I went to this neighborhood jeweler to have a simple watch battery replaced. When I asked if they perform that service, Mr. Getz told me he was an expert at that. It was a common brand dept. store watch but was still a few hundred dollars. Mr Getz jabbed the watch several times with a screw driver and then thought it would be easy to pull one of the pins from the band (to open the band) to give him more room to work. He told me he did not have a battery in stock for that watch and that he had a problem. He broke the pin on the band when pulling it out. I have to say, this looks like a careless mistake because instead of pulling the pin straight out, he kept bending it back and forth as he pulled on it. Essentially like bending a paper clip back and forth until it breaks. He offered no remedy and handed my broken watch back to me. Dumbfounded I asked him if he was going to fix it. He told me he would have to see if his watch maker can repair it. Fine, can you have him take a look? Hes only here once per week, you will have to wait on it. I asked for a receipt that stated I left the watch with him and he refused. One week later I came to pick up the watch and it was fixed with a pin half the correct size. The band was loose on one side and it would be a matter of time before the pin snapped. I showed this to Mr. Getz and we argued back and forth. He noticed a few customers leave the store as they overheard our conversation. He then calls me an a**hole to which I escalated my vocabulary to match. I had enough. Took the watch to a nearby jeweler to have it corrected. BEWARE.

The rudest people I have ever encountered. I believe I spoke with the owner (old woman, dark hair and glasses), she was insanely rude. I couldnt believe it. I left shocked and disgusted. I am getting married and looking at local jewelers first. I will absolutely not return for any of our rings, nor will I be suggesting them to my engaged girlfriends. In fact I am going out of my way to tell anyone and everyone about the horrible experience. Avoid these people at all costs. Classless, condescending jerks!

I stopped by seven different times, I have ALWAYS been treated special. Both employees I dealt with went above and beyond to make everything perfect fro me. I have purchased six different items in 2015 and I BELIEVE I received a more than fair market value for items I purchased, Jim the owner also gave me a written appraisal for a watch I needed for my insurance at NO CHARGE. I will continue to shop there. I try to help the local businesses if I can, wish everyone did. Gregg Sutter Cinn Ohio.

I went in for help regarding a bunch of jewelry that was stolen from my home. The owner gave me a hard time about not having an alarm system in my home, blamed me for not having each piece appraised separately, and continued to berate me regarding my inability to care for my things. The biggest assholes I have ever met in my life.

The man working at the store today was SO rude to me on my entry, that I turned around and walked out. The people at Markus Jewelers are much kinder and I will never walk back into Getz again.
