Heritage Stonecraft

Bought a double bevel miter saw. Accidentally bent fence extensions (two small flimsy aluminum plates attached to the cutting fence). Found out that NO parts are available for their products. So your basic assumption when dealing with Harbor Freight is assume if anything breaks that is not a warranty issue it will be a disposable tool. Absolutely no service or support is provided for the products they sell. I quote from their "support" department e-mail: "Harbor Freight does not service or repair any of the products that they sell. Harbor Freight also does not have a list of approved repair facilities for each region of the US. If repair work is needed, we do recommend contacting a local, reputable repair professional for assistance with any repairs or service. ..... There are still further products which no parts are available for purchase individually. Parts availability is not limited to specific brands of products or specific prices of products, but by specific products in our inventory. i.e. you are on your own. Avoid at all costs

Im an avid HFT shopper and 99 percent of all my tools come from here. I love shopping here and the prices are just right for me. So my review of that is a 5 star and is reflected here. The customer service is close to a 5 also. The only thing is the location is quite secluded. One can say its off of a busy road (EB lane of Belt Line), but its still kinda set inside a bit. I get it and it works for the community it serves, but it is also hard to see from the street and the picture I share of the front shows what you can see when youre close because of what obstructs the view. So Ive been going more to the one in Rowlett because that one is off of a main thoroughfare and very easy for me to access. This Richardson one is closer to my work and Id much rather go here before getting on the freeway to go home but alas, the location is too far out for me. Nevertheless, its still a great place for me but just know that youll have to plan your route accordingly--if you dont live in Richardson :)

If you need something cheap and it doesnt matter if its generic this is the place to go. Also carry old school hand tools, woodworking tools and various specialty equipment. Very little in the way of actual hardware (nails, screws, washers, etc.) But if you are a homeowner who needs a specific piece of equipment for a one time or occasional use check here first chances are you can buy brand new for marginally more than renting from Home Depot. For professional daily use tools this is not the place to go.

Horrible location. No one is working the floor to help customers and the clerks are too busy with a line of people to answer questions. This has happened serval times. One customer told me that she gave up looking for an item and decided to check out without it. I will be driving the extra few miles to go to another location in the future.

Do not buy at this store or at Harbour Freight at all. Brought two items, drill we discovered broken just as we left parking lot. The tool chest we brought was broken and bent ( not discovered until we got home). Buyer beware! There is a reason they sell cheap. Stick with Home Depot or Lowels.

When you dont have a million dollars to spend and are fine with settling on runner up quality - Harbor Freight is there! My last jack handle busted after a year the jack works still just need a ratchet and socket, but I just bought a new one for cheaper!

Service on the floor may be touch and go (unless youre my wife in yoga pants), but the prices are good, sales better, and service at the register is great as well. If youre looking to save on tools, this is the weekend warriors place to go.

Look the service isnt the best because at the price theyre selling tools its not like they can hire Tim The Toolman Taylor to assist customers however if youre already mechanical and know what you need this is the place for you...

I dont care or whine about service, this place is great I just go there for the tools, I know what I need. And they have it most of the time. Get in and get out without aimlessly roaming the isles and go fix something.

Wow, I thought lowes/depot quality was poor. Very low quality tools here, but as others have said, sometimes thats all you need. Just understand that youre definitely scraping the bottom of the barrel here.

Great disposable tools for quick handyman jobs around the house and on your car. Some deals are good some are one-use only, but way cheaper than big box
