Im very disappointed with the customer service with tailwaggers. I called at the end of February inquiring about beginners training classes. I was very excited to have my puppy on the waiting list for the beginners class. I was put on the waiting list and was told I would receive a phone call before the training class starts. But that they didnt know when that was but the lady said it would be in March. Never received a call..about 2-3 weeks later around March, I called to check up (thinking my number wasnt put down correctly) and Lindsay answered. She sounded considerably rude (over my curiousity)over the phone. She made a short remark "we will call when we know when training starts, okay? You dont need to call us." Sounded as if she was annoyed with me for even asking why I havent received a phone call and on top of that I only called that time wondering what was up..i wasnt someone who called everyday or every week. In my opinion you dont say that to customers. Its rude. I then called once again after two -ish weeks of no phone call and was told by Lindsay that the beginner class has already started this past Saturday. I said I was on the waiting list back before March and confused why I never received a phone call. She had no good reason why they didnt contact me before hand (shouldve been a weeks notice right?) considering they had my correct information and telephone number. She said "we will talk with the trainer and set up a time and date to get you in for a make up class, we will call you back at the end of the day and make sure its taken care of." Sounds like a good promise to a customer who really wants to go to tailwaggers for dog training right? Well...I havent received that phone call to get me into training at all and honestly I dont want to be apart of a program that has poor communication and who dont keep their word to take care of a customer who wants their service. I was really excited to go to tailwaggers for training because from what I saw on the website it looks like a pretty cool place for dogs. Im really disappointed and I went to another location who offered me to come right away on the phone and already had the information at hand of dates and times. Tailwaggers needs to get their training classes more organized. They need to get their dates and times readily available and their customer service reps to be more prompt at calling back every number on the list for training classes. Im pretty disappointed and Im sure there are some pretty convenient excuses for tailwaggers...but I waited for too long when my puppy couldve had training somewhere else. I thought patience would pay off but all its gotten me is going to another location. Im sure you all are really great people. I also dont leave reviews on anyones sites. Usually Im pretty understanding and patient. I have no hard feelings towards tailwaggers. But I was completely disappointed to the point that I had to let you guys know.

To anyone who is searching for a safe, secure, monitored and fun place for their loved dogs, I would say this... Tailwaggers is a great find and we are thankful Tommy decided to open his business on the island. We have two family pets, both are rescue dogs, one is a beautiful boxer who can be described as "complex" at times. The boxer came to us with issues of being very territorial, protective to a fault at times, and we have spent a great amount of time, money, patience and love with him. Hes a beautiful, affectionate dog we cant imagine not having in our lives. We would never leave him anywhere we were not 100% comfortable with. From the minute he met Tommy, it was obvious that he loved and respected him. They say dogs have a sixth sense that people dont have. They can sense danger and fear among other things. While we were checking out Tailwaggers and Tommy and his staff, our boxer was too! And he let us know he was happy and felt safe and secure there. We are very particular people, and the cost is not at the top of our list of concerns, the safety and happiness of our pets is paramount. St. Simons really needed a place like Tailwaggers. We take our dogs everywhere, but once in a while we do need a place for boarding and a play day with other dogs so our dogs remain active and well socialized. We would definitely recommend Tailwaggers with no reservations at all. As a very important side note, Tommy also has spent addl time with us helping with the final issue we had with our boxer of "fence running". He is incredibly accommodating and truly wants to help pet owners with any issues they may have. He is an excellent trainer, explains everything in terms you can relate to, and wow, does he know his stuff! Our two pieces of advice: 1. Go visit anyplace you are considering using for dog playcare/daycare and be 100% comfortable before you take your dog. Tailwaggers passed our test with flying colors. Clean, safe, plenty of caring staff, climate controlled, easy to get to and do business with. 2. DO NOT OVERLOOK Tommys training services. Very reasonably priced, he is as much if not more knowledgable than the trainers we have used in Atlanta. To know us is to know we are very particular, whether its our house, our kids, or our pets. And for us to recommend someone personally, believe me, they have to be exceptional in their area of expertise, wonderful to deal with, and give us a great experience. Thank you Tommy and all!

I would never leave my dogs here. I went by, despite hearing bad word of mouth regarding the owner, I wanted to give it a fair chance especially since its brand new. The prices are reasonable, certainly less than I pay now for a sitter to come to my own house 4 times a day, but I did not find the accommodations fitting to dogs. Its a small store in a strip mall. Let me clarify, my two dogs are not my first dogs, and I have traveled while living in two other cities and I have used dog hotels before. I have used places that were spacious and had indoor pool and a small room for dog to sleep in about 4 feet across and 8 feet long and even larger ones for 2 dogs. Here there is no outside at all for them to have fresh air. Bizarrely, there were homemade boxes with plastic grass on them for the dogs to relieve themselves on? In the same place they play. My dogs are trained not to go inside, no way they would pee onto a box with plastic grass, they would probably hold it all day waiting to go out. The play area is concrete floor with flimsy plastic fencing around it. It looked like a dog could knock it over if more than one jumped. The kenneling area looked like the dogs were zoo exhibits inside compartments the size of shower stalls. I would be claustrophobic in there. The air did not seem like it could flow well because the walls were divided and closed in. They can only see out of the front but its solid glass. The whole place was way too small. It is decorated for humans and has no amenities for any dog over maybe 10 pounds. I did not use the services because of the accommodations being disappointing.
