Unfortunately, although these electric bicycles are a lot of fun to ride, they ended up being a "money pit" for us. After only a little over a year of ownership, mine had worn bearings in the front wheel and needed a major repair. Over that year we spent quite a bit on repairs on both electric bicycles. Worse yet, the shop told us originally, that they would repair bicycles on site which for us, being in our 70s was a selling feature but soon after wed paid off both bicycles ($4400!) the "repair on site" went away and if you wanted a repair on the bicycle, you had to tote it into the shop in the car which got too difficult for us. And still worse yet, the shop didnt seem to be able to keep a good repair person and repair is a big part of these bikes. The bike we had bought from Phoenix Produce (also a Chinese bike) ended up being much more reliable and trouble free than the hybikes (and a whole less expensive to purchase!). We ended up dumping the hybikes and got electric mobility scooters - much better built and virtually trouble free with a better range on the batteries. (Husband adds that there are no user serviceable parts on Hybikes so if you plan on doing your own maintenance, youre out of luck).

AAA+ Bike and AAA+ Customer Service-With only a low down payment and only $100 a month! I love my HyBike Alkaline. I can get to my favorite coffee place or the gym in a fraction of the time waiting for the bus. I live in an area that has a lot of hills. When I had my previous non-electric bike, I was walking the bike more than riding it. With my Alkaline, going up hills is a breeze. Even though HyBikes is in Arizona and I live in Vallejo California, after going to the website 4 years ago, when the timing was perfect I knew I would be purchasing an electric bike from this company. I recently had an increase in income and knew the timing was right to get my dream bike. My chariot of mobility freedom! I never had to wait a long time to get an email response and when I called I could usually get them on the phone. Dave and Chase were great asking my many questions including how do I get this thing to move? IF you are looking for a low cost alternative for your personal mobility, choose HyBike-I highly recommend it.Tell them Evelyn in California sent you.

I said in an earlier review that I must ell you that I am a 73 year old woman and I need a way to get out and about without much effort. I was sick and tired of walking and decided that an electric bike would suit me best. I went down to the guys at HyBikes and they got me gong on one of their electric bikes. I picked out a beautiful red bike, the polarity model. I will probably last longer that I need on a charge but it will MOST DEFINITELY help me to get my day to day things done. As a matter of fact it will probably last longer that I will as far as life is concerned because this thing is solid as a rock. I feel very sturdy and secure on my HyBike and would not hesitate to take it anywhere. The color aside, it has EVERYTHING on it TOO!! There is even an alarm system built right into the bike so when I go in to do my grocery shopping I just press the button on the key fob and I do not ever have to worry about it being stolen. I will tell everyone about this place!!!

I suggest that you shop around before buying a bike from these guys.! The warranty covers nothing, they lie about how far the bike will go on a single charge (mine was about half). All the pieces are the CHEAPEST you can get from China and will bend or break with normal use. The down payment they ask for is worth more than the value of the bike and then they want 3 times that as the total cost. I went in to get a new battery and they said they were waiting for a shipment to come in then they would replace it for me and after 3 months, still no phone call. I told them I would not pay until they replaced the battery then they came to my house and repossessed the bike with the COPS. Seriously, there are similar bikes out there for less than half of what they charge so get one elsewhere instead :)

First this is an unpaid review I love my HyBike so much I had business cards made to tell the world where to buy. The staff at Hy Bikes are 100 true bike friends my sale person Chase Harkins has want to the end of the earth to help me. I am on the bike everyday it is not raining here in New Jersey and have pushed this bike to a world of tests to see how it works. Have run out of power and found it easy to peddle the bike to a outlet and charge it had one issue with the charger and with in days received a new one. If you are looking for a safe bike any one fron Hy Bikes could be the answer.

I purchased two bikes here, I love my bikes but their billing is jacked up! you need to fix this ASAP! Update: I spoke to a man here, he asked me if I was the person who blasted them on Google reviews, I said yes. He then tried to explain why they charged me twice in a month for two bikes that I purchased after my bank card was cancelled and I called them to make an arrangement which they agreed to. They backed out of the agreement and still billed 2x the amount they should have months later. Oh well, I guess most businesses lost their integrity a long time ago.

The owner, Dave, is the utmost professional. Love the shop and the bikes. My wife and I own a red polarity bike. My wife riodes it to work, and wouldnt trade the experience for anything. Incredibly eco-friendly
