I tend to shop for so-called classic men’s clothing such as: button ups, dress pants, and sport coats, especially sport coats, and Value Village has them all in addition to the regular clothing you’d expect. Like with all thrift stores, you have to keep an eye out to get a clothing item that is both cheap and well-made but you can find them here. Compared to some Goodwill stores in the area, this one’s men’s section is relatively large. The sizing is what you’d expect. Pros: Prices: All of the men’s clothing I’ve browsed here is affordable but if you shop here for classic/vintage jackets you can find them here for about eight bucks on average which is a steal. Layout: The aisles are accessible and the lighting bright and clear. What really sets this place apart from other thrift stores are how the pants are hung up. Rather than being draped over hangers like you would expect, they’re clipped to the area between the waistband and upper thigh. This allows you to more quickly sort through them and get a better feel for their fabric, color, and size which is nice. On the other hand, these hangers can leave indentations on said fabric. Classic/vintage: I’ve seen between five to ten Harris Tweed sport coats here that were in great shape and have found my favorite jackets here: Harris Tweed, Donegal, grey herringbone, and even some nailshead and houndstooth jackets. Hours: During weekdays they’re open until nine pm which is later than most thrift stores in Tacoma. Cons: Dressing rooms: Unless you opt for the one that’s wheelchair accessible, they’re miserably small and don’t have anywhere for you to sit down to try on your items. This is a huge minus as part of the shopping process is trying on those items and it’s not shopper friendly in this regard. Shoes: Until recently, they didn’t even have a shelf for shoes in my size (13) but they do now. Sadly, the quality of these shoes is sorely lacking. Bathroom: As far as I know, there’s no public restroom here either.

Clean, Bright and nice finds. Have shopped here before and would have to say that this is one of the nicest thrift stores in the area. Well organized and prices are good. My finds: VHS tapes 99 cents perfect for hours of kid entertainment Kids books 69 cents also perfect to keep her busy And all books were buy 4 get one free so I got her books free when I bought some for myself. Furniture was very low priced compared to the Goodwill I usually shop. Though they didnt have the bookshelf I needed for her room. The clothes! Awesome. Very nice pair of Dana Bachman pants 9.99 for work. Pair of jeans for 6.99 that look like they have never been worn. Tops are great, too! Wish I would have had more time!!! Service was good. Quick lines and friendly cashiers. They tell you how to get coupons: Donate goods and they will give you a coupon. signed up for their club card and definitely will be back. Having a 25 percent off for card members on Valentines and a 50 percent off on presidents day.

This Value Village has a large selection that is well-organized and kept tidy. Be sure to sign up for their loyalty program to receive notice of frequent sales and early shopping privileges. Youll also receive points toward discounts if you donate items--drive around the shopping center to the back to unload. Note that unlike Goodwill, Value Village is a for-profit enterprise. However, they support a variety of charities.

So here is my biggest problem with this place. The prices. The sell the most banged up broken junk, clothing with holes, stains, and goodness knows what else for almost the same price as brand new. There arent really any treasures or finds as the area is really affluent or interested in doing anything unique from everyone else. There are better villages of value.

Get Flucked
I payed for a dresser, and I went home to get different car, I was not aware that my battery was dead. When I returned after a few hours I found that they had sold it. I believe they need to implement a new or better procedure when customers have to go get another car or truck. This was not fair at all. Will be talking to the manager.

Not alot of good stuff here on my last few visits. Unlike the Totem Lake Value Village. They have exceptional quality control there. This location you have to look really hard to find something decent. Some cheap things are also overly priced. Like a sweater that was shrunk in on the bottom they still wanted 12 bucks.

Prices way too high. When something is pre-owned and its as expensive as it was on sale new there is a problem. Value Village was intended to be a non-profit until corporate greed made it profit. This store has a great location its clean but, prices ridiculous.

I have been shopping to value village stores for more than three years ,what i want tell you is their stuffs which are almost new and pricely cheap. The aisles are well organized and they do have $99.00 dollar sell which is affordable to your budget.

Cant expect too much from a thrift store. The check out lady was my only complaint as it took her no less than 8 minutes to check out the woman before us and at least 15 to check us out. But, Who really can complain about cheap second hand items?

I come here first to find something i might need and the majority of the time i do find it and its always cheaper! Some items might be overpriced but the selection is good and not just crap donations. Lines can be long to checkout

ive found some good items but some of the stuff is too overpriced imo. like a dress for $15...i can go to Ross and buy a dress for $15 brand new...for secondhand items i expect secondhand prices.

Monday mornings is one of the best days to visit, if youre searching for bargains. Today 6-12-17, just spent less then $16 with a retail value of $72 on $.99 cent day on all orange tags.

Womens, mens and childrens clothing and accessories. Household and kitchen items. Some furniture, childrens toys and electronics. Odds and ends. A little pricey for used items.

The staff was very rude to me and refused to give me credit for the donations I made. This place is ridiculously overpriced. Only shop here during a sale.

Friendly staff, pretty good selection, but disappointed that the bathrooms are not available for use no thanks to the losers that were vandalizing them.

I mean, these places are just about all the same. This one is really light on furniture though. Maybe they all are. I tend to go to goodwill more.
