Excellent Service! I know enough about dishwashers to put the dishes in. And that’s it as far as the mechanics of the thing goes. When the dishwasher soap started to cake up in the soap dispenser, I inspected the contraption a little closer. The soap dispenser was busted and I needed a new one. The problem was that the dishwasher was about 20 years old and I wasn’t sure I could find the parts. I wanted to do a do-it-yourself job to save money on having a repairman come and do it. So I Googled “dishwasher parts in Salt Lake City” and found “Appliance Man.” I gave them a call and yes they could help. I unscrewed the dishwasher door and took it with me -- just to make sure they had the right part. Walking into the store with a dishwasher door must have looked funny. At the counter was John Rushton. John, I learned as time went on, was a guy who knows everything about appliances. The part I needed led to be what turned out to be a research project of sorts. He used his computer to check for parts all over the country as I drove back and forth a few times to get model numbers, part numbers, etc. John was extremely helpful and exceptionally knowledgeable. His expertise was exactly what I needed to solve my precarious problem. Thanks to John Rushton and “Appliance Man!” Marshall Tanner Murray, Utah

Have to go along with a few others here who also gave a poor review. These guys are excellent at making excuses as to why they cant fix the problem with our GE Washer. Been to our house 2x, weve spent over $450, yet the problem persists. Although Jevon, one of their lead techs assured me hed repaired our washer, and would happily return should we have future problems, nothing could be further from the truth. After 3 days of calling & trying to get a tech back to our house, we were told by Terri, one of owners, that "there are thousands of different washing machines brands, and their techs have to call the GE hotline for a prognosis, there is no way they could be an expert for all brands." I thought we were already paying for their expertise, unfortunately, not. This company has no customer service skills at all!! Never using them again! If you want your appliances repaired by a company with knowledge, expertise and a willingness to provide good customer service, go somewhere else!!

Our refrigerator started leaking during the time we were selling our home. It had done it 3 or 4 times. Our teenage son was home alone while we were out of the country when it started leaking during the home inspection phase. We called this company. They apparently looked at it and said that we "werent shutting the door tightly enough" charged $79 and went on their way. We passed this wisdom along to the buyer of our home (the sale of which included the refrigerator). It started leaking almost immediately after the sale and the new owner was furious that we hadnt resolved this known issue prior. They called their own repair person who diagnosed the problem in about 10 minutes and actually fixed it. We agreed to pay for the repair even though it technically wasnt our home. This made us look like we were trying to take advantage of the home buyer. The repair company also didnt provide a receipt at the end of the visit which made us look even more suspect.

I use the Appliance Man for my appliance repair and service. I am mechanically inclined and I like to do my own work to save $$ . John at Appliance Man has over a 20 year period, helped me to save by helping me to diagnose and repair the problem with 1. Replace controller on my Washing Machine, 2. Replace door interlock on Clothes Dryer, 3. Replace oven heating unit, and most recently, 4. repair of Dish Washer pump. (The dish washer repair did not work and I have replaced the dishwasher, but I did not waste a lot of money because I was able to return the unused part kit.) I have dealt with this company for many years (They used to be called Dans Maytag.) and have been very satisfied with their service and support.

John at Appliance Man was great. He helped me find the parts I needed to repair my washer and told me a couple of things that might be causing the problem and that I might not need the parts. When I had the washer disassembled I found a stray sock had worked its way between the two tubs. I removed the sock, put the washer back together and everything ran fine. I didnt need to replace a thing. I was able to return the parts to Appliance Man with no problem at all. Many thanks to John for helping me find the problem and being so great to work with. When I have future questions or need to purchase a new appliance I will be working with Appliance Man.

they told me I needed a motor, then a timer, neither of which solved my problem, then they said I should have a service call on top of that... I looked up the symptoms online and it was a simple thermal fuse, which "appliance man" wanted 5x more money for than I could get it online and in one day... on top of that, they would NOT take back the parts he sold me, which he advised me to replace. Then, I did some research and all the parts he told me were bad and then sold to me, I could have paid much less if I waited a day on got them online also. bad experience, poor customer service!

Weve been happy with Appliance Man. When our washing machine quit working, I called a few different places for repair quotes and theirs was the best I found. When we decided we wanted to just buy a new machine, they put half the repair cost towards the purchase. A few months later when our dryer quite working, we purchased a refurbished electrical from them, and they were happy to switch it for us when we realized we needed a gas machine.

Very rarely do you meet good honest people anymore. I went in to buy a new washer and dryer. John asked me what was wrong with my old washer and I told him what was happening. He kindly took me into the work shop and showed me how to fix my washer with a ten dollar repair! Saved me hundreds!!!! Thank you, thank you! When I need a repair or new appliance this is where I will go! Honesty and kindness goes a long way!

Waited all day... Was told between 1:00 and 4:00. At 3:45 I get a text from a Rick saying he was stuck in traffic. I "called" him was told he could be here at 4:15 or 4:30. I called Appliance Repair... They had nothing to say except, "it happens". So Im out a full day from work and washer still not repaired! After calling to schedule repair over a week ago!!!
