Low cost place to get tools for projects and handy location. The problem comes if you just want to browse (spend time looking around the store) and even worse if you need to think and/or plan your purchases while there. If you dont want your mind and your ears blown plan ahead and wear ear protection to the store. The sound system, radio, etc. is turned all the way up and blares non stop till all you can think about is fleeing for your life. Dont even think that you will be able to remember what you came for are make any decisions about what you might need while your there. If you have no choice and have to be there long enough to make a purchase, forget any help or relief from the staff. Yep, they have been there too long! The ear-drums are ruined and the brain cells fried, they will look at you with blank stares and gaping mouths and yell over the radio.......WHAT NOISE? Also forget the idea that you can escape by going to the competition, Northern Tool for any common sense. I tried it and the noise blasted me back through the front door with almost as much force and irritation as Harbor Freights.

Basic low cost tool store decent tool for cheap. Store is very well kept and stocked. The store is perfect for a person who has knowledge of what they want and need. Customer service usually leaves you alone till you ask for help. Not like home depot or lowes where 5 people ask if you need help when they only ask cause its company policy. Then tell you its not thier asile and they have no idea what your really looking for or any idea what the item is and take you back to the same shelf you just spent 20 mins looking at. So if you are an actuall contractor. And KNOW how and what it really takes to build something YOURSELF and need a cheap tool this is the place. As far as noise its a very quiet store. Nice relief from the concrete cutters ,hammer drills and the bum bum bum bum mexican music at work. Great store for contractors. do it yourselfers with no experience or know how should stick to home depot and "generic zombie stores"

Purchased a lawn mower lift and after putting together the lawn mower lift did not work. Went back the Harbor Freight in Temple and store manager would not check out unit to see if the unit was defective or assembly was done correctly. Unit was never used after assembly. Since store only offered to help with the unit if I purchased a extended warranty I left the unused unit in the parking lot. Will never enter Harbor Freight again. Stay out of the Temple store because you are on your on if the product is defective.

Tools are pretty cheap and normally I am very satisfed with the service I recieve there, last night I drove there in the rain to pickup a tool box. they issisted that it wouldnt fit in my yukon and told me that I couldnt buy it!!!!! today I bought one from a differant location they took it out of the box and guess what...it fits!!!! from now on im going elsewhere!!!!! customers service isnt a priorty at the mesquite/towneast location or maybe it was too close to closing time....whatever!

Brought my youngest to the tool store. Sometimes just need a less expensive or even a getaway to try a new activity from puzzles to welding. Always receiving discount club emails to keep me here often.
