ALL THESE REVIEWS ARE FAKE!!! THIS GUY IS THE MOST DISRESPECTFUL GUY YOUll EVER MEET. THE PRODUCTS ARE OLD WITH PREMIUM PRICES ( I understand that theyre are expensive bikes out there and intended for VALUE, but this is NOT the case). He thinks a mark up on prices can be put on due to him being the only one around. DONT FALL FOR THIS!! Hes NOT the only bicycle shop in NYC. He treated me like if I was a one time customer. I WAS PREPARED TO PAY FOR 20 HIGH-END ($1000+ up) BICYCLES AT ONCE DUE TO SOME INTERNATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS. SCAM CENTRAL!!! JOB TITLE: CON-ARTIST This review based on my experience as a brick and mortar business owner for 15 years in the LIC & Astoria community ... Let this guy go out of business. IF I EXIST???!!!! JOB TITLE: CON-ARTIST I WAS THE ONE TESTING HIM FOR A BIKE ASSEMBLY. Im NOT going to drop that type of money on ANYONE! As I stated before, this guy is most DISREPECTFULL PERSON YOUll EVER MEET. I never treat my customers that way. FYI: IM NOT A "YELPER"(Which they classified me for "not recommended review" because you can PAY for this control of FAKE reviews or thinking that customers threatening for putting FALSE reviews on yelp) Im a BUSINESS MAN! You piece of S#*t! Btw: IM GOING TO MAKE SURE YOU GO OUT OF BUSINESS!

They are extremely fair with small repairs and dont try to nickel and dime you and drum up the price. Ive taken my bike in multiple times to get brakes cleaned and cables changed and they are the cheapest around. Dont be put off by the size of the place or age of the employees - theyre very knowledgeable and efficient without being "snooty" about it like other bike stores. They also seem to carry a very well selected limited inventory of parts and accessories so you dont waste time with crappy parts or overpriced name brands. The new bike selection is a bit limited and for that Id suggest going out to Long Island or up to the Bronx, but for everything else this is a great place.

LIC Bikes have a lousy choice of 3 barely-functioning bikes for rent that are very cheap and run-down, not to mention the fact that they don’t comply with legal requirements like having lights and a bell. I had to endure a painfully broken and uncomfortable seat for a day because the adjustment they made to fix the seat only lasted a short while after I left the store. They dismissed and denied my complaints when the bike was returned. The price may seam low, but don’t be tempted – it is not worth the bad service and the terrible condition of their bikes. I would be doubtful of the products LIC Bikes sell as well.

Ive frequented LIC bikes numerous times and have always received great service and great prices. Bought two bikes there and have been able to take them back for free service. Try that in the city! Also, I like the fact that its a small business and supports someone who is very involved in bicycling. Ive used other shops and often get attitude about gear whereas here its very friendly and not elitist at all. If you need a good deal on a basic bike or some servicing Id recommend LIC bikes.

Excellent! I purchased my bike from here, and the staff was very friendly and informative. When you purchase a bike from here, they include basic maintenance (adjusting/replacing gear shifter lines, etc). I hit a bump in the road in my bike and bent the front rim ever so slightly. I took the bike in the next day and they quickly shaped it up for me for free. Even if youre not in the mood to buy anything, they have a free air compressor near the front door.

Amazing bike shop! I got my high end Scott Genius mountain bike here and the service has been amazing every time. The three year service included is a godsend for anyone not handy with tools... and its really nice to get a super clean tuned bike after each riding season in NYC. The staff is super knowledgeable about the tech side of things as well. Fast turn around and good attention to detail. Highly recommended!

I found this place on my headed over the bridge and noticed it. Went in received excellent service from Carlos. I now live in Brooklyn and I still go to L.I.C Bicycles bc its sort of like your mechanic once youve found a place you trust you just keep going back.

I brought my bike in to have my brakes tightened. They tried to talk me out of it. When they finally acquiesced, the man brought me my bike back and my pedal was broken. Im not even going bother taking it back for them to fix it.

I probably had the best experience when it comes to bike rental, the staff were friendly, the rates were unbeatable, the bike was awesome, and it is so close to NYC(manhattan) just a short ride over the bridge

I had my mountain bike tuned up here and they did a really good job. It was like riding a different bike! I will be taking my road bike there also. Friendly group, small business. I like them.

Carlos rocks seriously! We had 2 flat tires on our wheelchair, they ordered spareparts overnight and repaired it within half an hour. Friendly staff, good service, fair price.
