My husband contacted Mike Pruitt Honda by phone to inquire about a 2012 Honda Odyssey at the end of the year. He was connected to salesman John Russo who was very responsive, respectful and pleasant to work with both over the phone and ultimately in person. We made arrangements to come to the showroom to see the vehicle. It was a cold winters day, and he had the car warmed up and waiting for us for a test drive immediately. I particularly like that we were greeted and treated like the potential customers we were upon walking in the door. I will not mention specific names but we visited two other Honda dealers closer to our house, dealers who could have had our business instead, and the difference in customer service was remarkable. With the economy as it has been the last 4-5 years, I would expect car dealerships to fine tune their customer service toward excellency, to treat people who walk in the door of a showroom with respect and a sense of urgency that matches that of the potential customer. To give you an idea of the contrast at another dealer, we were ignored upon arrival for 15 minutes and so we left, end of story. At a second dealer, we admittedly had only 90 minutes at most to test drive the model we were interested in and to get a feel for the dealership. A salesman greeted us, but he was pokey. The first thing he did was spend several minutes gathering our personal information for follow-up marketing purposes, more time asking for our drivers license and insurance information to do a test drive, and after 45 minutes, he STILL didnt have a car ready for us to test drive. At that point, other customers of his walked in the door and he felt compelled to work with them so he did. We excused ourselves at that point. And the worst part of all is the fact that this dealership called our home and emailed both of us repeatedly afterwards, even after we told them to stop, to give them a second chance. A second chance? We were IN their showroom! They had a bird in the palm of their hand; you dont get any closer than that! Why would we return at that point? And even more astounding, now that we have purchased, we received a letter from this same dealership asking us to bring our car to them for servicing. Wow. Thats some chutzpah. Not a chance. Needless to say, we were not treated like this at Mike Pruitt. They get it. We were greeted immediately, and served until we were finished for the day. And by "finished", I mean we bought a car. John arranged for the exact car we wanted from another dealership to be ready the next day. The only thing that prevents my service rating from being a excellent, is that we were told to arrive at 9:30 the following day for pickup and the car was not ready at that hour. We spent a few hours waiting for the cars prep to be finished and ultimately had to rush through the dashboard tutorial in order to keep another afternoon appointment. Nevertheless, John was courteous and professional throughout and very kind to our small children. He even humored us by taking a picture of us with our new minivan. A new minivan is a BIG DEAL in our family. Its going to see us through several soccer games and road trips all around this beautiful country of ours on vacation and holidays. Its beautiful inside and exactly what we wanted. Thank you, Mike Pruitt Honda and John Russo. You rock.

After going to this dealership and doing some homework regarding our current lease of a Newer Honda Accord. My husband and I had just turned in a 2012 Accord with fairly good results, but as far as a second time Honda Owner, my husband and I were in a bit of a crunch situation trying to find the ideal car at the best leased price. Once arriving at Great Lakes, we were impressed by the large inventory of cars, the clean appearance of the dealership, friendly staff and overall sales experience. We were greeted by saleman Blake couldnt find the exact color we were looking for although it was on the lot, so he made the concession to find another Honda model with all the "bells and whistles that was priced less which was available on the Accord we purchased were basically standard options although we wanted one that wasnt as loaded so we could have purchased with the lowest overall costs. One thing we were disgruntled about the Honda Accord IS that there is an issue with the brake fluid line on these cars that tend to prematurely wear and our 2012 lease and cost us over $1,000.00 in brake service repairs since these cars have no indicator lights leased car we purchased WHICH was NOT covered since it fell into the category as normal wear and tear which technically a defect that wasnt specifically indicated in the car warranty during this period of 36,000 miles. Since the gas mileage was a bigger factor to us as Honda owners, we have taken the chance to lease another 2015 Honda Accord. Blake made the effort to get the paperwork in order for us to lease within a 2 hour time frame at which by that time was closing time for the dealership. The OTHER negative is that we had DUNLOP tires on the prior Accord we leased and requested those on the newer leased vehicle. The vehicle being sold had FIRESTONE tires which we disliked having on the vehicle. When asked if we could have those tires changed on our vehicle at the time of the lease negotiation,The salesman wasnt able to comply with negotiating that request! Nonetheless, the lease was signed, but we did have concerns as to what were told by the salesman as far as perks with the car such as a complementary oil change which was offered to us at a prior dealership. It has been 3 months since signing our lease and have discovered Blake no longer works there so as a result, we never got the oilchange certificate. What we did get was a telephone survey on asking how we were treated and wanted our feedback within 2 weeks on the dealership. I would have preferred some communication as far as the sales manager stating the current changes at the dealership INCASE we needed any other sales or service assistance. Frankly, we were VERY disappointed in not receiving a followup from this dealership for their lack of communication. We were Jay Honda customers with the previous lease and they have been RELENTLESS in following up with us as a customer since our 2012 Honda Lease. You would think they would Great Lakes would want to keep our business by doing the same! It raises a red flag as far as wanting to keep us as loyal customers!

I just recently purchased a used car. One of the best experiences in life turned out to be the worst. After the purchase the car I financed it stopped on me the second night driving the vehicle. I contacted the person who sold me the car. He reassured me there would be no more issues. A few days later the car had service lights that needed to be attended to. So I then again had to take the car back. No worries i will drive it myself to make sure their are no issues. The car was again taken to service to fix yet again. Another week went by I went to the gas station came out and the car wouldnt start. I had to have the car towed back to the dealership again. I was in tears. This was the third time and I havent even made a payment on the car yet. I felt like I was in a horror movie. Once again I contacted this peson and no response. Their was a gentleman in the service dept who did in fact recognized me, and offered services to fix the car again. You thought for sure nothing else would go wrong. He even put me in a car for two days to make sure it was fixed. I get the car back on Thursday of last week and its still making noise. I returned to the dealership after getting no call back from the person who sold me the car. Today I went in and went straight to the service person who helped me before. I explained the situation yet again. This time he got another person to ride along with me to hear the noise. Finally the person who sold the car is notified of what was wrong. He came over so rude and inappropriate unapologetic nasty and stern. This time I fixing this and then Im done with you. I looked at him with a smile. This will be the last time dealing with you???? I said to myself. How is this any type of customer service. I thought when something is wrong you help. Needless to say Im am furious and highly disappointed. I will not ever recommend you purchase a used car because they treat you like scum. I was reassured nothing was wrong with the car and it keeps breaking down. I so wish I could get my money back and go somewhere else. I regret ever stepping foot in this dealership. I will say the guy in service was great and he was very nice and helpful. To the scum bag who sold the car he just wanted a sale.
