My mother and I are in the process of renovating my grandfathers house in highlands Ranch. The whole point in this renovation is to make it a nice livabe home and be as low maintenance as possible being its going to be a rental. Obviously, you dont want to spend money carelessly just like anything else so we try and save some money by doing things ourself which is why we have spent THOUSANDS at Home Depot in the last 6 months. On Sat. June 24th my mother and I went to this store in my truck to rent a Dump Trailer to haul some dirt for the landscape at the house. My mom walks into the rental area and speaks with Gary and states that she needs to rent a trailer. He asks what we will be using to pull it which was my 2012 GMC Sierra Diesel Denali. They walk outside and he asks her what we are hauling to which she states we are hauling about a ton and a half of dirt. He said that the small 5x8 trailer wouldnt work for that and that we would have to get the larger 6x12 trailer. My mom was hesitant about spending any more money on the larger trailer so she simply stated "well maybe we can just make another trip with with the small trailer for another load so we can save some money so lets just get the small one". Garys words to her after she said this were "Well, maybe you should have your son sell that $50,000 truck of his so he can help you pay for the bigger trailer". My mother then proceeded to explain how i aquired this truck and that I work for a local GMC dealer and that I bought this truck with a lot of issues that I corrected since I am a GM diesel mechanic. She should have never had to get into this as none of this was any of his business. This EXTREMELY rude comment has earned this store a 1 star rating and has also lost our business. Gary is not the only employee that has treated us poorly and has been rude to us but.....that can wait for another 1 star review as these are two totally separate issues with two different departments. By the way Gary.....I paid $28,000 for that beautiful Denali Diesel.

Do not ever buy an appliance here!!!! While purchasing the appliance no mention was ever made that it cannot be returned once we sign for it at delivery. Home Depot uses a company called Baileys for installation. Baileys showed up to install a dishwasher. They removed the old Maytag and hooked up a new Whirlpool without checking the fit. After it was hooked up and tested they attempted to slide the appliance back in place, however a water line was blocking it from sliding in all the way. Baileys said it was a piece of wood blocking it not a water line. They said dont worry if it is a bigger project than you want Home Depot will take it back, here sign this." I cut the piece of wood and that was not the problem. The problem is the Whirlpool dishwasher has a longer base to it and it was in conflict with the water line. Little did I know and what was never explained to me is that as soon as you sign, you OWN IT. END OF STORY. Home Depot offered me $100 credit, but that does not make up for it. I never knew the water line was there since I never replaced the dishwasher before. I wasted my time going back to the store and the people pulled out the GE model and we determined that would fit. They said call Danni on Monday and she will take care of it. I spoke with Assistant Manager Jason. He was not much help and basically said there is no way they can resell it. I told Jason how unhappy I was that Baileys pushed it back on Home Depot and said they would take care of it. His response was basically, "You signed the paper work when you bought it right." Well yeah obviously I had to sign it, but who reads all the small print on something like that. I expect a reputable company to inform me of the situation, not just say Oh well you signed it. These people have crap customer service when it comes fixing a situation like this. From now on I will be purchasing appliances elsewhere.

Do not buy lumber here. Christian, with the hat is a complete jerk. Asked for some help to get the non wet pallet of wood and he told me no.. I asked if he was kidding and he said no again "safety hazard Blah blah and he walked away. I had to get a store manager to help me out and bingo, it was like no problem. I got the dry wood that I wanted and I was baffled. Awkward already right!? so the real reason for the review is, Im at check out and he walked up with a line of other customers, He then got in my personal space, confronted me about getting a manager and I didnt even get "his boss" to help me at check out. I then evaluated and determined if he valued his job and was going to attack me. It really felt was like he was trying to fight me. I asked him to leave me alone and and I wasnt going to engage him. He then stepped closer and told me that he worked here and can stand where ever he wants. I then told him he had the worst customer service I have ever experienced and to piss off. It took another coworker to pull him away from my space. me and my cashier were astounded. She offered me a substantial discount because of this encounter but my card had ran already I needed to leave the area. Is this what the world has come to? Avoid this bone head at all costs.

Pathetic customer service. I purchased a lumber package, which was mixed with another customers package when I took delivery. It was a nightmare to return the wrong material, and the unprofessional jerks at the counter treated the situation as nothing but an inconvenience. Then, 2 months later the wood warped and bowed WAY beyond normal, and I had them and the product reps to inspect. Weeks later, after calling the store to get an answer multiple times, they tell me they would be willing to credit for a minuscule amount of the defective product. I then escalate the issue to the corporate office, which took weeks to get the same answer. I then escalated the issue to the district staff, and have yet to receive a call from anyone. I am left now holding the bag and am about to write off 3,000 on my customers deck due to their unwillingness to stand by their product. My crews have purchased hundreds and thousands of dollars of materials from the Home Depot stores across Colorado to renovate over 200 houses and hundreds of over small projects the past 3 years, and they couldnt care less. They are all a bunch of jerks, and the last thing they care about is the customer. Buyer beware.

We made 3 trips here over the last week. Trip one: my wife waits at the key-making machine for 10 minutes hoping an employee will help. The keys end up not fitting. Trip two: my son returns to get replacements. Grumpy old guy tells him to wait by the key machine, eventually gets around to "helping". Trip three: my son and I enter and begin tracking floor help, hoping to locate two items. Grumpy old guy hoofs it away down an aisle, seeming to avoid contact. We turn down a long aisle and spot two red vests. 1/8th of a mile later, and we have almost caught them, but they grab a sheet of plywood and disappear into the back. We cross back to the east, spotting a distant flash of red. Closing rapidly, I stand 5 feet from employee #4, who is utterly preoccupied with her own interests. "I need help locating two items. Response: "I can`t help you with electrical." On and on it goes. These people are absolutely NOT interested in customers. I`m taking my 2-3k/year home improvement dollars and heading elsewhere. Louisville had a great Home Depot, so I know they`re out there...just not this one.
