I have used cricket daily paygo for a few years with no problems (first 1 dollar a day, then 1.50 a day). Now all of a sudden they have decided that all "nonlocal" calls are billed as long distance, which is considerably more. They told me that they consider calls from area code 443 to the overlapping area code 410 as long distance, and in many cases they also will charge calls from area code 443 to the same area code 443 as long distance as well.

Cricket Wireless has to be the best deal going for phone service. We put 5 people together and pay $20/month for 2.5 GB of service. Thats a phenomenally good deal and youre on the AT&T network. This store is pretty lackluster, but they got the job done for getting a new phone. Staff was very helpful.
