Mattress Con - Simmons Cypress ... Simmons Grady firm. I bought a Simmons (Sears) Cypress about a year ago, now replaced by Simmons Grady. After delivery, the mattress was really firm. Always wonder why it was much firmer than the store. Just recently found out why. They switched the mattress at POS. Floor model is Cypress but what you buy is Cypress II. I didnt know until a week ago. Confronted the store sales person/manager. They confirmed that on the floor was Cypress. They said only difference between it and the II was covering pattern. I looked online for a Cypress. Found and bought one at outlet store. Its a different mattress ... no as firm. Took it home, wife says yes feels totally different. Sears sales person/manager says sorry call 800 number; 800 number says too late. "Bait and switch?" ... nope. Went to file with Alexandria police department. They said this is a civil issue. They cant do anything. Very well crafted scheme by Sears to give you a lesser mattress than what is being shown. Plausible deniability - there are two mattress the one in the store and the one you buy. The one you buy is on sale which is the one they ring up. The other one ... floor sample is not on sale. They say its the same mattress except the covering. Find feedback on Simmons Sears Cypress ... the feedback is always firmer than the store. They may being doing this also on their current and other models, the Grady or any Simmons with their name on it. You will get at the POS the Grady II. Their con is so well crafted that its an a legal issue but an ethical one. If you were part of the Simmons Cypress II con, look at Sears outlet. There may be some non-Cypress II. Go and check it out and feel the difference. Its a different mattress. Good luck, just want to put the information out there.

Overall, its an ok place to go. Decent prices on almost anything but the customer service is horrible. Family got our pictures done and the photo people were great. Very considerate and down to earth. Good prices on the photos too. This is the only good part about the entire store. My wife was looking for baby boots for the snow season. She was in the isle as I was standing at the end(had the stroller). She was looking at the shoes while a stock person(or so it seamed) was right next to her. She said excuse me, and he didnt acknowledge her. So she proceeded to look at the boots and shoes anyway. When she went to put a pair back on the shelf, the employee basically took it out of her hands and reoppened the shoe box to reseat the shoes and put it back on the shelf. Also, the electronic section does not have wired or wireless switches or routers. The whole store looks cluttered, unorganized and dirty. The prices are the only positive thing about the store. Even the prices are sometimes higher than walmart or target. If you can deal with the poor condition of the store and the jerks who work there then Id reccommend it.

This store is the worst!! The cashiers are repulsively slow and everyone who works there, including management, is rude and inefficient. Every time Ive tried to check out or exchange an item, its taken more than 30 minutes. This is after I stood in line for 15 mins awaiting my turn with ONE PERSON in front of me! Im not sure if its the result of a language barrier or just lax hiring standards but if every Sears store is like this one, I foresee the company going out of business. Come to think of it, every time Ive had to call their customer service 800-number (to let them know they left items out of my online orders) the customer reps Ive spoken with were also slow and failed to help me. Each time it took between two and eight calls (yes eight!) to correct their mistake. So now Im giving up -- I wanted to like this company because of their history and their sales but Ive given them multiple chances to make me a loyal customer and they blew every one of them. Im staying far away from this brand from now on.

Today I attempted to call the Landmark Sears Store. Never mind that they do not have a live person answering the phone...nevermind that the department you KNOW they have in their store is not in the list of mentioned departments in the recorded directory....so I tried a department, figuring that someone would transfer me to the correct place. I got a person who answered a houseware, I think it was. That person barely spoke English and the last time I checked, I thought I was in the USA. When I thought I might have made a connection and she understood me, she transferred me to another department. Same thing...I went through five such transfers, conversations similar to the first before being hung up on. I just do not get it. Why do these stores think they do not have to provide a basic customer service level? I have not been to Sears in probably 5 years. I remember why now. Maybe great products but the customer service is HORRIBLE.

Worst customer service experience at the Parts and service center. Unfriendly, unprofessional and ignorant associates. Bought a Kenmore Intuition Vacuum cleaner. It broke down with in 9 months. Took it for service to the Alexandria Parts and service center. They looked up my account and asked me to go the sales to get it exchanged. At the store, they said it cannot be exchanged. So I called the Kenmore service line and told them that I was at the Sears alexandria and they had suggested I take the equipment to Sears Falls Church. When my wife took the vacuum cleaner to the Falls Church, the associate there was also rude and ignorant. He suggested to take the equipment back to the alexanria center again where t had tell them that it has to be shipped. The Associate here is also rude, unprofessional and lethargic. All together it was a worst experience. I DO NOT want to even give a single star. But I had to post this message.

Horrible. I waited two weeks to have my refrigerator repaired only to find out that it was not repairable. The first Sears service repair person failed to identify the cause according to the second Sear service repair technician. Fortunately, the refrigerator was covered under warranty so I order a new refrigerator through Sears. They botched my delivery date twice (including scheduling it a year after my order??) and I waited yet another week for it to be delivered finally. This was a final straw for me. Sears offers nothing but deplorable service and rampant mismanagement. I will not be buying from Sears or using their services any more. I completely understand why they are doing poorly. They are becoming as run down and as ghetto as KMART.

We bought 3D TV with Sears during New Year.We had a couple of questions about 3D glasses and sticky tape on tje flame. The associate guy at electronics section said we could use goof off to get rid of the sticiky tape on the frame and we can use 3D glaases that wr already had from 3D TV that we bought before. The problems are that TB frame was messed up after we used goof aff according to the associate guy told us. Moreover, we lcannot use our 3D glasses from 3D TV although they are the same brand. Then, we came to the store, talked to the assissant manager. The assisstant guy that sold TV for us completely told the wrong information to his manager guy own . information to his manager. That is unacceptable.
