My husband and I recently bought a home and needed a fridge and were told about sears outlet from our realtor. Unfortunately we had an Absolutely horrible experience. I am not sure why there are only 2 ?! employees in a store the size of a warehouse!!! You need more employees. The process to checkout was 1.5hr no exaggeration here :/ the cashier (Jackie I believe) was very nice but she was by herself and just it was not a simple checkout she needed help too long of a process for only 1 employee working. I had. Adelivery scheduled for 3/4/16 btwn 930-1130am. Dleivery showed up at 945am fine. They qould not bring my fridge up stairs or into my garage bc the man thoight he was going to fall bc he had no grip on ground?? WHAT?! Are you not a delovery man...may I add he went on to complain that thr fridge was 300lbs & that AS A WOMEN I could not understand what 300lbs felt like....maybe you should find a new career bc what delivery man complains about weight of appliance? How dare you?! Anyway long story short they took pictures of my driveway sat in their truck for 10m and pulled away. I was told by the weak delivery guy to call Sears to reschedule. I was assured by Sears manager I would be the 1st delivery at 9am on 3/5/16...the delivery company called to confirm a 3-5pm on 3/5/16 delivery NOT 9am...I then went back & forth btwn sears store and delivery company that said the Sears manager had not informed them of the delivery request for 9am. My sons 2nd birthday was on 3/5/16 I tried to get them to come earlier and rhey said the routing was done and could not do anything about it. My husband left work drove to our new home 1hr from our sons birthday party to sit and wait for delivery. I got a call at 430pm and was told they would get there at 445pm. They arrived at 5:10pm and told me the fridge would not fit because it was 36 3/4 width but the sears manager had assured me ALL OF THE FRIDGES IN STORE WERE 36 standard and my husband now wasted 2.5hrs of his afternoon and missed most if our sons birthday and we have NO fridge for when we move into our new home with our 3 kids tomorrow. I OFFICIALLY HATE SEARS!!!!!!!

THE WORST EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD!!! Its killing me to even give them any star because they dont even deserve half a star. The Sales Clerk was very nice. He asked me my phone number twice and I verified it with him. However, I must have already been in the computer from 10 years ago because they kept a phone number I used when I was a teenager. Since I noticed my Phone number was different on the receipt I called to have them change it. What a waist of my time because no one did. When I called to find out when my delivery time was the next day they told me they would call me by 8:15pm. I gave them my correct phone number again and guess what? They didnt listen or call. I had my husband called at 8:15pm to find out our delivery time and to make sure they had the correct number. They told him they would call us in the next 40 minutes. After 40 minutes with no phone call I called Sears Customer Service to file a complaint. The women was very helpful and offered to call them again for me. She was able to get me the delivery time window 2-4pm. Finally I had the time window by 10:30PM the night before the delivery. I waited and waited until 4pm for my delivery before I called to find out why they never delivered my Fridge. The Driver was delayed and they still didnt have my correct phone number on file. Crazy especially since I was told they would correct my number not once, not twice but three times. They were still across the Zappan Zee Bridge (at least 30 min away) and they had another stop before me. So my delivery didnt arrive until 6:30pm 2 & 1/2 hours late. The fridge also came with more scratches then when it was purchased in the store. Do yourself a favor and dont go here!

I hate Sears. Thank you google for summing it up. They treat long time customers like crap, well I can sleep at night knowing that their days are numbered. All my future appliances will be purchased at Best Buy or HH Greg. Never give Sears gift cards- never order anything from the Sears website- it will never come. They dont send you a confirmation number either, so you have nothing and they claim they dont know what youre talking about. Great, you guys take my money- Sears is some kind of charity donation. Your items never arrive. You give them money and they pay their uncapable employess to do what- not open a cash register, stock shelves, help customers... exactly, its just charity. Except you dont get a good feeling about it. From now on Ill stick to donating to Habitat or the Red Cross.

Anybody over 40 yo, remember when salespeople actually believed they were an extension of the company they worked for and if it was a donut shop or a high end store people did their job. Well, having said that see a gentleman named cedric, he is a salesperson at the bergenfield sears outlet. Mr. Cedric was very knowledgeable no arrogance no BS ,Very helpfull. I just hope management appreciates and perhaps can add him to management. Not only did i purchase a refrigerator but i got a great deal on a stove as well.

A cavernous store with dozens and dozens of damaged items supplemented by completely boxed new items, such as the refrigerators we wanted to see. After 15-20 minutes of being unable to find help, we decided to leave. But not before meeting other customers who just had a fridge delivered and were there to have it removed as it arrived damaged. They couldnt get any help either. The store is surprisingly dirty given how recently it was converted into an outlet store. Just not worth the time.

They list a fax number as their main phone number. Stock is erratic at best. Checkout is confused and often untrained. Staff runs the range of very helpful to running away from customers and hiding. Pricings all over the map.
