Real fine folks run this place. Ive done business with this location and others over the last 25 years (since I bought the first bike for my daughter there). Its easy for anybody (with bad luggage) to write a bad review with no experience, but these folks (with a huge lull in the last time I biked) have made it a pleasure to get right back into the sport, purchase a good bike meeting my needs, and find a place that can do maintenance on these highly technical bikes at a reasonable price that keeps this place vibrant ! My favorite piece is the ability to one-stop-shop, enjoy access to a huge selection, meet with a skilled mechanic that can tell me on-the-fly exactly whats up with my bike (what its going to cost to get it in tip-top shape) and to treat me right. (There will always be the one-off person that wants too much and has unreasonable expectations of fellow humans). That said, ASBS, thanks for all you do (great experience : great for us older athletes : great for the Raleigh community). Cheers !

Great people, great service! I dealt with three different people in this shop. All were honest, helpful and very knowledgeable. We were buying two bikes with different needs and sizes for each. Patient beyond belief! Definitely high quality service. One person spent at least 45 minutes working to install a rack on my car, including trying various straps and positions. Ultimately the salesperson decided that the fit wasnt exactly right even though the rack was anchored to the car. They refunded my purchase price without any problem. This is a great shop, and its been in business for a long time. It should be the first place that you shop. It is a classy place with great people. It was highly recommended to me by a friend and this advice could not have been better. Definitely first rate!

I compete in triathlon and was looking for a local bike shop to help me service and maintain my bike. The team at All Star was very friendly and incredibly knowledgeable. The service team is always willing to answer questions and has worked my bike into the service rotation within the same day on a few occasions. Also, they are incredibly focused on helping the customer solve his or her problem. On one of my visits I was seeking a specific cleat for my shoes and they didnt have the part I needed. They directed me to a competitor a few miles down the road and assured me that I could find the part there. I was so impressed with their level of commitment that I drove back by the store after getting the part at the other store just to say thanks. Give these guys a look for all your bike needs!

I have also had a very bad experience at All Star Bikes at the Falls of the Neuse location. When I entered the store, there was a guy behind the cash register and in a very rude tone, his FIRST words to me were "What ya need?" So trying to give him the benefit of the doubt and take the high road, I said "Hows it going today?". He responded "What ya need?" Needless to say, I turned around and walked out. I went to The Bicycle Chain and was greeted like they had an interest in earning my business and the staff was very knowledgeable. Long story short, I eventually ended up spending approximately $2k with The Bicycle Chain.

When I decided to buy a new bike, I went to 9 shops and even some twice and rode different bikes. I decided to buy a Specialized Hardrock Sport at All Star Bikes. They had the bike I needed in a box, we negotiated a deal, and I bought it on the spot. I think it is important to deal with a local dealer if possible. As long as they offer a good product, good service and both at a fair price, they will be around for a long time. I feel like the shop on off Wade Ave worked with me and I will be doing more business with them.

My wife saw a helmet that she liked and since our LBS couldnt order the brand and we were in Raleigh we decided to take a look. Shop had a great selection of bikes, of all levels, and the staff was amazingly helpful trying to find one in her size to at least try on. Unsuccessful in finding the helmet as we were only going to be in town one more day we still had a wonderful conversation with the shop guys even though they knew there was no way to make a sale. Very passionate guys about bikes.

I brought a 2010 GT MTB in and was considering replacing it or having it serviced. They provided me sound guidance and I ended up just getting it serviced. They have the breaks and gears working great. They even repaired the suspension fork up which they were doubtful of being able to unlock during the consultation. All of this on the lowest end of their estimated cost.

All of the staff worked to help me find the perfect bike and then again to get me on that bike with a good price. After I purchased my Specialized, they took the time to fit me on the bike to make sure the fit was perfect. The whole time they were very understanding and I wasnt rushed at all. I highly recommend this LBS and will be returning again!

I received great customer service from Wes! I know nothing about bikes, but at least knew that I needed mine tuned up. He was very knowledgable and friendly. He also had my bike tuned up and my derailer adjusted within a matter for hours. Thanks for the great customer service, Wes!
