Buying a car from out of state is not always an easy experience. However, from the moment I made contact with James & Rich about a vehicle I had seen online (Im from Maryland), I had a feeling that it would be a good transaction...and it was! Last Thursday, I contacted the dealership by email. After several emails discussing negotiating a price between James and I, we settled on a price, he told me to call Rich, and I gave a credit card deposit. A friend and I drove up to the dealership last Saturday, a 3.5 hour drive. Although there were lots of pictures of the vehicle on the website, I was still amazed at how beautiful the vehicle was when I got there. It really was as close to "showroom" condition as it could get. After taking the vehicle out for a test drive, I was convinced that I would be happy with it. Rich made the transaction easy and fun. I enjoyed our conversation and it was obvious to me that Rich was an experienced professional. After we settled the deal, he even recommended a local diner, where we could get a bite to eat before the trek back to Maryland! In ending, let me say how happy I am with this vehicle, the purchase transaction and the professionalism of James and Rich. I wouldnt hesitate driving 3.5 hours for my next vehicle purchase, as long as the drive ended at Manahawkin Auto. Thanks, Jame and Rich, for a great car and an awesome experience!! ;)

I bought a 2004 Nissan Altima from Manahawkin Auto Sales in 2007 with 63,000 miles already on it. I was given a great rate as well as great financing options. I have to say that car ran like a charm for 6 years. I only had to fix the typical wear and tears (battery, breaks, oil change) of a car during this time. I wanted to get a truck so I traded my Nissan in at Manahawkin Auto Sales recently with 168,000 miles on it. Even then it was still going strong. I traded my Nissan in recently and bought a 2007 Ford Explorer from Manahawkin Auto Sales. It only had 58,000 miles on it and so clean and well care for. As a return customer I received great rates once again. Everyone was very pleasant and friendly and willing to listen to exactly what my needs were. I would definately recommend buying from them.

Had some work done to my SUV at their shop after a reference from a neighbor. Had rotors changed with their best product and had to have them replaced by another shop 5 months later. In addition, and even worse, I had them flush my transmission which has only led to repeated problems of my dash lights coming on. DO NOT FLUSH YOUR TRANSMISSION THERE! They pretty much flush it with pressure and cause problems for newer cars and the sensors within them. Just pay a repuatable repairman to work on your car the first time. Either way you will pay them later. I never write online reviews but felt I needed to do this.

I recently stopped by Manahawkin Auto Sales with my sister to show her a car I was thinking about getting my son. Well needless to say after meeting their salesman Jim, who was friendly and knowledgeable, my sister decided she wanted a new car. Jim was patient and went over all the pros and cons of her choices. They even took her car as a trade which she owed more money than it was worth and it had a cracked windshield and a bad muffler. Car shopping isnt easy but Manahawkin Auto Sales makes it as simple as possible and my sister left very happy. I will be back when its time to buy my son a car!!

My first accident in over 30 years left me stressed to say the least. Going shopping for another vehicle was even more stress. While walking on lots I hate when 2-3 salesmen come running up to you and try and give you their speeches. James Schultz was the opposite. He was very helpful and he listened to want we wanted and could afford. After we were approved, Richard Matarrese was even more helpful and getting the paperwork done in a timely manner. I purchased a 2007 Kia Sportage for my daughter last summer, and Jimmy and Rich were very helpful and made it an enjoyable experience. My daughter loves her car. Today, I traded in my 15 year old Ford Explorer and Jimmy and Rich and the whole staff were so supportive and kind. I went home in a 2012 Kia Sorento and it was the first time , in a long time, that I enjoyed a worry-free trip home. i just purchased my 2010 kia forte koup and i couldnt be happier with the service! Jimmy and Rich are especially the most helpful. My dad suggested to replace 2 of the tires and they offered to replace all 4 and detail the whole car with no extra fee. They are really considerative and want the best for you! They got my parents interest rate as low as possible, even if it meant they didnt make anything off it. They offer the best deals that will suit you the most. The personnel at Manahawkin Auto Sales were all very helpful and accommodating while I was at their facility. My salesperson in particular, Jim, was very knowledgeable about this very highly technical vehicle and able to handle all of my questions deftly. This place was amazing!! I purchased a clk 550 convertible Mercedes Benz and the price was GREAT!! It was in mint condition and it ran like a beast!! The customer service was exceptional, not once did I feel pressured to buy anything. I wasnt hassled or followed around when I told them I was "ok and just browsing". Once I found the Mercedes I asked for assistance and they were extremely informative and professional. I would recommend all my family and friends to purchase a vehicle here anytime , any day!

I had the best experience with the staff and the sales team. I purchased a 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe with low mileage which was exactly what I was looking. They not only made me and my partner feel welcomed but they welcomed our daughter dog holly feel at home too. I highly recommend this place to anybody looking for a used car. Family owned and operated and these guys know their sh!@?, they arent like other car dealers who dont listen to your wants and needs in a car. These guys listen and they rock.

Absolute worst. Was promised items to be fixed for the 2004 Dodge pickup i bought. Truck had to go in 4 times, and all four times it took five hours for them to tell me they had the wrong parts. They also said they would fix the check engine codes that come up, but that was never fixed. The thermostat was bad, but i was told by them that its just how your guage reads. I decided to go to a real Dodge dealer to get this fixed. Scammers and con artists, find a different dealer.
