Had a disappointing experience with a washer repair. The technician did try hard to fix the issue, but wasnt able to initially diagnose the root cause of the problem. One fix was tried, but didnt resolve the issue. So we ordered another part, and scheduled a time for the second repair attempt. The technician came as scheduled, but I was unable to hear the doorbell and knocks (wouldnt have believed he came if not for the card on the front door). We rescheduled for the following week. 2nd attempt to meet failed as well, never heard the technician come to the door. I take partial blame, as I should have positioned myself in the living room or somewhere that I could hear the bell/knocks. However, no phone call was made to me like most modern service companys do if they cant find the homeowner initially, so I do feel like they could have tried much harder to contact me once arriving. The technician simply left after not receiving a quick answer at the door. They were under the impression that I was not at home, I think because my vehicle was in the garage. All of this would not necessarily be reason for a low rating on a review, but it was in their response afterward that warranted it. I called the day after the second unsuccessful service call attempt. After introducing myself I was interrupted mid-sentence and was told almost word for word, "Okay look, I am so sick of dealing with this, you just dont seem to be able to make your appointments. Well just send the part back and restock it and we refuse service to you. Have a day." I was then hung up on before I had a chance to have a discussion of any sort. I understand the frustration of regarding the unsuccessful service calls, but I was equally frustrated. I, also, was taking time away from my work day to make the appointments and felt like my time was being wasted as well. It was as if they thought I was benefiting or enjoying making this difficult on them. One of the fundamental issues with this (aside from poor courtesy and general customer service) attitude of refusing me service is that we have already entered into an agreement. The service call agreement states that we have 30 days to resolve the issue for the cost of the initial service call, plus parts. To refuse me service after the process has initiated isnt right, now I am out roughly $100, but my problem is completely unresolved. The part we replaced was a guess and didnt fix the problems Ive been having. That leaves me footing the bill for a new service call with another company, plus parts cost. I waited about two weeks before posting this review, just to leave time to "cool off" and have perspective before posting. I also wanted The Appliance Guys to have the opportunity to call back and make it right before posting anything. But after waiting (and not receiving any sort of communication from them), I do feel like I was treated unprofessionally and I still feel like were in the wrong to not finish the job they started because of the confusion we had in the two final service call attempts. I still give them a 2 instead of a 1, because I can tell they did initially want to fix the problem and tried to at first. They were also on top of making call backs for appointments and reschedules. However, due to their rude and unprofessional treatment at the end and their lack of ability to call my mobile phone on appointment arrival, I would have to say my experience was a 2 out of 5. Id certainly not recommend them. I own two properties and deal with service companies quite often. This is my first negative experience of the sort. Instead, I do highly recommend Alpha Omega Appliance Repair, they have always responded quickly, efficiency, and courteously to my repair needs.

I bought a washer and dryer from this business several years ago. I had very few issues with the two and was initially, a huge promoter of the business. however, two weeks ago my dryer stopped working. I called them to come out and take a look as I have anytime issues came up before. The man they sent out said my dryer was "dangerous". When I asked him why, he said that the piece that keeps the dryer from getting too hot was missing. I told him that I bought it from them that way. He said he was sure it was fine since I had it this way all these years. He replaced a fuse and reattached the wire that had burnt off. I noticed when he left, the dryer got much hotter than it ever had before. Ive spent the last two weeks using the dryer only when I am home because I was concerned. I did trust them though and never thought they would put my family in danger. Yesterday when I came home from work, my house smelt like something electrical was on fire. I ran through inspecting in a panic. When I reached my laundry room, it was at least a hundred degrees in there. When I touched the dryer, it was too hot to keep my fingers on. I reacted and unplugged it and noticed then, even the plug was hot. I then realized the lint filter and door were completely melted and bubbled up. As was a laundry basket that was sitting on the dryer. I had no idea that a dryer could supply heat if it wasnt on. My twelve year old son was home alone. The fire marshal spoke to me about this today and said Im very lucky I did not lose everything including my baby. I called appliance guys to get help with this. They said they warrantee repairs for 30 days after service. They sent a different man out that said he thought the dryer was very dangerous and that this part shouldve never been bypassed. THEIR OWN EMPLOYEE. Their solution to my problem: They want to charge me an additional $150 for the piece to make my burnt up dryer safe. AFTER they sold it to me with the missing piece. All I wanted was my $80 back. I even offered to let them take their ticking time bomb back. They refused and the manager will not even call me back. They could have saved me as a customer if they even acted like they cared about what almost took place in my home. After speaking to some other people in my area, I learned the owners son quit because of shady business practices. I would have happily walked into their store and purchased a set if they stood behind their repairs. Better business bureau reports shall follow this incident. Be very cautious. You could lose a lot if you buy from someone who sells dryers that burn up all on their own.

Id already looked at a couple of other appliance places with no luck and unimpressed with the sad selection and prices Id found so far. I wasnt even picky about the outward appearance of the appliances, or if they matched; I was mainly concerned with getting something at a price I could afford, that wouldnt break down right after I bought it, and I needed affordable delivery, also hard to find. After reading online reviews, I was skeptical after seeing the one particularly bad review for Appliance Guys, but I considered that most of the reviews were excellent, and the OWNER had taken his time to respond to the bad review I saw here, which I thought was impressive, and showed that he cares about his company and reputation, so I took a chance. Appliance Guys is a small, but clean place, and they had a good selection of what I wanted. They guaranteed the appliances for 30 days, and after that, if I ever needed a tech to come out, the service call would be a fair price, nothing outrageous. The appliances were clean, and the delivery price was very fair, even though Im upstairs. Knowing absolutely nothing about what to look for, other than to make sure there were no worn out hoses, I asked the tech, "if I was your mother, which one would you point me to"? We made a deal on the ones he pointed out, and they delivered the appliances on time, with no complaint about the stairs or the tight space they had to go into. They took the time to show me how to level the appliances if they should ever need it, and explained how to operate them to keep them in great condition. So far, so excellent! Ive had these since the first of March, and no issues. Not a squeak, no leaks, no bangs, or weird noises. Both are very quiet and efficient, and I am extremely pleased so far. I told these guys if they screwed me over, Id leave a bad review on here, but they did me right, so it is my pleasure to highly recommend them! I found them all to be very helpful, and I had a great experience buying my used washer and dryer from them.
