November 21, 2015 I called and asked Krist – who owns JWO Jewelers - if he would be interested in trading some sterling silver and 18K gold and 24K gold pieces for two silver chains; Krist said: “yes bring them in and lets take a look at them.” Consequently I went to Krists JWO Jewelry Store on Mansell Road and showed Krist what I had. Krist agreed to trade the silver and gold, I had brought in, for two silver chains; he quoted $350.00 for the value for my silver and gold; but he didnt quote any value for his silver chains which I chose from his catalog. After considering my budget I decided to keep some of my silver & gold. He was nice enough to offer to size a small gold wedding band, polish two silver rings, and four charms, which I had brought in to Krists store too; he said it would have been $35.00 but Krist would do it on the house. I told Krist that I am a picture framer and that I would like to make him a beautiful frame if Krist provided the picture; he agreed to bring a picture in, on December 8, 2015, as this would be the day I would pickup everything. I also told him that I would chose the Moulding, Glass, Matting, Foam Board, and Fitting, which would be valued greater than what he was willing to discount; Krist agreed. Before I left I asked Krist if he would size two Sterling Silver Rings that had Hebrew writing on them; Krist measured around two of my fingers and said that he would size them too. Krist knew that I had told him that I had a budget and that I couldnt spend too much. It was my fault for not asking him how much he was going to charge; he didnt even write a quote for any of the transactions that were going to take place on December 8th. I trusted that it would possibly cost $10.00 to size the two Hebrew rings (Sabri Jewelers in Alpharetta had charged me $5.00 (per ring) to size my wedding bands); so we said goodby and I left. On December 9th I went to the JWO Jewelry store; Krist was not in the store; Krists Sister tried to help me but she was not fully prepared to explain a $110.00 Balance scribbled on a torn invoice; Krists Sister called Krist and asked about the balance. Krists sister was nervous when she told me that it was for sizing my two Hebrew Rings. I called Krist, when I got home, and said that there has been a misunderstanding on my part and that I could not afford to pay $110.00 for sizing the two Hebrew bands or rings. Krist started to insult me with rude words! Krist shouted at the top of his voice, on the phone, and said that If I dont come and pay and pickup my Hebrew bands and the 4 charms Krist would melt everything, including the trade items, and sell them to pay for Krists labor. I told Krist that I would rather Krist keep Krists silver chains and I would rather keep my trade items and that I would give Krist $110.00 for the labor to size the two Silver Hebrew bands. Krist didnt agree and explained that Krist wanted cash only (no credit cards) because Krist had some bills to pay. The next day on December 10th at approximately 5:15pm I drove to Roswell and called for police escort to Krists shop because he was insanely angry and verbally abusive toward me. The police arrived and met me in front of the “Long Horn Stake House” which is next to Krists shop. The police and I entered and I explained all that what had occurred. When krist had no other choice but to return my property and accept the $110.00 (for Krists labor charges) Krist told the police (what I believe to be a fib) that he had gotten rid of the trade items (meaning that he had sold my trade items before the transactions were to be completed on December 9th or 10th ). When I saw that Krist brought out Krists torn invoice and showed the scribbled notes, and stated to the police, that Krist had valued my trade items to be at about $138.00 and that would cover the cost of the two $114.00 silver chains (that this would be a wash) I realized that I was being cheated out of $24.00 on top of the overpriced sizing of my Hebrew bands, which would have cost me only $10.00 at Sabri Jewelry store.

I have found my jeweler for life professional, personal, prefect. This might be a long post but what I have received from JWO is way more than a ring and can’t be summed up in 3 sentences. I had my fiancé’s engagement ring custom designed and crafted with JWO. What I expected was a ring what I got was nothing like I had seen before. When my fiancé shows it off everyone is impressed with the design, uniqueness and craftsmanship that has gone into every curve and stone of the ring. Krist (the jeweler) was involved through the entire process of the ring. He was able to design it from our thoughts and photos from every ring we had looked at. He then created a plastic mold of the ring to make sure it was exactly what we wanted in size, feel, shape, and dimension. Every time I would go back to see him I would be excited to see just what ideas and thoughts he had come up with. Seeing the ring from all stages was not only informative, but made a big decision of picking a ring for life that much more reassuring and I knew it was the perfect choice. We have just finished custom designing our wedding bands with JWO and would never have gone anywhere else. I am looking forward to my next jewelry purchase just to see him and go through this entire process again. Who would have thought that designing and purchasing jewelry would be so much fun? – And now I can truly say that I have a friend in the diamond business… cheers mate.

Amazing work! A couple years ago Krist helped me through the complicated process of finding a diamond and designing an engagement ring for my wife. I have know idea what classification a good diamond is, and Krist was very trustworthy and honest about what diamond was worth the money. I felt like he genuinely cared about finding the right diamond for me. At the moment he didnt have the right diamond, we spent a little time searching for the perfect stone, and not just settling on something he had in the store. I told him I wanted to make a custom ring for my fiance, I had a few ideas but wasnt totally sure of the final design. He had an incredible suggestion to just pick out a great single diamond and propose to her with that. He put the diamond in a simple single band, that she would wear until the time came to make the final ring. What a great idea! After the engagement we began to design the ring together so she could really get what she wanted and be apart of the fun process. The ring came out beautiful and it was a great story for us to have the rest of our lives. His ability to make our one of a kind ring, is something we will always be thankful for!

I just found this great, little neighborhood jewelry story. After being disappointed with the high prices at another fancy, shmancy big name jewelry store in Roswell, I searched online & found JWO Jewelers. It is a friendly, family-owned business that makes you feel welcome the moment you walk in. The owner, Krist, has been in the jewelry business since he was a kid and designs much of the jewelry in the store. I came in for a jewelry repair and they did a great job at a very reasonable price. Plus, they will buy your old gold jewelry at fair market prices. Krist even created a new pair of diamond earrings out of an old ring. They turned out just beautiful! You will be very pleased with the quality and friendly service at JWO Jewelers.
