This is a typical low-income neighborhood Wal-mart, IE: it sucks and you should avoid it. Its not so much the people shopping there (although there are some rude folks here and there). Its that low-income neighborhood walmarts are a nightmare compared to high-end neighborhood walmart super centers. Low income neighborhood walmart means understaffed ... everyone. Need help on an aisle? Good luck finding someone. Need to check-out? Be prepared to wait 10+ minutes. There are a lot of folks shopping there using EBT / food stamps, so it boggles my mine why the cashier has to wait to call in a manager to approve he transaction all the time. This causes the whole check-out process to grind to a halt as everyone behind the EBTer is wondering what the hold up is. Go in on a rush (eg: 7pm on a saturday), and you will wait in line a good 20 minutes to get checked out as the manager is going from cashier to cashier to approve EBT orders or something. EBT has been around for a long time, so I dont know why walmart cant expedite that. I guess theres causes of fraudulent EBT theyre worried about? Either way, its annoying as crap when youre stuck in line. The cashiers try to be as patient and pleasurable as they can when folks are being nasty to them for the wait. The walmart in Plano on 75 / Legacy and the one on Marsh & Frankford as also low-income neighborhoods and you will have the exact same experience. I filed a complaint explaining that if they know they get slammed at certain hours why dont they man more cashiers. The manager called me back, and explained that it was store policy to reduce down to 2-3 cashiers after 9pm. 9pm is when low- income walmarts usually pick up in business (due to folks working night shifts), so it boggles my mind how inept the management is at walmart that they cant notice the pattern and accomodate the check-out process with more cashiers. Its more likely that they just dont care. They dont value low-income peoples time. You get to wait 30 min in line if you want to check-out after 9pm at places like this, because they want to save a buck and know youre willing to waste your valuable time. Ive never had to wait more than 5 minutes to check-out at a high-end neighborhood walmart, even after 9pm. Everyone gets the same 24 hours in a day, thats the only thing equal about all of us. But, walmart thinks a poor persons time is acceptable to waste as opposed to a more wealthier persons time. Sad. Gf and I arent shopping here again.

AVOID this walmart at all costs. I go to Eastchase walmart as of this moment. Its worth the 5 ish minute drive. I came out with groceries to get into my car and was approached by a small mexican woman "Would you like to buy some tamales?" perplexed... never having been asked that or thought I would ever be asked that in the parkinglot of a walmart at 11 PM... I responded "Umm, no thanks" and continued walking to my car. When I got into my car I attempted to back up and there were people walking behind my car, so I waited...... and waited.... and waited... and finally after about 5 minutes the people that were standing behind my car decided to move. I backed up and put it into first gear and found there were other cars in front of me in the same problem. Except... there was a LINE of black people on walmart scooters selling tamales to people... in the parkinglot.... with traffic everywhere. The one "Yale" walmart cop behind me getting out of there car. I sat for about 15 minutes waiting for a hole or something to get through, there were about 5 other cars unable to get out... a black guy SITS on the hood of my car. SITS on it. I roll my window down and say "GET THE **** off of my car!" perfectly reasonable considering Im a big guy and he just SAT on my car. At that moment his friend PUNCHES me while in my car. I step out, he realizes Ive got about a foot on him and dissapears into the tamale crowd, the guy on my hood is gone and a walmart security officer comes over to me and DEMANDS that I get back in my car and leave. DEMANDS! Like I did something wrong here. I get in my car, wait about 5 more minutes until a hole is finally made and I get to leave with a punched face and about 30 minutes of waiting. This would be fine if I was at a BAR. NOT A ****ing walmart! I will NEVER go to this walmart again nor will I allow any of my family to go there. Its OUT OF CONTROL and needs FULL-time security that dont escort the victims off the premises.

My pregnant wife went to Walmart, tried to get a roll of quarters from the cashier when she made her purchases. The cashier told her she had to go to the money center. After waiting in line for almost 15 minutes the girl at the counter told her she wouldnt give her quarters and that she needed to go to customer service. She not only was not helpful after my pregnant wife waited in line for so long but was rude and acted like she had better things to do and didnt care what my wife needed. The management was no where to be found. This happened 6:30 Friday October 14. This is not the first time Ive had problems at this Walmart. The worst managed Walmart Ive ever seen. There are employees working the floor that dont know english (how the hell are they going to give any customer service?) while im at it let me explain a visit a few weeks ago where I needed help and not just the first person I asked but the second person both come or not speak English and the third plain didnt know.

This Walmart is HORRIBLE!! I live right across the street and could walk here. I still refuse to go to this location. Im willing to pay extra money to shop at other places. Every time I go here I feel as if the staff is "on something." For example, my boyfriend and I went tonight (due to it being the only place open for what we needed) and the cashier was incoherent. She was stumbling around like she had taken something before her shift. It was very noticeable that she was high or drunk. Next thing I know, a manager comes over to count the drawer. We stood there for a 10 minutes before we went to another register due to the wait. The staff sucks and the clientele is just as bad. I would not recommend visiting this location EVER. My experience is always the same...and it is TERRIBLE. I understand that the AT&T stadium is right across the street. Yet if youre visiting for an event I would still recommend going to another location for what you need.

As a walmart employee myself, I take my job very seriously; however, this walmarts staff seem horribly detached from customer interest. Asking two different emplyees, neither one of them (one being a department manager) would not check for product availability upon being asked, the one in Electronics being so distasteful to even say that it wasnt her department and that she would not deal with customer interest, but can talk to someone she is obviously friends with instead of helping a customer. In addition to this, the employees appear to either be on their phone or too busy talking amongst theirselves to address customer needs. Looking at this large facility, I thought that it would have a good staff, as the store looks nice;however, the lackluster customer service skills on simple questions are shocking, and Im sure they are losing tons of business, including mine, because their own mediocrity.
