Ordered a birthday cake the outside was very pretty and thought it would be delishous as the previous birthday cake we orkered in October was. Picked up on Christmas Eve day to celebrate that night as my daughters birthday is Christmas Day. It was supposed to be half fudge half strawberry filling but the filling was sporadically all over the place not one side was chocolate and other strawberry so was cutting in it vertically and diagnally to get the filling request by family members and I saw a plastic tip in the filling and thought what is that? While most people were already eating as our family gethering was only 8 people and they were starting to eat there cake while I was still about to plate mine. So I pull on the plastic I see and out comes a full latex glove!!! Gross! Everybody thought the cake tasted gross maybe thats why? The frosting tasted good and the snow flake rings were nice but that is absolutely disgusting. Nobody ate there cake pieces after that. I kept the remaining cake on platter and the glove in a baggy. And called dec 26 they were closed dec 25 the store manager was not in but spoke to another manager named Troy who said sorry and next time I would be in I could get a full refund. I hope so. Coming from working at Costco for 8 years I sorta expected more but whatever I hope he tells the bakery dept because that was a birthday suprise my daughter didnt want it was abosolutely gross!!!

After shopping at Freddys for 30 years and in 2 states, I can honestly say that this was the worst service that I have ever experienced. While going through the checkout line, the cashier ignored the customers in line and did not bother to let us know she was waiting on something for another customer. After waiting for a few min and watching the cashier just drink her drink, another customer and I finally took our groceries to the self checkout. When I finally finished with my order and went to check on my friend that was attempting to get a money order at the customer service desk. The employee at that location was absolutely rude and disrespectful. Between talking about a customer in front of them, and then getting rude with me when I asked for her name, Virginia was probably the most unprofessional customer service representative I have ever met. I understand frustration, but telling me to read her name tag, which happened to be covered by her lanyard strap, and then denying that it was covered when I stated it was, there is no excuse for her behavior. I highly encourage people to avoid this store. The Freddys a little further south on Broadway is much cleaner and way more friendly.

Anyone who shops at the James Center Fred Meyer Pharmacy is just sucking for a bad experience. The Pharmacists dont care, the attendants dont care. I transferred my prescriptions to this Pharmacy from the other one on 19th street. Same and worse experience. They put you on hold when you call then drop you off after 10 minutes. You go in and place your order, they say 30 minutes, an hour later they are still stalling your order. They ignore you when you go to the counter. The final insult was when I transferred my prescriptions from them to someone else. They said over the phone they had my order ready and when I arrived, waited 10 minutes being ignored and then told I would have to wait 45 minutes for them to transfer my prescriptions back if I wanted to pick up my order. It was sitting right there, it had been made up, but they would not sell it to me unless I transferred my prescriptions back to them and that would take 45 minutes. Fred Meyer, James Center, Pharmacy is just plain evil.

This store is pretty great, I have been shopping her for about a year. They have pretty good deals. I only have one problem its one rude cashier, Keley. She isnt friendly and thats ok. When the the 5 cent paper bags came into play the cashiers ask if you want to buy them or just put your things in the cart. Not Keley (short lady with dark brown hair)though she just puts your products in the bag without asking. I didnt notice, but when I did I said we dont need anymore. Keley said with an attitude" theyre only 5 cents". I said I dont want to pay for them I forgot my bag in the car. She just kinda rolled her eyes and had an attitude about it. I will avoid her lines from now on.

NOTE: This Fred Meyer is not a home center. It doesnt have garden things, clothes or shoes. There is a FM Home Center 1 mile down 19th. Strange but true! This store is better looking, lighter and the parking lot is easier to navigate. I love this smaller Fred Meyer. If you are in a hurry to do food shopping only, you can get through here more quickly. The health food section is a decent size. The deli is hit and miss with gourmet options. Higher end juices are not here - mostly just Odwalla. Good pharmacy here. Customer service desk is hit and miss - some of the staff is not good there, definitely luck of the draw.

I have been shopping at the James Center Fred Meyer for 6 years now. I am continually impressed with the customer service that I receive there. They always go out of their way to make sure I have everything I need. I know most of the employees by name and they know me, as well. Without sounding cliche I like going to a store where everyone knows my name! It gives it a very homey feel! Keep up the GREAT work! Connie R.

Large and probably covers all your grocery needs. Even has a bulk nuts section. Relatively lower prices. Ample parking and finally found a grocery with self checkout aisles which helps if youre an express type shopper who almost always has less than 15 items to checkout!

Slow down people and be thankful the pharmacy staff are not too fast to feel your prescription. Id rather wait and allow them to take their time as to hurry and give me the wrong medication. I wait a lot myself at the pharmacy. Be ice! this is a great store to shop at.

Typical Fred Meyer quality which is good, however... This is the worst laid out store I have ever been in. They need to put it together correctly for the floorplan to work. I will not shop here again because of how its laid out.

Our local grocer we frequent at least once a week. Prices are comparable to other grocery stores in my opinion. The staff is always very helpful and the fresh meat and seafood counter generally offers good choices for a good price.

Its a basic Fred Meyer thats much smaller than some of the surrounding sites. No electronics, automotive, hardware or outdoor departments but they do have a pharmacy, bakery, produce, natural food section, housewares and grocery.

All the employees are excellent! Friendly, knowledgeable, they do their job quickly and well, no lines, friendly customer service booth. Great prices. It is the only store I will shop at. The pharmacy is great as well.
