After 12+ years and well over $10,000 per year and most recently a major addition in which Home Depot got even more, I will no longer do business with home depot. Heres why. I returned a rental item at 9:45 one evening during the week, 15 minutes before the department closed. The counter person said that they could not process my payment of $25 that was due since they shut down their cash register early. He said not to worry that he knew me, i was a good customer and that I could come in and pay the next time I was in. I told him that i was going to be traveling for the next several days and that i could not come in and make payment till the following weekend 10 days later. He said not to worry and that it was only $25 and as a good, regular customer he was not worried. About 6 days later I get a strange call from the accounst receivable department asking when I was going to make payment for the $25. I say strange since I always paid for my rentals the day I returned them and have never owed Home Depot money. I told them what happened and they too said ok not a problem and I again told them when i would be back in the area and make payment. 2 days later i get another call this one more terse asking for payment again. I again explained what happened and they said ok thats fine. I came in as promised from day one, made payment for the $25, checked to make sure everything was ok and left after purchasing another few hundred dollars. About 2 weeks later my wife then went to make another rental and the person said that we needed to provide a deposit, something that we have not been asked for in over 2+ years. The rental department manager Dave said that our account looked like it was purged and reset. Then we spoke to Store manager Ralph Galante who then said that he could do nothing. The tool rental manager confirmed as did the store manager that we were not required for a deposit on the previous rentals just a few weeks back yet said there was nothing he could do. I explained the situation and basically he said no deposit no rental. To say that i was angry at this point is an understatement. After 12 years and 10s of thousands of dollars spent with Home Depot they basically said too bad even though it was one of their employees that made the mistake that started all of this they did not take responsibility, did not try to rectify the situation they offered nothing. On the other hand, Lowes recently replaced a dishwasher we purchased from them that was almost 2 years old after we had some difficulty getting it serviced. Without an extended warranty or any warranty left on the unit, Lowes said bring it back and gave us a much better unit to make up for the 4 months that it took to get this resolved. To say that we were impressed is an understatement, they exceeded our expectations. Before this incident with Home Depot, we were happy to business with both. After this incident there is no decision to make Lowes cares about their customers, Home Depot only cares if you buy things from them.

This is the first time I have been treated like this at any Home Depot. The Manager Ralph at Flemington Home Depot, was the rudest person with the title manager I have ever met. I returned the rental truck which I had rented for a full day I returned at 10pm at night. Only kept for 8 hours out of the 24 i was entitled to. Unfortunately this Home Depot closes its doors at 9PM. I am from Philadelphia, and Ive never seen a Home depot close so ealry. Nevertheless I parked the truck in their lot, where the other rental trucks were. There was no drop box for the keys (odd), so I took them with me, thinking I would find a way back the next day to return them. The next day due to some unforeseen problems I returned the keys 3 hours past my 24 hr limit. I called HD to inform them of my delay but was put on hold for 20 minutes after being transferred to the rental department. Upon return , after explaining the situation, the person in the counter said hed love to help but only a manager can decide about removing the hours.I asked Ralph to help me after explaining all the aforementioned circumstances (early close hours, no drop box, etc). Ralph rejected my request to remove the three additional hours stating that I had impeded him to rent that truck for those three hours. (none of my business, but there were two other trucks there idle). Its not so much that I lost 45 dollars, but he was very very rude. Even other service desk employees were looking a bit shocked. It is understandable since most HD employees are very courteous. According to my credit card statements in 2012, I spent $44259.37 at Home Depot. I own a construction company and I know that, If I treated my clients this way, id be out of business soon. I still love home depot, and this review is not to deter anyone from going to any HD. I dont have time to write reviews but, I had to take the time since Ralph at Flemington HD has no business being a manger and he will only hurt that particular location.

After a very long day of moving and closing on our new home, the people in the Flemington Home Depot were exactly what my wife and I needed. They were so accommodating and helpful. I will be returning to this store for any and all home needs in the future. And to Bob back in appliances, you are a truly helpful and kind individual! Thank you for all your help!

I recently had carpeting installed and the installer did not provide the service that Home Depot promised me. Home Depot is now not standing behind their promise and Im getting the run around from them. Better off going with a small carpeting store that has control over their installers.

I am a "dumb" homeowner, but, unlike my local hardware store, I never get any "attitude" at flemington Home Depot. So many of the workers have been greatly helpful to me over the years, going out of their way to recommend alternatives. Theres a lot of nice people working there.

Cashier Deanna was very helpful in the exchange process of my damage water heater by making things fast, simple and convenient for me. She also went out of her way to educating her fellow co-workers on the return process for Rheem water heaters. Thanks Deanna.

Beyond belief as usual. I love this particular Home Depot. Thank God for Joanne and Eric, or theyd have to close the doors. Sometimes I even hide out at closing and sleep there. Cozy lawn furniture!!!

Unlike every other Home Depot Ive ever been to, the employees in this store are pleasant, knowledgeable and proactively eager to help. I was stunned. Something must be deeply wrong with the universe?

They have most of what a full line store would have, but not everything. Beware of the woman stocking the light bulbs, she follows you around and hovers...annoying!

Definitely like Home Depot better than Lowes. Better layout of aisles and I feel a better selection. They were here first in Flemington.
