Got a coupon in the mail and thought Id use it on some much needed supplies since we are remodeling our entire house. The coupon was 2 days old but thst had never been an issue for me at True Value, three block west of Ace, which is notably cheaper than Ace. They were totally rude about the coupon and wouldnt accept it. I went to True value and used Aces coupon. Ace just lost a customer who would have spent an insane amount of money there over the next three years....Ill never go back. True Value is cheaper on everything and the people rock. They also have the most unique items for your home. I could spend hours in there. Ace didnt even have one flower that wasnt half dead and they didnt have the nearly dead plants marked down. Full price (bogo, but still) for dead plants? Their business Must be struggling since theyre jerks about coupons and marking items down as needed. Good luck to you. Word of advice? Your customers should be more important to you than $7. Best of luck. Youll need it the way you treat your customers.

Any time my husband and I need something for our old house (and its been quite often in the past year), we come here. The employees here are the most genuinely helpful, nice, and friendly people, and they are why we choose this place over any other. They carry almost everything you could ever need from a hardware store--and then some--and whatever they dont have, theyre always happy to try to find something similar or make a recommendation on where to find it. There was one freezing cold night last winter where we ran out of air filters for our furnace. My husband drove straight to Ace, got there as they were closing for the day, but they still let him in to buy some filters and keep us warm. They treat you less like a dollar sign and a lot more like a human being. We love Ace on the Fax. You guys are awesome!!!

Imagine being greeted at the door and being asked "May I help you find something?" Thats what happens nearly every time I go to Ace on the Fax. So I dont spend forever wandering around a giant box looking for something. Are their prices cheaper than the boxes? Of course not, but theres more to value than price and Im willing to pay a little more to these fine people to receive the outstanding customer service I receive there. I love going to this store. I dread going to the boxes and fighting the big parking lot, tons of pedestrians and customers always in the way, walking from one end of the store to the other looking, looking, looking..... At Ace on the Fax, its park close, go in, get the things I need quickly and efficiently, pay, then get home. Wow, what a place!

I have brought my mower here six times since the initial "fix", and each time the always changing staff show me that the mower is fixed by starting it in front of me and even having me start it, but by the time I get it home, it doesnt start anymore or stops working mid-mow. There is a problem with my mower that this so-called service shop is incapable of diagnosing and fixing. If you need anything more than a tune up, I suggest you find some actual small motor experts. After bringing my mower back six times they have not offered me a refund, although I got a gift card for 20% of the paper cost and zero compensation for the cost of loading a mower into the trunk of a small car multiple times and bringing it to the shop once again.

Today I came in to rent a power washer. After bringing the power washer home I had some issues with it and had to go back to the store for the employees to take a look at it. Unfortunately, I let my emotions get the best of me and visibly showed my frustrations. I want to make everyone aware that the entire staff did an AMAZING JOB in turning a negative situation into a positive one. Justin (Manager) was calm throughout the entire situation and exceeded my expectations in making everything right. Justin and his staff are always amazing and that is why I choose to only shop at Ace on Colfax. Other shoutouts go to Gerardo who was very proactive in helping me. Thanks to all the staff for being truly awesome!

I have been in two emergency situations in the last 2 months--you all realize that with an older home--there can be emergency situations. Six weeks ago, I needed help with some pumps and Hayden helped me immediately. But today, when he was supposed to be having lunch with his wife, MORGAN spent 50 minutes answering my questions, and helping me with everything. HE IS BRILLIANT! And he understands customer service better than most in the world. I went into the store to buy a $4.99 hose connector and walked out with $114.00 worth of garden and lawn care paraphernalia that already have made my gardening life so much easier. Whatever Ace is paying him, they need to pay him double. He is that good!

Had fuel line replaced on gas trimmer last year, and it worked for 2 months last summer. But this year never worked again, as I found out that they cut too many corners and botched the job. After taking to another repair shop they pointed out all the things they did wrong. 1) cheap fuel line hose 2) wrong fuel filter for my model ( which was clogged after less than 10 months),3) they drilled one of the fuel reservoir holes larger to put the wrong fuel line through ( which caused leaking fuel over time.) I cant trust these guys any longer, and their prices are extremely high compared to other places.

I cant say enough positive things about this store and its staff. Theyre always friendly, helpful (which is why theyre the helpful hardware store, after all) and attentive. The store is always clean and organized with enough of a selection to fit my needs nearly every time I go in. Best of all, this place makes me look forward to going to the hardware store, unlike my dread when just thinking about a Home Depot trip. Keep it up, guys!

We needed help getting the right wrench to remove the bike rack from the back of my car. Morgan the night manager not only got us the correct wrench, but made sure we knew how to use it so we could easily get the rack on and off. In an age where customer service barely exists it was such a pleasure to experience great customer service. Great job Morgan. We will be back!

This Ace store sharpens non-motorized push mowers! I went to Power-at-Hand on Colfax, but they only sharpen power mowers--and they sent me to Ace on Fax. And what a large, beautifully organized and stocked Ace Hardware. It isnt the closest to my house by any means, but I may just go here from now on, for hardware needs.

Simply awesome service. By the time you enter the door, there is almost always someone ready to help and get you going in the right direction. I rarely spend more than few moments here, but that is because the staff has got me geared up and ready to go in moments. Compare that to the time-sucking void that is Home Depot.
