This is a great pet shop, its not very big but its run by a very nice couple who genuinely care for animals. There may not be a huge selection like bigger places but its quality over quantity. There are kittens, birds, fish, and reptiles along with the necessary supplies. There are friendly adult cats roaming the place, that are older and have bellies but are NOT pregnant. The kittens they sell are dropped of by people who dont want them when their cat gets pregnant, the kittens are cared for there and have had their shots when you buy them. They may be a little pricier than other places but they dont have several chains selling subpar items to help with costs. Weve stopped in just to see the kittens, bought one several years ago, and more recently purchased 2 rats. All the animals have been healthy and if you have any issues you can always go talk to them. Theyve been doing this for quite some time and you cant guarantee that going to PetSmart the employees know anything about what they are doing.

This is generally one of the best local pet shops. They have a nice cat that wanders around in the store, and have a nice selection as well as supplies. Although its a little shabby-looking on the outside, it is actually very well kept. The fish are alive and well unlike other places where theyre floating around dead, and they also give great advice to various pet owners. Btw, the car lt is fat, it has always been fat and always will be. It is not pregnant. Id highly recommend this place to anyone.

i love this place i have been going there since i was a kid getting goldfish for my turtles :) and its not a kitten farm to whatever butthole said that. they have a fat white cat that walks around and its not pregnant. I love how its a family business like my own and the fact that they genuinely care for the well being of all animals including your own. Hutch is a good guy who makes an honest living. LOVE IT

The lady warned us her cat and bird didnt like people.......why do you have them at a public animal place then? The tanks were so dirty alot of them you couldnt see threw and she wants 75-125$ for kittens she rescued? Thats ridiculous go to Craigslists for free. Reviews were so good we were excited to go and very disappointed wouldnt recommend to anyone

This place is a kitten mill. There are always pregnant cats walking around and kittens in tiny cages. I feel so bad for them. Everything is overpriced and there isnt much selection unless you are looking for expensive cat food or exotic fish. Its the only pet store within about 10 miles of KSU, which makes it a further disappointment.

A small business that I visit frequently for quality fish food and fish keeping advice. I really appreciate how Betta fish are kept in 5 gallon tanks. Few pet retails attend to the animals needs over sales like Hutch.

I go out of my way to buy fish food and supplies there. But the value is in their knowledge. They give out free advice all the time. If you have questions about fish, go here, no the chains.

Building is a bit run down BUT the owner knows his stuff. Bought fish a year ago and all are still alive and growing and breeding. Animals are well taken care of and it shows.
