Purchased a new mountain bike here two Fridays ago, at a great deal, and even ordered a Kuat bike rack at their recommendation. I picked up the rack the next Monday, already assembled (free service) when it came in a few days later and on its 2nd use on Wednesday, it failed going down I-17, half-flinging the brand new bike causing it to drag the handlebars! It was such a scary experience, since it was already dark and I-17 south from North Phoenix doesnt offer much room for pulling over at ALL. I finally did pull over and put the bike rack upright and retightening everything. While merging onto I-10, the dreaded thud happened again, and I pulled over to put the rack back up and started driving very slowly with emergency signals on. It gave way another time, and this time after putting it back up, I took to local streets and drove super slow... It did fail once more and since I was so close to home, I left it the way it was since it was obvious it did not want to stay up, so I drove slowly and finally made it home. It was such a bummer having a brand new bike be damaged like that especially since I had a weekend trip planned to go biking in two days so I didnt know what to expect when I took it into the shop next day on Thursday. Everyone at the shop was shocked since Kuat is known for their amazing quality and apparently theyre even more known for their awesome customer service. Coupled with that and the service at Slippery Pig, its been quite an experience. They looked over the bike and replaced parts that needed to be addressed so I could take the bike on the trip. I was able to pick up my bike on Friday for my trip. During the trip, I dont know if it was myself psyching myself out or what but the bike did not feel the same, not to mention noises I hadnt heard before and the bike not being able to hold gear when I needed to climb. When I got back on Monday, I took the bike back with my concerns and I was able to pick up a replacement rack. Its now Tuesday, and the owner himself just called me to reassure me they will go over it very finely for any problems and correct anything they see. So far, its been a great experience and it seems like this shop and its employees have your back and stand by the products they sell and recommend. I will update this review after the matter has been resolved, but so far everything has been great!

Took in two bikes on 2/2/2015 to have parts transferred from one bike to the other and was told they should be done in a day or two. I received a call from Ron that they were having trouble removing one crankset (Campagnolo Athena 11) and that they would have to “source” a part. I called them the following week to inquire about the status and never received a call back. I called the next week and was told the mechanic was out but they would call me back (which they never did). I called the following week (we are now approaching 1 month) and was also told the mechanic was at lunch but would call me back (which they never did). Frustrated I went to the shop Friday 2/20 and asked for my bikes (Pinarello FP Quattro and a Colnago M10s). Several people searched for the work order and bikes but had great difficulty finding them. After about 10 minutes of searching the unfinished bikes emerged and Ron came over to try to explain. I told Ron if they did not have the capability to complete the job I would have understood and simply gone to another shop but what was unacceptable was nobody calling me back for nearly a month and me having to go to the shop and demand my property back. The icing on the cake was when Ron also told me that numerous parts were “missing” and he could not find them and did not know if they were stolen or simply misplaced. Initially, I only noticed the Campagnolo Athena 11 front and rear deraileurs were missing but when I got home with the bags full of parts I also found that the crank fixing bolt for the Campagnolo Record 11 crankset was gone as was the Campagnolo Record 11 chain. Ron told me to contact him on Tuesday 2/24/2015 since he needed some time to try and figure out what happened. The saga continues but this is the worst customer experience I have ever had with any business (bicycle or otherwise).

i went in there on a monday to order something very simple, something i thought any bike shop would have because, some of the people working there are pretty cool and they are very knowledgeable when it comes to bikes, and they said the part would take 3-5 days which was perfect being that i work as a courier on a bike and i needed this i had my pregnant gf go in that same friday cause she wanted to buy me a pair of gloves for valentines day and she said they were rude to her (probably cause she wasnt there to drop more than a couple hundred dollars) and she was goin to ask if they had my pedal straps, they didnt have them, i called saturday morning to see if they had them, they said "oh yeah weve had the shipping order for a couple days now, but no one has gone through the boxes yet, well give you a call in a few hours" so they never called me back i called back on monday and they told me the same thing no one has gone through the boxes yet give as an hour and well call you back. I showed up and hour later and it wasnt till then that they went through the boxes (cause i showed up) they didnt have them, as the owner is helping another customer he says we get another shipment tomorrow (tuesday) well give you a call. i asked if i could get my money back and the owner yells from across the shop theres a restocking fee... really? how are you gonna charge me to restock an item you dont even have yet , i had to call them wednesday and they had them but it was the wrong item so they asked if i wanted those i said no and so they had to order them again they said ill have them friday... the wait continous. long story short, if they dont have it there dont order it unless its 200 dollars or more than you get full service

So , Im not sure about the "bad " reviews here, I shopped around for a 2013 Epic Comp 29er, seriously I went to Global, Performance, and Bikes Direct... Global Bikes try to get you to finance on the spot so they can "order" the bike, Performance does not even sell Specialized and Bikes etc , although they where giving me the best price, they could not tell me when the bike would arrive should I order it, I called the Pig and talked to Frederico, not only did they have the bike " IN STORE" but they matched and BEAT Bikes Direct lowest price. I felt that even though there was a lot of standing around, every person that came into this shop while I was there was being helped, the staff seems very knowledgeable and are VERY helpful. I suppose if one went into any establishment with a crooked attitude., it would be received as such, I just dont see the shop people acting as some have said, I have not had my bike serviced yet and I really dont see the connection between servicing a more expensive bike than not, Since I bought a bike from them my first few tune-ups are free, after that I would have to pay, it seems kind of stupid for someone to say that they wont service your bike unless its an expensive bike? money is money regardless if its a Specialized or an electra.........
