About a month ago I ran into problems with my cell phone and went to the Shipleys Grant Verizon store run by TCC Wireless. I was offered a great deal on a "bundle." Pay $160 now and I get a Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge and 3 accessories, and I will get a $200 Visa gift card. I can turn my old phone in for $60. I told them I didnt need 3 accessories, but they pushed this "great deal" until I picked up a third accessory that I neither wanted nor needed. It took 90 minutes to transfer all of my data/apps to the new phone, at which point I paid $160. I asked what happened to the $60 for my old phone. They said they already applied it, which is what brought the "bundle" down to $160. Red flag number one. They neither stated nor implied that the "great deal" was only $160 because of my returned phone. They mentioned the $60 return separately as though that was not part of the "bundle." I should have stopped there and returned the phone, but after investing 90 minutes on the data transfer, I left with my tail between my legs. When I returned home that night I reviewed the receipt. I was charged for 3 accessories and something called Platinum Membership. The total was about $220. When they deducted the $60 the bill came to $160. There was no charge listed next to the phone. I was really wary at that point, so I went to the TCC Wireless website. I found the Samsung had a deal on the S7 Edge where you buy it and get points on Samsung Pay which can be used for a $200 Visa gift card (40,000 points). It had nothing to do with this store or with the "bundle" they sold me. I went back to complain and the same two gentlemen were working. I asked what the Platinum Membership was. It is a rewards program for TCC Wireless. They did not mention it to me in any way, and did not tell me I was paying for it. They said that was the only way to get the "bundle." I told them that the phone and gift card were a separate promotion that had nothing to do with the "bundle," and asked how much I would have paid for the accessories without the "bundle." I was told, "a lot more." I said I had told them that I didnt even want the third accessory, but they sold it to me anyway convincing me that it was part of a "great deal." I then told them I wanted to be credited for the third accessory (which I returned) and the Platinum Membership. Doing so did not change the price of the other accessories. They had very nearly successfully scammed me. I called TCC Wireless customer service. They said the one in Shipleys Grant is a franchise with an owner/operator (not a company store), but that they would contact the owner and have him reach out to me. When I did not get a response after two weeks, I called again. I have heard nothing after one month. DO NOT TRUST THIS STORE. I received much better service at the Verizon Store on Snowden River PKWY. near BJs Wholesale Club.

I had an issue at the Columbia, MD store their wiliness not to want to help my sister and myself. I stopped by another Verizon store where I met Chelsea. I told her what my issue was and she took care of it no questions asked. Her knowledge of how the phones work and what would best benefit my hearing impaired sister and myself was outstanding. Chelsea was patient and very kind.

I could tell that they were really knowledgeable with the whole process. It was great customer service! Id reccomend that people visit the the Verizon store in Ellicott city.
