Before getting into this Repair center, I gone through the previous reviews about Solomons Appliance. Thanks for the previous reviewers who provided both positive and negative(I dont know why there are negative reviews) reviews. I had a problem in Waring Pro Double Burner. So, I carried it all the way from my home(Jersey City, New Jersey) to Solomons Repair center(Brooklyn, New York) on 01st March 2014. The person who was there in the store greeted me, and asked me all the details of the issues with the Burner. After that, he filled details in the receipt and didnt even asked any deposit amount for that. He told me that he will call back once repaired. I got a call on 12th March 2014 saying that the burner is ready for pickup. So, I visited today(ie., 15th March 2014) to the repair center. He told me that the burner which I gave for repair is having some parts damaged. So, they ordered new parts for it. Also, he told that it will take long time for him to get those new parts. So, he ordered a brand new Waring Pro Double burner for me. I was shocked and asked him to provide me the old one itself having a thought that I need to bear full expenses for the new one. He surprised me saying that I no need to pay any amount for the new one and returned back home with a brand new burner with no charges. One of the best Service center that I ever seen. I Highly Recommend "Solomons Appliance Repair Center" as it is highly customer focussed service.

Completely blown away! The fellow I spoke with repaired my KitchenAid toaster FOR FREE, as a goodwill gesture! OK, an expert like this could just take it and twiddle for a few seconds, and all was well. Id taken it to the other "official" KitchenAid repair place on Cross Bay Blvd, Queens, and they showed complete disinterest and said Id have to send it back to the factory, etc., etc. The fellow at Solomon immediately saw what adjustment needed to be done and that was that. Right before my very eyes. Now I dont advocate that everyone should go there and get free service, because I hope to support a business like this, which one could easily imagine having disappeared in some golden era . . . and golden they are! (Im not generally anybodys advertising, but darn they were great . . . Check them out -- you wont be sorry !!! ) The gentleman there was a strong proponent for knowing how to fix things, not just fill the dump with it and buy a new one . . . my kind of guy!

After dropping off my moms broken Bissell steam carpet cleaner at Solomons I soon learned that the issue was profoundly more complicated than we had realized. Over the next few months they replaced a number of key parts, as per Bissells instructions, that were suspected of causing the machine to sputter rather than evenly distribute the water. As knowledgeable as they were in handling these machines, there was obviously some hidden internal defect that resisted all efforts to get our appliance to properly function.Would you believe that Solomons actually provided us, at their own expense, with a brand new machine as a way of compensating for our time and frustration? Solomons obviously believes in top quality customer service and I would highly recommend them for your repair service needs.

Where do I even start. From the very beginning Bruce was sarcastic and condescending towards me, regarding a kitchen aid mixer I had to bring for repair. Their customer service is horrendous. My sister shared with Bruce what she thought the issue and possible fix would be, thats when he started ranting how long hes been in business and never heard of what she was referring too. I admit I was very heated at this point. I say his ready for retirement. Also, Google lists them opening at 9:30, and supposedly Bruce showed up at 9:48 to open the store. Meanwhile my sister is waiting from 9:30 to 10am for the store to open.

I tore up my Kitchen Aid mixer, totaled it! Took it to Solomons Appliance. It would have cost as much as a new machine to get it fixed. I got a great deal on my replacement, including a heavy duty whip (I make Body Butters and had bent my whip too. The best place in the NYC area to bring appliances to be repaired. Im from PA and my sister who lives in the Bronx found Solomons. Id come from PA again to have any applance fixed. Friendly staff. And, yeah, there THAT GOOD!

really shady. told my husband it would take a week for something to be repaired; the receipt said three. When this was pointed this out, the salesguy told my husband he never said one week, basically calling my husband a liar. After all that we STILL couldnt get any confirmation. Never again. Stay away from this place! P.S. - it took 3 weeks for them to repair it.

We have been dealing with Solomons for a couple of decades now and cant say enough about how hard they work to find items that enable us to fix products we dont want to throw away. They also do expert repairs on things we cant fix ourselves. It may be a small store, but they do a mighty good job!

Very honest and helpful. Bruce made it clear that it was not really worth fixing my kitchen aid mixer but he explained how it had broken which was useful. As the cost would have been c. $90 to fix it, it was not really worth fixing.
