This is a review for the repair department only. I bought many appliances from the Rockville and Bethesda stores (over $20k), and had a decent experience, but the experience I had with the repair department will prevent me from ever doing business with Bray & Scarff again. Here is the Cliff Notes version of what I experienced: -I call for broken ice maker. -Repair man comes to "diagnose" the problem. Doesnt do anything but says he has to order a part. -Repair man breaks another part on my fridge while taking out the ice maker. -Month later after I call them multiple times asking where my part is, repair man comes and changes first part on the list of "How to fix an ice maker". -No ice. -I call to speak to manager many times. Same response every time. "Manager is busy. One will call you back by end of day." No call back of course. -After MANY months and MANY replaced parts (from above list), they agree to give me a refund within 7-10 business days since I still have no ice. -Month later check comes. -Total time from first call to to refund check: 5 months. In the meantime, I call another repair company. He diagnoses my problem over the phone, brings the correct part with him and repairs the ice maker in 30 minutes. I really have no idea how they stay in business. This was by far the worst customer service experience Ive ever had.

Bought a GE Refrigerator during the Presidents Tax Free Weekend. We needed a counter-depth and were dismayed by the loss of space in the newer side by side units similar to what we were replacing. Had a great experience with our salesman, Paul Barrett, who explained the pros and cons of the newer café style units. No pressure - no upselling. We finally decided on the GE Café French Door with hot water - Couldnt be happier. And the installation team (Darryl and Jeff) were the most professional that Ive ever had in over 40 years of appliance delivery and installation. They spent all the time necessary to make sure the doors were absolutely even, that we understood how everything worked, and that every little bit of protective coating (and there was a lot!) was removed. A fabulous job. We only buy appliances from Bray and Scarff, and these 3 guys just proved again why. This is the reason why everyone should buy local.

Spent over $30,000 on appliances from this store outfitting my brand new home in Bethesda. I could not be less pleased with my experience. I have had 3 service calls so far all of which resulted in the tech stating there was no problem. I have 2 identical dishwashers in my kitchen that do not dry the dishes. I have been told they are energy efficient and this is the best they can do. The manufactures rep came and and told me we should have purchased machines with a fan built in. I have an ice maker that makes enough noise to wake the neighbors about 50 times per day. We have had one snooty response after the next from service managers one even making my wife cry. I agreed to overpay at Bray and Scarf because I assumed the most expensive shop would have the best service....wow, have I been wrong. Two stars instead of 1 because the Subzero fridge and Monogram oven are great.

Brian Loggins, at the Rockville location, ROCKS!!! He did a FABULOUS job of helping us with an upright freezer -- from looking up rebates, to helping us with measurements, delivery, and getting the best deal... without receiving any of the credit for the sale. Previously, we had spoken on the phone with another sales associate from a different location. He called the other store, made sure that the other associate got the credit for the sale, and during every step of the process made us feel valued and important to him personally. If this is the caliber of employees that Bray and Scarff have working for them, were IN for the rest of our applicance needs! THANK YOU Brian! Well be coming back because of YOU! Erin and Tony

Great experience from start to beginning, thanks to Teresa. Shes very knowledgeable and low-key; no pressure from her to buy anything. She gave us great prices on four appliances, which I compared to two other stores. She sprang into action when it was discovered on delivery day that the refrigerator would not fit under a cabinet. (not the stores fault, by the way). She recommended a great carpenter who shaved down the cabinet a few days later, and the refrigerator was re-delivered and installed without a hitch. The delivery men were polite and highly competent, and installations on the four appliances went quickly and without a hitch. Top-notch customer service from this store, and I would definitely return.

We purchased a new washer from Bray and Scarff in Rockville. The salesman (Andrew) did a wonderful job of listening to us, explaining the options available, and answering questions that we had. Since we were having no problems with our gas dryer, he recommended that we wait until replacing it. Delivery was scheduled for 4 days later. Anthony and Andre called as promised to let us know they were on their way. They carted the old machine out, installed the new one and did so pleasantly and professionally. Bray and Scarff will continue to get our business!

We wanted a refrigerator for our uninsulated garage and the salesman at Bray and Scarff told us that a regular refrigerator should not be used that way. I then did some Internet searching and sure enough he was right. There was only one unit that was designed for that environment and they had it in stock, the Maytag Chillerator (?). It appears that it is being discontinued so we got a good price on it. Delivery was done on the promised day but it was early. We were given a window of 5-8 and it was delivered about 2, fortunately I was home.

We shopped all the usual places for our dishwasher but once we stepped into Bray and Scarff and spoke with Paul, we knew where we would purchase our appliance. Not only was he patient in explaining all the features we should consider when purchasing a dishwasher, but he did not put any pressure on us to buy from him. The store was all about appliances, the warranty put my mind at ease if there were any repair issues, and financing was easy. I will definitely becoming back when it is time to replace my refrigerator and stove.

We had a fantastic experience at this location. We worked with Paul Barrett (appliances) and Dan Hoilman (granite countertops), and they could not have been more professional, knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. They were very patient and seemed to really care that we were happy with our purchases. They also helped us get the best deal possible. Finally, everyone from the schedulers to the installers was awesome. Overall, this was a great experience. I will definitely go back to Bray and Scarff for future appliance needs.

This is a review of the repair division. The refrigerator I bought from Bray and Scarff has now been broken for one month. I have had a repairman come 2 times. Once to figure out the problem and once to put in the part and realize they were wrong in their diagnosis. The rest of the time has been waiting on scheduling and estimates. One month later my refrigerator is still broken and I am out hundreds of dollars. They are still supposed to be calling me back with an estimate. Very frustrating.
