Rare to walk into a bike shop and have staff so detail-oriented and welcoming. Terrific addition to Roosevelt Row neighborhood! These folks are good-natured, attentive and know their bikes. Shop isnt niche for any specific rider segment, theyve got a great range of products at cheap-to-very-reasonable prices. Freshly renovated interior, not overpacked like some shops where youre worried about tripping and squeezing your bike to the back for service. Cafe is a great touch and serves microbrew too, makes sticking around for service much less of a chore. Owner is really friendly, will definitely be back here for service and other biking needs. Been to four popular bike shops around Greater Phoenix and this is by far the best. Worth a visit even if you have a current go-to shop.

Walked in after my bike fell off my bike rack while driving from out of state. Freaked out that I might have just trashed my bike I walked in and when I asked for help one of the employees stopped his lunch break to come out and help. Thank goodness my panic was for not and all I needed was to get a quick fix but I walked out with the best service I have yet to get at any bike shop Ive ever shopped at. Not sure what the dudes name was but thanks man! The entire staff seemed friendly and the shop had a lot of great gear that I got to check out while I waited. From an out of towney, much appreciated!

Best bike shop Ive used in a long time. Very honest staff... not only are they very knowledgable about their craft but they will also give you an honest assessment of what you need based on your situation. On two separate occasions theyve given me much more than what I paid for and theyve been very kind & helpful. Shops like this help to build community. Its a valuable resource to have. The kombucha bar attached on the east wing of the shop is also a great place to chill and the staff there are also super friendly. One of the best spots in downtown Phoenix.

Made two visits to this place today. First visit was to get a new set of headset bearings, the guys there were super knowledgable and I was in and out of there. Second visit was to get my back tire fixed/replaced. The guys made some recommendations and were very nice, helpful and personable. The best part was when one of the guys opened up a box of chocolate covered strawberries and shared them with the other employees and myself! Good times! To sum it up; theyre fast, friendly and very fairly priced when it comes to replacement parts. RECOMMENDED!

Velo bike shop is fantastic. The bikes they sell run the gamut but primarily cater to upper-end selection, meaning the bike you get will be of high quality. The shop has a super modern, aesthetic design with a connecting espresso shop to match it. The staff are all active and experienced riders so theyre knowledgeable and happy to provide advice (from bike selections to pedal stroke technique!). I couldnt have been happier. Full Disclosure: I bought my road bike there and they gave me a ROCKIN deal. Totally worked with me on the price.

I called this bike shop this morning to make sure they had want I needed for my bike before I came and the guy I spoke with would answer my questions halfway and then just tell me I should come in. Not sure why, but it was really frustrating! I have three bikes I need to have looked at and many questions, but clearly this place is too busy!

Went into The Velo today with my girlfriend and had a great experience. Top notch service and at no point did I feel like they were trying to sell me merchandise I did not need. The owner and his employees are incredibly friendly and I recommend this bike store to everyone! 5 stars plus!

Jason is one of the best guys you could buy a bike from. Hes knowledgable, honest, and fun to talk with. I went in to buy a bike and he personally took me out on several test rides to make sure I picked the one that was best for me. Great experience. The coffee and artwork is good too!

Monopolize Your Marketplace

Wow, these guys were fantastic. I was really in a bind - front tire of my Schwinn was stolen. They had a new rim, tire, and tube ready for me in two hours. Not only was it quick but these guys were personable as hell too. Highly recommend them! Thanks The Velo!

Came in to this shop with a derailleur issue on my mountain bike and the guy made a quick adjustment which fixed my problem, didnt charge me for it. Also brought my road bike in for a tune up and it rides great!! Good guys and great shop!!

Just stopping in for help with directions. Very nice place. They were extremely nice and helped me find the place I was looking for. They also let me use wifi to help with directions. Just they type of place that part of town needs.
