Where do I start? Hell, I dont know. So this is going to seem rambling: Ive had a few dealings with them, and every one of them has been positive. Bought a helmet - excellent price, had the one I wanted (coincidentally, without seeing it, the exact pattern I wanted too!), worked with me on my "special needs" for fitment (Im picky, and I wear glasses because Im nerd that way). Then proceeded to help me get a replacement set of cheek pads (to accommodate fitment) and also a visor - which was very cool! (Highly suggest a transition visor for your Bell, if it is offered for your model/fit of helmet) Next dealing involved my bike, which Id only bought recently. I typically do most all of my service on my vehicles myself. Not being (specifically) a motorcycle mechanic, I figured Id let the first service be done by someone who does it on a day in and day out basis. What luck did I have to find someone whos as passionate, or even more so, than I am! And just as anal (in all the good ways). He took care of my bike, was done WAY faster than I even remotely planned on it being done, and just showed an excellent over all care for the bike. He even answered my text when I had a simplistic question for him later, when I would have had the answer if I had simply listened the first time and not been in such awe. Lastly, Greg is just chill. I know he just got married, so he probably needs whatever work he can get right now. We all know how that married life is, right? But seriously, this is one of those shops where you WANT to find a reason to take your bike there. If for no other reason than to shoot the breeze for five, get some quality, passionate work done on your bike, and move on about the day. I find myself almost wanting to ride the miles to the next service, just so I can take it back.

Where can I begin. First of all I walk into this shop and the first thing I notice is the layout. The layout of store was extremely well put together. Beautiful! Everything was clean everything was organized and I just love everything about the store. Secondly I I get help from a guy, I forget his name and yes he did introduce himself, but I get help from this gentleman (with a long beard) who took the time to explain to me that I didnt need the part that I came for which he could have easily sold to me. Then he took the time and listened to what my issue was, walked me through a couple of suggestive ideas that could have possibly help me, and did absolutely help me by the way. Listen I work with the public and Im just the type of person that appreciates good service when I get it! If I walk into a business and they act as though I have to beg them to take my money meaning they dont have good service or they dont want to acknowledge me [once is fine], I dont go back. I dont make a lot of noise about it, I dont complain, I dont write bad reviews, but I simply just dont go back to places that dont appreciate my business... and this place not only did they help me by not selling me a part that I came for that I did not need, but they also explained to me what my issue was, gave me some things to try, and didnt try to upsell me or sell me on any other thing. Upon leaving they also gave me a business card and a sticker which I thought was pretty cool so that I could text my questions... keep in mind I DIDNT SPEND ANY MONEY...SOOO HELL I purchased a Bad ass hat, hell thats the least I could do knowing that I came there to spend money and I took away from time that they would have been using to work on something else, which is what they get paid to do! Thanks guys customer for life!

They are very inconsistent. The first time we took our bike to them, it was a good experience and they did what we expected. The second time we used them was a very different experience. The second time, we had them pick up the bike because it had a flat tire. They were supposed to fix the flat and call us when it was time to pick it back up. Well, they said they fixed the flat, but it still had a leak. We picked it up and the next morning it was flat again. We called them, texted, etc. It took THREE WEEKS to get them to respond to us. Then they tried to blame us for the flat and said they would get back to us about when they could come pick it up to fix it again, plus they were going to charge us again to fix it! Well, I blew up the tire myself enough to get it to the gas station, blew it up the rest of the way, and took it to Asheboro to the Honda bike shop there. They have always done good work, but are more expensive. There was something IN THE TUBE!, the IRONWORKS shop didnt repair the tire (told us they did). When I called Greg at Ironworks and let him know we had gone to a different shop and what they had said, he started YELLING at me! Wow, I wont ever go there again and will definitely not recommend them to any of my biking friends.

Its really easy for me to blow up the internets with good comments about how awesome it is to have a locally owned bike shop but I have to give serious gratitude to Greg. He is not only a wealth of knowledge and experience but he is also very approachable and unbelievably considerate! I stopped by a handful of times with tons of questions about my project or to buy parts. He never once made me feel like I couldnt handle my own work and he was more than willing to offer up tips and advice. Once I got my bike running I cruised by the shop. I expected to leave it with him a few days to let him do the final fine tuning. Instead he dropped what he was doing and gave me over an hour of his undivided attention. To me, the job at hand was tedious and frustrating and would have had me cursing and throwing tools. In a very cool and humorous manner he found and fixed a couple of issues that had tormented me for days. The cost was super reasonable and I was back on the road. The best part of this experience is I know have made a friend and hope to meet many more through Ironworks. Thanks Greg!

I took my motor cycle to these people in January they kept my bike for two months and it still will not Start or run they were to restore my 1983 cb1100 they charge me 1800 dollars to fix my bike it still will not run my mistake for taking it there and I the reason I did not go back because I have PTSD and I might be responsible for my actions. The took things off my motor cycle that was not replaceable like a cruse control that was on my bike it was remove without my permission I found that all this was done after I got home. I really thought these guys knew what they were doing but not I have to pay someone else to fix it right and they do not know how to jet carbs on these type of bikes they put a new alternator on it and it will not charge but these guys are sorry and it you want to take your bike there go for it but you will be sorry I would not recommend these guys to anybody I got robbed.
