The reason I gave 5 stars is because our experience with home depot was so off putting that we canceled our order and found a great small flooring company so Thank you Home Depot for that! Save yourself the trouble and get your floors done by some one that has customer service skills because this company lacks customer service at all levels. We went in looking for 2 types of flooring. We were interested in laminate for our kitchen, a powder room and the entry way. We specifically asked how it held up to water and scratching (because of our pup) we were told that the laminate was really durable so we set up for the measuring to be done. We asked if they could work around our schedule and were told that when the person called we would be able to work out a time. When the measurer called I asked him about coming at a time that would work for us and was told NOPE, I can be here at this time and that was it so I took time off of work since they could not work with us. The person was late for starters and then said he was there to measure just one room and he did not have time to measure the rest of the house. He also proceeded to tell me he would not install laminate in his kitchen or powder room because if water gets on it there will be damage and it will warp. So after some back and forth we ended up canceling our order because we felt like they said whatever they needed to just to make a sell. Heads up Home Depot when people ask you about a product maybe throw in your sales pitch that you wouldnt recommend a product in areas that the product will be come damaged easily. If you want a great company call Carpet Mart, Gary knows how treat people.

Absolutely horrendous customer service! Employees dont know where anything is, and never lift a finger to help you. I waited for 10 minutes last week in the paint department before the employee on duty, even acknowledged my. No "Be with you in a minute" or even eye contact. We we down there to buy a Christmas tree last night, and once again, horrible customer service. None of the heaters were turned on, so it was sub freezing temperature in the garden department. We looked for 15 minutes. Nobody came to assist us, Nobody offered us any help picking out a tree. After we finally found one, I wheeled it to the front of the garden center past the only employee on duty, He didnt acknowledge me as I waited patiently for service. I then had to get him myself and ask for help. He seemed annoyed that he had to work. After I finally got him to wrap up the tree. He neglected to ask me if I wanted a fresh cut on the base. After wheeling it around the store, we had to go back and get it cut, with more attitude from him. It really seemed like we were burdening him by asking for anything. FINALLY we get the tree to the front and complain to the manager, who immediately took the side of the employee. They tied our tree to the car and had us sit inside with the windows down. Thereby tying and locking us inside the car. We literally had to cut our way out of the vehicle when we got home. Im pretty sure thats the wrong way to tie down a tree since locking people in their car could be considered a hazard. (luckily we didnt drive into a lake) ABSOLUTELY INCOMPETENT UNHELPFUL EMPLOYEES!!! Go to ACE Hardware instead.

This has to be one of the worst Home Depots in Denver. Let me elaborate. 1st isssue: I came in looking for help on some masonry. There was only one guy still working at 4 PM who was knowledgeable and he kept telling me I was next, but was also the only fork driver so I was waiting for over 40 minutes and finally walked out. 2nd issue: came back the next day but check out lines were too long at lunch so I had them hold stuff for after I was done with work and could finish my order. I came back after work at 4 pm and THE POWER was out!!! Dont they sell generators?! 3rd Issue: I finally got my whole order in and took what fit in my car and left the rest for will call. I came in for will call at 3:41 PM and they went to go pull the order while i finish shopped for another item. Shopping done and half an hour later I was STILL WAITING for the will call order. They had apparently buried it. I could have pulled the item faster myself. I asked for a manager since I had to leave and that leads me to the 4th issue. 4th Issue: The manager apologized for the long wait and promised to deliver the order to my house and would waive the delivery fee. The delivery time came and I waited. The delivery time went and I waited. An hour after it was due, I called the store to find out they never had it on the delivery order for the day. Even the MANAGER there is too incompetent to follow through correctly. I am now hoping the latest person I talked to will deliver on the proper delivery tomorrow. She sounded more competent than most I talk to there.

Visited this store in the evening 8:30 p.m. Nov 12, 2015. Young lady running paint dept. I walked up and asked her for the paint I needed by its *exact name* and told her it was a Behr paint but I did not know the #. She looks at her computer and informs me there are 13 colors with that name (how could this be???) and she suggested I go home and check my can for the #. I proceeded to walk over to the paint color swatches in the store and found the exact name and # immediately!! This young lady offered no help at all for such an easy request as mine. When I went back over to her to place my order she was counting her drawer and would not acknowledge me right away so I waited patiently for a few minutes...no acknowledgement yet. She did however acknowledge a gentleman worker who had a question for her and proceeded to argue with him quite loudly in front of me for quite a few minutes. She seemed to have a condescending attitude. She was talking down to him and using words such as "my people." These are not her people...these are workers. I was offended and embarrassed for the gentleman worker in the other dept. I have owned retail shops for many years and either this young lady is not trained enough to run this dept., misinformed about the items in her dept, or has been given too much authority. Surely you can do better than this. Not a pleasant experience!

Run dont walk away from Home Depot and any company that uses Linn Star for delivery!!!!!!!!!! Worst experience ever. Was to get washer and dryer from Home Depot. First time, came at wrong scheduled window and couldnt accept so rescheduled. You have to block off an entire day as they dont inform you until the night before the 4 hour block theyll deliver. (How f..king gracious of them!! They make the cable company look like the most customer friendly company) They didnt call the night before with delivery window, so when I called in the morning after blocking off another entire day, to see when was 4 hour delivery window, they lost the order and not getting delivered that day either, so said I would have to block off another day. After hours on the phone trying to get Home Depot manager, Chris, who doesnt return calls for hours and wouldnt take any responsibility or call the owner of Linn Star to hold them accountable,I talked my landlord into canceling the order and getting from Best Buy, and Ill just keep going to the laundry matt until new washer and dryer are delivered. Im never buying anything from Home Depot again, and strongly recommend against using them. Bully tactics in todays world of social media dont last very long.
