Easy trade in, easy purchase, stay away from the service department. My wife and I had a marvelous experience with trading in my vehicle and buying a new one at Low Book Sales of Lindon. Cori the salesman was kind, organized, and comfortable to work with. The vehicle I wanted was priced very reasonably and there was no need to haggle. He asked what we wanted to pay monthly, then he came back from the decisions tower with a monthly payment less than our desired number. Great, write it up. That number included a more than fair trade in offer for my vehicle and the extended warranty. We quickly moved to financing and worked with Cash; he was ubber organized and professional. Done deal and we were happy. One final step was the detail job and certification (I bought the vehicle the day it became for sale so this done after). Now I have to start dealing with the service dept. They were a nightmare. I got no communication during the day as to when everything would be done. I called and left messages. I finally got through around 5, when I said I needed to pick it up. Long story short, it was not ready until about 8:30 pm, the detail job sucked (used tissues and other trash), and some property was stolen out of the vehicle. Everyone in service was gone by that time, so I had to come back the next day. Again there was terrible communication from the service department so I just showed up. They eventually took responsibility after no one in the shop owned up. Their best fix was for me to purchase a new version of the stolen item, submit a receipt, and get reimbursed in "a few weeks." I was appalled. Luckily, I ran into the salesman Cori and he had the GM cut me a check for what it was worth, plus a little extra for my troubles. The sales side of LBS solved the Service Depts mistake in 10 minutes. In the end, I cancelled my extended warranty because in obligates me to return to LBS service dept. No thanks. I got a lower monthly payment and cut ties. I honestly would recommend LBS again. Sell your car at a great price, buy a car at a great price, and avoid the extended warranty. Done and done. One perk to buying from them is free Safety/emissions checks for life... doubt Ill utilize that.

Crooks! Plain and simple. Ive never been lied to like this before. I live in PG and have a mechanic I go to in Provo, but my car needed safety and emissions so I decided to just do that close to home. Got a coupon online for Lowbook for $10. They honored the coupon but thats were my good experience ends. They came back and said I passed emissions but failed safety because my rear brakes were at 1/32 and 3 of my 4 tires were "into the secondary rubber." Rudy I believe was the salesman and he immediately got to selling. Offered to do the rear brakes for $140 and gave me a few quotes on tires. I had just replaced the rear drum brakes about a year and a half ago along with the front discs, and fronts are supposed to outlast rears 2-3 times over. This raised a concern for me so I took it to my trusted mechanic in Provo. He pulled off the rear wheels and inspected the brakes and showed them to me. Looked brand new still. They were at about 8/32 he said. I couldnt believe it. I took some pictures of the brakes on my phone. He looked at the tires and said they were close, but not into the secondary rubber yet. When I had inspected them prior to all this I knew they were getting close but they hadnt worn past the wear indicators yet so I thought I would be good. So he did an override in the system and passed me for safety. Now, Ill give Low Book a pass on the tires - that was kind of a judgment call - even though technically I passed. But the brakes - that is either utter incompetence or outright lying - neither of which is acceptable. I could take the measuring device and see that the brakes were not anywhere close to 1/32. Straight up lying to me to sell me new brakes. The inspector was B. Chappell and the sales guy was Rudy I think. Classic bait and switch. Baited me with a $10 safety and emissions and then tried to sell me unnecessary parts/repairs. Will NEVER RETURN TO LOW BOOK!!! I dont hate too many things - but a LIAR - is at the top of the list. I read another review here where the lady had the exact same experience as I did (brakes) so I wouldnt touch these guys with a ten foot pole!

Low book was one of the first places I looked at when I started searching for a new car. After test driving a few cars and being unimpressed I left for the night. The next day our salesman called us back and let us know of a new car on the lot that was in our price range and that he thought would be perfect for us. I was really impressed that he was still searching for us and it turned out to be a car we loved. After discussing some options about the car the price still turned out to be much higher than I wanted to pay and I decided to wait a day or two. Well a few days later we found the exact same car at DOUG SMITH AUTOPLEX, same year and milage, for about 1000 dollars less. Doug smith was also willing to drop the price even more so that with dealer fees included we were still paying way less than what we would at lowbook for just the price of the car, not to mention the exterior of the doug smith car was in so much better shape. Because I enjoyed working with our salesman so much at lowbook, I took this price back to them and they werent willing to budge on the price at all. They do have perks like free Safety and IMs for life, but I think it is just a way of tricking you into thinking its a great deal. All in all, I think if you are desperate to get into a car and have bad credit, low book sales may be a good option. But they were really pushy, especially when trying to get us to finance through them (at 7.9% when our bank was offering us 3.7% !!), and they dont have the lowest prices on cars. I was also unpleased with the fact that while we were there we worked with 4 or 5 different people who told us different things. They seem a little shady. I recommend DOUG SMITH in american fork.

If there was a way to give NO stars I would, THIS IS FOR THE LINDON LOCATION: HORRIBLE place, HORRIBLE experience, Ive worked with cars my whole life, sales, service, Ive even been a manager. I know my stuff. With that said: We listed on KSL our 2003 Audi TT Turbo 6spd AWD red convertible, all services done, zero issues. Low book CALLED US to bring the car in because they wanted to buy it. THE BANK values this car at $12,995. Suggested Retail on KBB was $13,034 PRIVATE PARTY was $10,100 Even a trade in value was $8,500. After sitting around for a half hour while they "drove the car" (which was moving it 5 spots to the left so we couldnt see it so it was "out on a drive") The sales man came back from the sales desk and said "we can offer you $6,000 flat." ............$6,000! For a car worth nearly $13,000!!!! We left as fast as possible, and the sales manager shot me a stink eye on the way out. That offer is offensive! I was wondering why all their cars on the lot were so expensive, after this experience i WILL NEVER go back to low book for ANYTHING. Lost me as a customer and everyone in my family, permanently. After running some numbers I figure they make between $8,000-$10,000 PROFIT per car on their lot. At least they would on our Audi had we been stupid enough to take Less than HALF the actual value. Horrible Management, Horrible company. Low BALL sales is what it should be. I understand you have to make money, but WOW. PEOPLE- please stay away, they do nothing but steal your money to buy all their nice personal cars parked in the employee lot. STAY AWAY
