there was). When I got to a working phone I called Verizon, who quickly corrected all of these points. I then visited an ACTUAL Verizon store in San Mateo, where they gave me a loaner on the spot to use until my warranty refurb arrives in a week. So ... the folks in this store will lie to your face, arent helpful, and do not give correct information. Avoid!

Stopped in yesterday to get my phone switched over from T-mobile. 1 1/2 hours later I left without completing the process. Verizons entire system shut down. I will tell you the person who helped me was knowledgeable and kind but having to make two trips in is not a good thing. Then there was this slightly obnoxious person who kept talking over the salesperson as I was asking how long the system would be shut down. He looked like a "regular" if a phone store can have one of those.

This is not a "true" Verizon store. In order to attain warranty and further service on any purchase here, it can only be at another exact "A wireless" store, not actually Verizon. Would be nice to know that youd have to drive over an hour to find them in another state if theyre present at all, while passing multiple other actual Verizon stores.
