The Houston Motorcycle Exchange is that Garage your dad always told you about. I had a 2003 kawasaki vulcan sitting in my garage for YEARS with a gunked carb. I searched for hours trying to find a non-dealer mechanic to work on her. I finally gave up and took her to a dealer. They wanted to charge me $2000.00 + for a carb rebuild!!! So I expanded my search and found Tommys place. It was a 3 HOUR drive to the heights in Houston for me. So I slap the bike on a trailer and bring her in. Tommy quoted me a FRACTION of what the dealer wanted and said itd be done in a few days. Couple days later he calls me and says I need to get some parts, he shopped his local providers and told me I could get them cheaper myself. So I did and shipped them over, a few days later they call me and tell me the bikes ready to pick up. I get there MINUTES before the shop closed and saw they left my bike outside waiting for me. I payed, drove her around the block, and it was the best that machine has ran since I bought it YEARS ago. They even loaded it up onto my truck for me. The Houston Motorcycle Exchange will be my ONLY bike shop from now on, and Im happy to drive 3 HOURS to see those guys because THEY DO IT RIGHT!

I just bought my first bike from Tommy and his team at Houston Motorcycle Exchange. It was a great experience. One of the sales guys, Kenny, listened to my needs and helped me pick out a suitable choice. I decided on a Yamaha Virago 250. It’s small I know, but it’s something to get acclimated to riding. These guys were very patient and genuinely care about the customer’s needs and wellbeing. They insisted I use a full-face helmet and nothing else, and reminded me to get some good boots right away, and Tommy even went out with us for my first ride on the bike, complimenting me on what I was doing right, and helping me out with what I was doing wrong. The bike didn’t have the rear seat on when I bought it but Tommy promised he would take care of it soon, and he did. I bought the bike last Saturday, and he put the seat (sewn by his team) on today (Wednesday follow the Saturday purchase). He also replaced an indicator light that was out, free of charge. When I told Tommy that I was already feeling like I wished I’d gone ahead and bought a 650 he smiled and encouraged me to get some more time in the saddle, then come talk to him when I was ready to trade up.

Houston Motorcycle Exchange helped me so much! I just moved to Houston and my bike had been drained of gas and oil. The battery was also dead. Im a beginner when it comes to motorcycles so I felt pretty lost--but the people in the shop were friendly and helpful every step of the way, from letting me know that the moving truck with my bike could bring it directly to the shop on the same day, to unloading the bike from the truck for me, then letting me watch and giving me a detailed lesson so I could better understand how my bike works and see basic servicing done up close. Maurice was particularly wonderful; I greatly appreciated his patience and expertise and Im so glad that I happened to stop by with my basic question that turned into an hours work. The prices were extremely reasonable, too! My bikes running well and Im excited that Ive found a place I trust within a week of my move. 10/10 recommend. Ill be back!

I would like to give a big shout out to Tommy and his crew at the shop....Tommy was referred to me by another dealer, I was on the edge because my atv wasnt starting and Im heading out of town Thursday. Make a long story short, Tommy felt my pain on trying to get my atv ready for hunting....Tommy took my atv Saturday, Im expecting to get my atv back at least Wednesday....no that wasnt the case. Tommy calls me an hour and a half later "Kevin we gotcha fixed up". Considering Im heading out of town to go hunting with my church crew, these guys were a blessing in the sky.....in that little time my carburetor was overhauled, oil changed and the works.Once again to Tommy and his crew, thank u and god bless you guys, Im glad I didnt have to cancel my hunting trip and I will continue to do business and refer others.... Dont buy here if you dont know what youre doing. They misrepresented a bike as being a low-miles gem that had been through their "service department" and was "ready to ride". Actually it had a salvaged/rebuilt title, was in poor condition, wasnt stored properly, ran like crap and was falling apart. It was obviously a high-mileage bike with a low-mileage instrument cluster that Kenny had no problems at all letting me buy. Thankfully I passed on their "super smokin deal" and avoided alot of grief. You might get lucky and get something decent but its not worth the risk in my opinion. Do business with dealers that take pride in their work and avoid Houston Motorcycle Exchange... Pathetic.

After having mobile repair pros, dealerships, and seasoned mechanics take my time and money, I found Tommy & Houston Motorcycle Exchange. For more than four weeks, everyone else could not identify the source of my 1998 Kawasaki Vulcans performance problems. I spent $$hundreds$$, and got nowhere. Others gave me estimates of as much as $975 to get me on the road . Tommy jumped on my bike, and gave a test run up to 80+mph. 24 hours and $138 later I was cruising at all speeds on my 18 year old bike.... AND IT HAS BEEN RUNNING LIKE NEW EVER SINCE. Whether youre buying, or in need of repair, youd be a fool to take it anywhere but H.M.E.!

I wish I would have read reviews first. They lied about having to dry store the machines and I had to put a deposit down for them to make it ready to test drive. Should have left then. Bike runs great but not knowing anything about motorcycles I trusted them too much. Took the bike to a Kawasaki place to see about some cosmetic parts and the told me all the things that are wrong with it. when they were looking at it the bottom of the front fairing fell off. Again nothing that a couple screws cant fix but then they informed me that I needed tires bad ($600.00). Stay away from this place. Very shady business practices.

Kenny sold me a dropped bike and did not bother to tell me. Not only did I pay cash for a dropped bike I later found that the bike had only been pieced back together. Once it started falling apart I decided to take it apart, in which I found that the tank was dented in (explains why I had to fill up so much) It also has a slight frame twist. I paid top dollar for a bike that should have been totaled. Yay me. Dont be fooled by the fairings. If you dont know bikes I would not by from here. you will be shafted. I was also told the bike had a power commander, which it did not. I urge you, not to buy from these guys.

I read prior reviews that were positive and immediately called because I had seen a Suzuki Burgman 650 for sale. Kenny gave me the history of this vehicle over the phone. The next day I went in and He, Maurice and Tommy told me how this cycle compared to others in that class. The next day I came in with the money for the bike, and then Tommy went out of highway to contact another insurance company to get a better rate. Furthermore, Tommy delivered my bike and even showed me how to best store the bike in my garage with my car...... this is the beginning of a great friendship and business relationship.
