So heres whats great about this Ace. Its in the middle of a neighborhood that was built in the mid 1800s so its stocked with parts for old houses. Cant find a fitting to match that wood burning stove? Its probably here. Ancient radiator knob? Theyve got it. Not only do they have all the parts they also have staff that can help you find the right part and tell you how to install it. Their prices are fair considering their prime location. You migh find it cheaper in the suburbs but then again, you may not find it alt all. These guys rock.

Small store, good people. Good stock of parts, tools, supplies and equipment, but limited brand selection due to their small location. Their prices arent very good, but theyre conveniently located and relatively knowledgeable, which makes up for a lot. Its a busy store so be prepared to wait in line at checkout. I hate Ace hardware corporate because they do anything they can to shut down locally owned competition. I go here because the best store in town is closed now!

I live just a few blocks away and decided walk down and give the local Ace Hardware a shot. After wandering around for 15 minutes not one person offered me any help. I went to the front counter and was ignored, and then I left.. I have much better luck getting help at the big box stores. I know other people who have had a similar experience. I suggest you make the drive down to the Ace at Alameda and Broadway. Thats what an Ace is supposed to be.

Great helpful staff. This location has also a great crew for getting getting keys copied and specialty locks mastered. Yes, can be pricey at times but its a tradeoff if youre in downtown and both Home Depots are a good distance and youre on a time crunch. Plus, if you work in maintenance downtown, they carry things that are relevant to the older buildings that you may not find at the big box stores.

100% recommended. The team at Ace are very helpful, customer service oriented, and patient. We are gutting /remodeling a home nearby. I am at the store at least 3 times per week, seeking obscure parts. One of the Ace colleagues almost always walks me to the appropriate parts aisle and helps me find the needed item. I love shopping here because I dont have to wander huge aisles and waste time.

Cant go in the store with a backpack or bag. So if you take anything but a car to the shop you cannot go in without leaving your bag at the front? If you have problems with theft maybe you should address that rather than punish those of us who do not travel by car. What would effect you worse. A few stolen items or cops coming because someones bag when missing.

Great customer service, and theyre actually knowledgeable about the products they sell (unlike the majority of my experiences at the Depot. Wish process were lower, but theyre a small store and theyre right in the middle of town, so its understandable. Thanks to the employees for making Ace the friendly neighborhood store

Ace hardware Cap Hill is your go-to place for all the stuff you need from a hardware store. The staff are always willing to help and are kind and friendly. Its an old school shop, and a blessing to all of us in this neighborhood. Highly recommended!!

This place is like your grandpas garage... old store with shelves 15 ft high full of everything. Staff really helpful and will help with whatever you need. LOVE this place.

Lowes did not have the part i need. Home Depot could special order it. Ace had 5 in stock with some one who knew plumbing. I was in and out in under 10 min.
