I had a shattered screen on my iPad3 which was purchased in March or 2012. Less than 4 months after the purchase I took my damaged iPad into the Apple store I bought it from to get an estimate for repairs. I was told that because my warranty was almost expired (???? I only had it for a few months how can the warranty be expired????) and because I didnt fall for their scam of the Apple Protection Program issurance, they would more than happy to sell me a new indentical iPad3 for $350, if I surrendered my damaged iPad. They would not transfer any of my data, apps or information to the new iPad. I would have to back up my iPad personally. I found this to be absolutely ridiculous. I could see right through what they intended. I purchased my original iPad3 for $600+, I then pay another $350 for the new iPad and Apple would take my damaged iPad3, fix it and resell it as a "refurbished" unit. Allowing Apple to get well over $1000 for what looked to me as a simple fix. The fact that Apple offered absolutely NO repair options has led me to convict to the mind set of NEVER buying from Apple again. My iPad screen was completely shattered and needed to be repaired. I did a quick Google on iPad repair and JCD Repair was listed. I checked their website and was thrilled that they had a store located in the Seattle area. This meant I did not have to send my iPad to a repair company based on blind faith of a website. I took my iPad in on a Monday afternoon, the staff were beyond courteous and gave me an instant analysis of the damage done. They explained to me what needed to be done, how much and how long the repair would take. Low & behold my iPad was ready when they said it would be ready and at the quoted price. These guys know their stuff and in my opinion are the best if you have an iPad or iPhone that needs tending to and Apple wont treat you as a valued customer. I will definitely use JCD Repair for any & all future issues I encounter w/ my iPad.

My iPhone screen had become totally unreadable, due to a harsh drop. I took the phone into the shop, and it was ready within 45 minutes with a new screen. Unfortunately they were out of stock for a new home button and camera which was also broken, and they let me know I could go to one of their other shops to finish the repair for an additional $8 (nominal fee, and they would waive the labor). I was on vacation in Seattle at the time, and didnt enough time to make it to the other store. So when I returned back home to Texas, I took my phone to a local shop thats not affiliated with JCD Repair. All is working on the phone now. The only thing was that the 2nd shop charged me an additional $54 to repair the home button and camera. Now, heres why they deserve 5++ stars. When I called JCD Repair to essentially complain, the customer service person immediately jumped in to help me. I asked if they would cover a portion of the $54 second charge, not thinking that they would since I didnt follow the instructions exactly like I was told after my first visit. Without hesitation, she agreed to pay the $54 PLUS cover an additional $20 more due to the hassle/trouble. I totally understand that errors can happen, but the true measure of a small business is how they react to those errors. JCD reacted beautifully, and I strongly recommend this company for honest, quick, and customer-focused service.

This will have been my second repair on my ipad at JCD but I am a VERY happy client! The first time we went to JCD our screen was shattered due to some poorly planned maneuvering of the front door and a pile of items to go out to the car (doh!) The screen was fixed within the weekend and all was great! When we used skype (several months later) on the ipad while away from home we noticed that the gasket around the camera was slightly off center and my sister could see it on her computer. So I set it aside to await the trip down to Seattle for warranty work, took it out on Friday morning to head down and my youngest daughter decides to cart it off to the bathroom where she proceeds to grab a seashell (yes, a seashell) and chuck it at the screen! Gah! I take it in, fully prepared to pay for it since my lovely little girl shattered the screen. When they took it apart they were not happy with the way that it was fixed the first time and they comped the repair. It is so nice to see that there are other companies that operate with the same level of integrity that we hold ourselves to. Thank you, thank you JCD Repair, you have one incredibly happy customer! I will continue to refer to you, even if we are all the way up in Bellingham, its worth the drive to work with you!

I love this place. My front and back screen for my iPhone 4 shattered, and the battery came loose and would not work unless plugged in to a charger. I was running late because of the traffic, so I called and told them I would be late. They were cool with it. I was impressed with how easy of a place it was to find and that I had no trouble finding a parking spot. Since I only made the appointment under "battery replacement" (I figured that was the most important thing to get fixed) they told me that was the only thing they could do during my scheduled time. They surprised me when they started the repair and said they could do both screen repairs as well so I didnt have to make another trip out there (I live in Antioch--about an hour and a half away)! They also checked out everything internally for me and fixed other things that had come loose along with the battery. Not only did they go above and beyond for me, they knocked the price down since I had gotten multiple things done at once. AND since my dad had been there with his phone before, they took an additional $5 off. I recommend this place to everyone. Extremely friendly people, fast, quality service, and very reasonably priced.

I managed to crack the front glass and destroy the LCD display. For a very reasonable price of about $260, JCD fixed it all up. Initially they thought it would take about an hour from my appointment of 6 pm, but when I came to pick it up right before close at 7 they caught a problem. The screen had a purple tint but I might not have seen it right away. Tip of the cap on catching that! They had it fixed again by 1 pm the next day. Im super happy with the repair job and the price. The only room for improvement is in customer service. Instead of having me "call back around noon to check on the progress" it would have been savvy to offer to email or call me when it was finished. Its also always better to give an over-realistic time estimate and then deliver sooner. I called at noon as suggested and they were just starting the re-repair. I didnt mind, but others might. This isnt a big deal except for the expectations it sets. Much more effective to say, "Well call you when its ready, which will be before 3pm." Its all sunshine and rainbows when the email or call comes in at 1 pm. Overall, this was a great experience. I would go back and recommend JCD to friends. Thank you!
