Based on my experiences with 2 of the OWNERS, Chagrin Pet & Garden Supply is not a good place to spend your money. I needed to replace one of my larger Stihl chainsaws so I called some of the area dealerships. I got a great price from one dealer who is over an hour away so I stopped in Chagrin Pet & Garden Supply to see if theyd match the price. Mike in the showroom was not able to offer anything other than list price and took down my contact info. Travis - one of the owners - called me back in short order. Not only did he say hed beat the price by $5, Chagrin Pet & Garden Supply would also give me a sixer of HP Ultra oil. I was pretty happy at this point. The only catch was that I had to provide a written quote from the other dealer. I expressed concern that I would get the competing dealer into trouble with corporate (I dont do business that way). Travis assured me that the quote I brought in to him would NOT be used to get the other dealer into trouble with Stihl USA. Long story made short, I got the written quote and went back to Chagrin Pet & Garden Supply to buy a saw. I asked for Travis, but was introduced to his brother Todd - also an owner. Not only did Todd berate me in front of his staff, he also told me he "hates people who work dealerships for price." As if this werent enough, during Todds soapbox sermon on how to maintain good business relationships, he said three times that any written competitors quote below Stihl USA guidelines goes directly back to the corporate offices so they can deal with the competing dealership from that end. I decided not to share the competitor quote or buy a saw that day. Todd said as he walked away from me: "I have 3 of (that saw) in stock, come see me when you want to pay for good service." HA! I hope all 3 are still in his stockroom. I do want to point out that Travis called me back after I posted this review. He let me know that he needs the competitor quote not to send back to corporate, but to cover his backside if corporate found out that he sold me a saw below Stihl pricing guidelines. I have modified the above review as a result our conversation.

Bought a John Deere 1025r TLB also multiple Sthil products as well. The staff could not have been more helpful or easy to work with. Josh the sales rep always responded the same day through email or phone calls, and if I would call ahead they would have it ready for me when I got there. They have everything you need or could get it in a timely manor. After buying the tractor they gave my 1 year old son a die cast John Deere tractor toy (that he plays with everyday) and my 9yo daughter a pink JD hat and shirt. I had a situation where I bent a bracket somehow on the drive over deck. Scott the sales manager drove out to my house after hours and worked on it for over an hour on his own. I would always go back to Chagrin Pet for all my tractor or outdoor power tool needs. Had another situation where a stud broke on my mulching kit for the deck. Josh was able to order the parts and have them there in a few days and they swapped it out with no problem. Thanks again to all the staff at Chagrin Pet for the help so far. Customer service is something they seem to take very seriously and I would go back there for everything. I highly recommend stopping in and giving them a try. Nothing runs like a Deere!

Ive been a customer of Chagrin Pet, Garden & Power Equipment for several years. I purchased a used Stihl Chainsaw in like new condition from Mike Loughry in their Stihl Showroom and couldnt be happier! This is not your average company! The family and the business are terrific and stand behind, service and repair John Deere, Stihl, Honda, Scag and more. The saw I bought was the legandary MS660 that I used to cut down a massive 65 to 75 foot tall Oak. Mike Loughry in Sales sold me the saw and I knew the company would stand behind my purchase if there was a problem with the saw but there wasnt any. In case you dont know this saw its a 7+hp legandary one professional model thats used in Stihl Logging Competitions and sells for $1200 plus. I also buy my premium pet food from Chagrin Pet and Garden. I love the company, the service and the professionals that work here!!!! Just amazing folks that make me want to keep coming back again and again. I cant say enough about them really and you need to come to see their great store, meet the people who work there and behold the products and service to appreciate the experience yourself!!!!!! I Love this place!

I visited 7 dealerships looking for a top quality scag ZTR. 6 dealerships either ignored me, treated me as if I was a moron, didnt attempt any assist with my need to adapt the bigger mowers to my tiny 5 frame.and/or had little clue as to what they were selling and tried to get me to buy their lessor models...Then I happened by Chagrin PG&PE expecting all the same horrible lack of service. To my stunned surprise all the staff were 100% friendly, helpful and loaded with knowledge and more than happy to spend time and answer questions. The store was stocked well and there was more than ample parking. Needless to say, Im buying my mower from them and am looking forward to future service.

Awful customer service. Put deposit on $3k+ piece of equipment 3 weeks ago. Was told it would arrive in 10 days and they would call. After no call I called on day 11. They said 3 more days. Visited in person to pick up in 3 days and they said it’s here but need to assemble. Will call in a day. No call. I called two days later they said it’s not in but they will call in 2 days. No call. I talked to owner on Sat and he said oops, don’t know, will call you Monday. It’s now Monday 6:30 pm and no call and they are closed. They obviously don’t want my business and don’t give a darn about their customers. Will go to Chardon from now on.

I bought a John Deere 2320 tractor from Chagrin Pet and Garden. I did so even though I was advised to not deal with this business. I took my 2320 tractor in on August 7 2015, and was told that it would be 14 business days to repair. Today, August 28, no communications were made to inform me of the issue, or that any work has been started on my tractor. I was informed when I visited the store today that the repairs would be in excess of $2500.00 and would be done at this time next week.We will see if their word will be kept this time around. I am not pleased at this time.

*Update* Originally I had a pricing issue related to someone giving me a price over the phone that turned out to be incorrect. Travis, one of the owners, later reached out to me and was very understanding as to the trouble the mistake had caused and was able to make good on a price that I felt was more than fair. On both trips into the store the sales guys were exceptionally friendly and knowledgeable - more so than other places I have frequented, and that goes a long way when choosing a business to support.
