Ive been doing business with THD since 2003. Im ridiculously happy w/everything from the service dept to the parts dept to the new bike sales to the BBQ joint. I noticed another review on here stating that"they dont like you if you didnt buy your bike there".That couldnt be further from the truth.I didnt buy my Ultra from them(didnt know about them when I bought my Ultra)&they have been nothing but helpful&patient w/the old girl. Bought my Dads Road King from them because they were so good (later in 03). Bought my brothers Ultra from them because they were awesome(05). Bought my wifes Street Glide from them because they have continued to be outstanding(08). Rode up there a few months ago w/3 HDs, a VMAX, a Kawasaki Voyager & a Victory Vision. The Vision destroyed a rear wheel bearing as we were fueling to head back to Wichita.(Dont do business w/ Alefs HD in Wichita by the way).THD was closed but they still answered the phone&offered to come pick the Victory up to be safe. Got it back to the dealership, up on the lift&apart to see what the issue was. They then offered to repair it to get us back on the road. Turns out the proprietary parts were unavailable because even though the Victory dealership was supposed to have closed only 5 minutes before that they didnt answer.(THD answered nearly a half hour after they closed, just saying) Since they couldnt get it fixed for him due to parts being unavailable, they ended up storing it inside for him until he could come to pick it up the next week. All free. This is indicative of maybe 20-30 similar experiences over the years. Ive dealt with Eli, Bruce, Steve & Rick in the sales dept. & have nothing but good things to say (Eli, thanks for helping James with the PN, hes diggin it!) Annie & Ky have always been like family, love you guys! Rick in Service is TheMan! Tyler in parts is knowledgeable, friendly&quick!,what a difference from our standoffish, ignorant, arrogant local stealership (my brother called Alefs&asked about scheduling a service for his UltraClassic, the service writer asked if that was a Sportster or a BigTwin...what!?! Sorry, wrong number, Ill call THD)

I was in Kansas for the Labor Day weekend at Perry Lake when I shelled a rear wheel bearing on my 2003 Ultra. I limped into Topeka on Monday and got a motel room a few blocks from the shop for the night. Tuesday morning, about 7:30 am I was standing outside my room and met a guy, aka "Hollywood", who said he drag raced motorcycles and that the shop was top notch. ("see Dave Larson, hes the best!") Well, he was right. Not knowing the shop didnt open till 10:00 am, I showed up about 8:20. I could see people moving bikes around inside but the place was still closed. Well, to my great surprise, Dave Larson stepped out of the shop and asked if I was the guy with the broken wheel bearing. (Seems "Hollywood" had called Dave and told him I would be there.) Although the place didnt open till 10:00, by 8:45 they were wheeling my bike into the shop and stating on it! Turns out the race was split in 2, half the ball bearing were gone and it had started to eat though the wheel hub. 2 1/2 hours, some grinding and careful work later, they had me up and rolling for my quick 300 mile ride back home in time to make it for work that night! This is only the second time in 39 years Ive ever let someone else wrench on one of my scooters but, these guys were GREAT! I highly recommend this place for their great, friendly and professional service! Thank you Dave Larson (Service Tech), Rick Evans (Service Manager) and "Hollywood" (wherever you are)!!! Ive been to the dealership several times with my friends and saw the folks there as really friendly and low-pressure. When it came time to replace my current ride, I went there because of the previous experiences Id already had with them (NOT riding a bike I bought from them of course). Eli did an excellent job of making what I feel like was a totally fair deal on a used bike that I absolutely love. Annie helped me with finding exactly what I wanted to gear up and the BBQ isnt too bad either! The purchase experience was excellent in and of itself but then they went above and beyond that and elected to cover a couple of small things that they wouldnt have been at all obligated to. Exactly what Id seen/heard that made me go there in the first place. Definitely didnt disappoint when I made my purchase. Would absolutely recommend them to a friend, relative, whoever wants a great experience buying an awesome bike!

I took the Basic Riders Course from the store and bought my first bike from the same store. Eli helped me to make he right decision on a bike, as well as treated me with the utmost respect and understanding. Being extremely new to the culture and an inexperienced rider, I expected to be treated as somewhat of an outsider, but Eli and the staff were quick to welcome me in. Also there was no pushy salesmanship, just a relaxed info-gathering on the different types of bikes and what I was comfortable with. The riders course, given by Steve and Bob, was taught by the utmost professionals. My apprehension about street riding was quickly dismissed in the course, and gave me the confidence to ride safely in any given element and street conditions. If your gonna buy a bike, or learn to ride, go to Topeka Harley.

Best prices in the state. Sales staff is outstanding, and will get you the best deals they can. See Rick Bone. Clothing department is always helpful and Annie has a smile for everyone. Parts is knowledgeable and can find parts fast, if they arent in stock already, talk to Tyler. The service department can handle anything you bring them, from mild to wild. Eddie will get you tuned up on the in house dyno.

I have been a customer since my first Super Glide back in 1980. They have taken great care of me over the years. Has everything been perfect over 35 years? No, but they cetainly have done their best. What else can you hope for? I tour snd have stopped at dealerships all over, and am proud to count myself as a Topeka Historic Harley guy.

It is laid out totally different and unique. It had a lot of antique HD items including motorcycles that was free to view. It had a BBQ restaurant on the premises along with the Evel Knieval museum. The museum was pricey including charging 9.15% tax on the price of the ticket. But the museum was very interesting.

Theyre great If your looking for the big store and a 1,000 bikes and not interested in dealing with good people who will take care of you as a customer and person - This isnt the place for you.
