2/10/2017 It started off good 2 years ago (which is the only reason he got 2 stars from me) but has gotten progressively worse - like AJ doesnt care anymore. That has unfortunately been my experience with him...last year I gave him my bike to tune up before a century ride...he gave it back to me in worse condition than I gave it to him - I had scheduled a 50 mile ride that day to train for the century...the gears were so messed up - i literally couldnt ride the bike - they were in much worse condition than how I gave it to him - I called him to tell him and he told me "he thought his assistant checked the gears" !! are you kidding me - i lost that day of training and it took 4 trips to his shop get my bike - when i arrived to pick it up - he called my bike "the Trek from Hell which made me extremely defensive... I decided to give him one more try this season - i dropped the bike off a week ago today to be tuned up - a week later no phone call - so I call him to see what the progress was - and he said he hasnt even looked at it yet - that he had scheduled my bike for today (conveniently) then went on about how yesterdays snow storm was the reason he was behind - when he had the bike for 6 days prior to yesterdays storm... He just doesnt care anymore about my bike - again this has unfortunately been my experience.. Ive spent alot of money in his shop over the past 2 years and Ive ALWAYS been very respectful and appreciative and have recommended his shop That ENDS today... - i shouldve been treated like a premium customer - instead he clearly has no regard for my business... I will never bring my bike there again...and I would highly recommend you dont either...

Great bike shop, in my opinion one of the best in the tri-state area especially for any form of mountain biking. The owner is an amazing mechanic and very experienced mountain biker, he raced pro level downhill in his younger years and still races in xc events and road race event. The shop has also built some of the original trails in blue mountain and that alone is awesome! The owner has just been in the industry so long his knowledge, advice and help on my bikes have always been spot on. Ive been bringing all my bikes to downcycles for 15+ years for repairs and service and they keep them in perfect working condition.

bike broke down while riding blue mtn went to local shop good customer service or so i thought. gave me wrong rear d 10/34 instead of 10/36 and gave me a long cage rear d instead of med d the problem im having with this is they didnt tell me and i couldnt figure out y my bike wasnt riding right. yeah sure i couldve looked and counted the teeth but bike shops should be trust worthy its part of the culture. so i got had for almost 200 bucks will not recommend or go to this shop again no can do

Great shop where experts and casual riders both get treated well. Thats because crew actually love bikes and riding, and always want to enhance any riders experience. Buy a bike there and always be remembered and helped. You get a lot more than from buying a bike as an anon off a website. When it comes to advice Ive learned not to doubt what they tell me. One of the better retail spots of any kind

Ive been doing business with Down Cycle for over 18 years. Personalized service and care, and great expertise really differentiate Down Cycle from every other bike shop Ive ever worked with. It is not a big flashy store but AJ (owner) helps every customer find the right bike for the budget - and then he will take care of that bike and its owner for life.

Whenever I find a local shop with people who are knowledgeable and helpful, I make sure I give them my business over some e-commerce site that has lower prices and no support. Down Cycles is one of those places; they love riding, know their stuff, and are really helpful and friendly.

I purchased a FS Yeti from AJ this spring. The entire experience was fantastic from start to finish. AJ is very knowledgeable and a pleasure to do business with. If youre looking for anything from a bike to a pair of cloves, head to Down Cycles, you wont regret it!

Great Local Bike shop. Very decent selection for a small shop, does good work on bikes, both on the cheaper and high end. They will set you up right and get you on the trails!

Great selection, solid work, and most importantly friendly and helpful owner. New to the area and he took at least 30 minutes to suggest some rides and bike clubs in the area.
