AJ Madison - You could be great, but you chose a delivery company in the greater LA area that absolutely SUCKS. I dont care how much money I saved on my refrigerator, washer and dryer - if theyre sitting in some trucking companys warehouse because they cant get their act together and deliver it to me, its like I dont even have the appliances. Because, well, I DONT HAVE THE APPLIANCES. We ordered said wares on June 15th. We understand that they come from New York and they need to come to LA on a truck, and that takes time. No problem. We budgeted for that. They made their cross country trek just fine, and ended up in downtown LA on June 21st. We know this because AJ Madison told us. So we waited for a call from the local delivery company. June 22nd... nothing... June 23rd... nothing... so we called them. Whomever answered the phone said that the appliances just came in today (??) and someone would contact us later in the day for delivery. Yep. Nope. So we called again on the 24th. The same person said that the appliances had just come in that day (I guess the appliances left and came back? Took a walk? Went on vacation?).. and... someone would call us later to arrange delivery. Nada. So, we called again the next day. Except this time the phone just went to voice mail for about an hour. Finally, we got through and the same person told us that they dont have enough "volume" to deliver to our area this week, but they "should" be able to do it next week. Wait...what? Volume? Next week? Should? WTF? We called AJ Madison and spoke with a supervisor. She was very nice. She placed us on hold to go "speak" with the delivery company. When she returned she said that someone from the delivery company would call by the end of the day and arrange for delivery. Nope. So we called AJ Madison back. They called the delivery company again and said the delivery company manager would call and arrange for delivery... and it was definitely going to happen... and we shouldnt worry. And they did.... Our "window" was 3pm - 7pm the following Tuesday. Thats a vast window without a pretty view.... but whatever, we could chill our lettuce and wash our socks soon enough. At 4pm on Tuesday I received a call from the delivery company. Allegedly the "truck broke down," and they werent coming. I assume this happened after the dog ate our appliances. They said they could deliver the next day between 3pm and 7pm. I said no way. You need to be there first thing in the morning. They said they couldnt and there was nothing else they could do. Without the boring, hours-long he-said, she-said.... they offered to deliver the appliances at 4am the next morning. Thats not a typo. 4 am. As in before the sun or the paperboy. We said thats fine...because I had a sneaky suspicion that if I didnt I would never, ever see them. So they came. At 4:45... and they were fine. And then 3 days later I received a call from the delivery company asking me to recite the model number of the refrigerator to them... seems they think they delivered the wrong one. Its the one I ordered so I didnt call them back. They can figure that craziness out on their own. So - if youre going to order from AJ Madison, and you live in SoCal you have two choices... be prepared for the most ridiculous delivery experience of your life... or go to Best Buy instead.

DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM AJ MADISON. If something goes wrong, the hassle is not worth it and you will regret it. If I can give a negative 5 rating for their customer service, I would. I honestly question the validity of the positive customer service reviews. They have NOT changed or improved recently – it took us over 2 months to replace the dented door on a brand new fridge and in the end we chose to cut our losses by keeping the door in exchange for a discount because we couldn’t take the frustration of dealing with them anymore. We recently renovated and ordered 3 AC units and 3 Bosch appliances from them. We were notified when the AC units were shipped that the model we ordered and paid for were not available, and we could either take the replacement model they offered or wait without a delivery date. To stay on schedule we took the replacement although now I am regretting it as I dont like the look of these units. However, the real customer service nightmare was with the new Bosch fridge, which was shipped with a damaged door, twice, and installed with the wrong side door swing. We were then told that a new door would be shipped to us, after which a technician would come install it, all within 10 days. That was back in August. It took about a month just to get the replacement door delivered, and only after many phone calls, emails and countless hours on the phone (on one of the calls I was told the door was sitting at their dock ready to ship, but it was still there 3 days later when I called for status, and a week later it still hadnt shipped!). Then we had to call Bosch ourselves just to confirm the technician appointment, which got rescheduled twice because the technician was running behind (this after we had waited all day for him) so that took another month and we’re now into mid-October. As we were rescheduling, we found out that the technician couldn’t change the door swing. That necessitated yet another call to AJ Madison’s customer service who then offered to send one of their own technicians. When we asked her why she didn’t send their technician when we first called instead of making us wait a month for the Bosch technician, she actually replied that she didn’t realize we had a new door?! Nevermind that she’s the one we had been talking to for the past 2 months! The clincher was that, after waiting 2 months, when the Bosch technician opened up the box with the replacement door, a piece of the door was broken! I called AJ and asked them to either overnight a door and schedule the technician to come back that week, or to just come pick up the fridge and give me a refund. I’d rather pay more money somewhere else than to have to deal with AJ Madison another minute! Of course they didn’t want to do either, so finally we settled on getting a discount on the fridge. It’s not the best solution, but I just couldn’t deal with another 2 months of the whole process again. Now we have the dent on the door to remind us of our mistake and to never do business with AJ Madison ever again!

STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE, specially if you are a person that needs an expected date for you items. They do whatever they want, whenever they want. I hate leaving bad reviews because I understand that sometimes things go sideways but this place is just OUT OF CONTROL. After 6 calls, over 3 hours wasted on customer support wait and holds, I still did not get my order as promised. Im going to take my time to write the story. I bought my appliances here over a month in advance because I wanted to have cabinets made specifically for my appliances. The buying experience was good, the show room was great. We selected our items and were offered delivery dates and options to basically any time as long as we gave them at least a week in advance. Here is were mayhem starts 2 weeks before our original scheduled delivery date, we call them to ask them if we can get our items delivered a week before the expected delivery date. We came to many surprises. The fridge and the microwave were no issues (apart from the fact that they shipped the fridge with the hinges on the wrong side and they guy fixed on the spot). but the range and the dishwasher are a different story. The range, we were told that was going to come with the Fridge and the Microwave. but obviously that was not the case. The delivery day we come to the surprise that the range never came. We call AJ Madison once again to figure out what happened and literally I spoke to 4 different representatives to figure out what happened, and no body gave me an answer. No body could tell me why or when I was going to get my range. After basically begging a rep to not put me on hold again and just find an answer for me. She called whoever she had to call and told me that range was going to be delivered the next day. Which it would not be an issue, but I now have to figure out somebody to be home because I cant be there to get it. The dishwasher, still up to this day, I have no idea whats going on. We were told it was back-ordered and that we might get it maybe end of August or September. To an order that was placed about a month ago. Even not changing delivery dates or anything. What was going to happen when the expected delivery date came? Additionally, one customer support rep, in one of the many calls said "you were not given information that you should have been given when you bought this". Which means the KNEW that this mess was going to happen, and instead of warning us before hand. Basically, if you need your items for a certain date. you cant count on any dates they give you. because they will do whatever they want around you. Redirect calls, ship stuff whenever they want, and even tell you that your items are actually going to get there 3 weeks after expected so 2 months after you placed an order. I got to give it to the customer support reps, that they are thrown impossible to fix situations. They were actually nice. but just nothing they could do to help.
