Terrible, rude service. I was recently in the shop for a small purchase and politely informed the staff that Id been given the wrong change. Their response was very hostile, basically accusing me of lying. They took the part back, shoved my money back and me, and told me never to come in the store again -- all over a $10 discrepancy. Sheesh, this is no way to run a small, neighborhood business! I later bought the same part at Red Lantern Bicycles down the street, where I got great service and had the part installed free of charge. Skip this bike store, which currently operates with the same management under a different name, in favor of Red Lantern, Bicycle Habitat, 718 Cyclery, or any other of the numerous bicycle shop options in Brooklyn.

After two visits to this neigborhood shop, Im done. Both times Ive been ignored as I patiently waited for service (the first time for a stuck U-lock and the second to have some salted-shut bearing soaked and greased) and once finally acknowledged, I was denied service...but in their defense, after they said they wouldnt do the repairs or "didnt have time," they tried to sell me new parts. Ive been to many shops around Brooklyn (and around the country) and this is by far the rudest and least helpful group of mechanics Ive EVER encountered. Steer clear of these jokers unless you want to spend exorbitant cash for new parts instead of having actual repairs done.

This place has NO idea what their doing and their over charging. They told me they couldnt change my tube because my tire was to worn. Being a bike messenger, I know what my tires can and cant do. I told them not to worry about the tire and just put the tube in. They went on to argue with me about how they would be wasting their time doing so. No problem. I decided not to be so lazy and changed it myself outside their shop. A few weeks prior, My friend had the same problem. Went to get a tube changed and came back to them putting on a new tire trying to charge him for it.

Im only writing a review to confirm that the other reviews are spot on. These people are minimally knowledgeable about bicycles and are also rude. They horribly overprice their supplies and services and its obvious they try outrageously hard to sell you things you dont need, mostly by criticizing your bike. He also tried to sell me new tires by saying color tires are more likely to go flat on me? I have Maxxis Re-Fuse Kevlar tires and he was trying to sell me low end Kendas. DONT GO HERE. Bespoke Bicycles and Bicycle Station are in the area.

I bought a wheel here that broke as soon as I left. They would not refund or exchange it, even though I had a receipt and it was less than 24 hours later. Great location, bad bike shop. I would maybe trust them to fix a flat, but nothing more. Avoid this place ! Brooklyn has enough great bike shops & doesnt need this one. My mistake, lesson learned.

Great store with a wide selection of classic to modern bicycles for men, women and children. Best part of the store is the repair room and their mechanic. Very helpful, and thorough in advice/fixes.

Brought my bike there last weekend, had a bunch of work done and couldnt be happier. The mechanic that helped me was very helpful, and knowledgeable. I would recommend this shop.

Kind people. Ive been in the hood for 8 years. This place started out super seedy, but its much better now. Good stock. Decent knowledge.

No one answers the phone or returns voicemails. I shouldnt have to work so hard to give you my business, so Ive gone elsewhere.
