Worst customer support and installation crew ever. No return policy. We purchased a set of washer/dryer AND expert installation from ApplianceLand. At the moment of purchase, I notified the seller that I had just bought the condo where the units were to be installed, and was not familiar with the building or with any limitations that might apply. I was then assured that the technicians would make sure everything was done to my satisfaction and that they would bring all required equipment/parts to complete the installation. The ApplianceLand technicians came to my unit, inspected and measured the space where the washers/dryers were to be installed. Without notifying me that there could be any issues, they went ahead with the installation. Unfortunately, the washer/dryer didn’t fit the place where they were supposed to be, where there were also no connections for outside venting. In trying to fit the machines into a space that was too tight for them, the technicians broke the door, scratched the newly painted ceiling and jammed the machines into the room in such a way that they cannot be pulled out without removing the door (which, by the way, cannot be closed because the machines are sticking out). In addition, because there were no vents, they did not finish the installation (i.e. I cannot use the dryer), and told me I would have to hire someone else to remove/replace the door, pull the machines out and install a vent box. A vent box means that the steam will be blown into my unit… Naturally, I do not consider this a viable option. Needless to say, I was not aware of these problems beforehand, and did not receive any of the expert advice and support I had paid for. Unfortunately, after everything was done, I did sign a form that said the machines had been delivered. In having done so, the company now claims I forfeited my rights, and that they are not responsible for any of these problems, and will not take the machines back, unless I pay a 50% restocking fee.

Terrible experience - would not recommend. My wife was told by a friend that they loved their KitchenAid refrigerator that they had bought at Appliance Land. Wife wanted a newer french door model. We read some reviews about the model she picked out in the store with some complaints about the model being objectionably noisy; we asked the salesman about that and he reassured us that there was no problem. Once we got the refrigerator it seemed noisy - we called and were told each refrigerator was different and it was a matter of getting used to. A month went by and we couldnt stand the noise. We called and were told to have a service call with Kitchenaide. They came out and said everything was working but that they couldnt do anything about the noise. Finally we asked for a new refrigerator. We were told by ApplianceLand that they didnt take refrigerators back once they had had food in them!!! They said they would talk to KitchenAid about it - KitchenAid said as long as it was working they would not honor an exchange. Sometimes the noise sounds like I am at the airport with a plane getting ready for takeoff. Yes it works but our older model of twenty five years that we upgraded from was totally quiet as are the models our friends have. This has really soured us on ApplainceLand and KitchenAid. I cant think of a more customer unfriendly operation. Would never recommend ApplianceLand nor a KitchenAid refrigerator

My wife purchased a washer from the Appliance Land in Rockville, when the delivery came, they did not wear footies, and they require us to protect the floor. They told me that they had to use the hand truck ( a dolly ) to roll the washer upstairs. We told them it was their responsibility to protect the floors. They disagreed. Ok, we offered them the blankets to protect the floors, then they did not want to do the job anymore! They did not show any positive attitude trying to get the job done. They called the owner of Appliance Land, and said the owner agreed with them not to do the job, until a better and dryer day. My wife and I both work and we took that day off just for getting the delivery, and this was their attitude! Very disappointed. We purchased appliance from them before, and we will NEVER purchase anything from this store ever again! On the contrary, we ordered the same appliance from Home Depot. The delivery was very pleasant. With 15 minutes, the job was done. They hooked up and tested the machine for us. We were very happy. It turned out going with Home Depot, not only we received a better delivery service, we saved almost $200 for the same model!

At their salesmans suggestion, I replaced a 3 year old Whirlpool Cabrio washer whose transmission had gone bad, with a new model Cabrio. The salesman had assured me that Whirlpool had corrected the design flaws that caused the first one to need significant repair.. 2 years later I am looking at a second $600 repair bill for another bad Whirlpool transmission. I called Applianceland and was told that they will offer me no relief, after having spent thousands of dollars on appliances with them, but that I had to deal with Whirlpool. I will not shop with them again.

EXCELLENT! called late afternoon to order a new washer and dryer. An urgent need since I have teens with tons of dirty clothing. Could not have a better experience! I bought speedqueen washer and dryer. The machines fit perfectly into my limited space (as the salesperson promised), the delivery was efficient and quick, the delivery people were super nice and professional. Thank you Applianceland!

Staff knew their stuff. The service was great however our order got messed up (do to an error on my part) and they were a little less than timely to get the problem remedied.

This place is fine but their service affiliate (Metro Factory Appliance) is TERRIBLE so I wouldnt buy from them again.
