I cannot believe the ridiculous pricing. I could understand the need and desire to increase prices but that is not what they have done. Instead now price gouge on every thing. It used to be you could get a plain sterling chain or earrings for 7. 99. I could see raising the prices to around 9.99 to 12.99 but what do they do? They put 19.99 on it. Do they think that they are Nordstroms now? Junk jewelery that should be 1.99 or 2.99 is now at 6.99 or higher. What the??????. The only businesss that is profiting on a down turned economy are the Thrift Stores! And for the most part they get the stuff for free from you and me. There is no more treasure hunting with these folks. Even if they are not sure if is valuable or not they put a high price on it anyway just in case it could be worth something. Most of the time it is actually worth less than what they put in it. The new store is really attractive and organized and clean. The staff are friendly and the merchandise is usually good quality. If only the pricing could balance out. Even on 1/2 price day those over priced items are so horribly over price they dont even sell at 1/2 off/ The only way to get a good deal is to show up on dollar Monday and fight the crowd. They would not have to sell the items for a dollar if they had only priced items fair to begin with. I think I should open up my own thrift store. One in which I will pay the the people for their donated items!

I love my Value Village on 15th - Crown Hill. The prices can be a bit steep - but if you want it, make them an offer 25-35% less than what it is marked. You may get the manager on duty to roll it back a few dollars. Just encase you dont know.. When you are part of the VV savers club you get: - 50% off on your birthday -punch card for donating - when you fill it up you get 30% off the your whole order at the register. - on the day you donate you get a $3.00 coupon good for several months. - about every 2 months or so clothing is 1/2 off - the color coded tickets indicate how long the item has been in the store. Monday through (I think) Thursday- items with that days ticket color is 1/2. I know too much information. And you most likely know all of this - But when I first got to Seattle I didnt have much money and no water proof anything. Value Village saved my butt.

Everything in the store smells like mildew. I didnt realize it until I left with 2 new coats. They were expensive too, $15 & $30, so I spent $50 that day. They both have a mildew oder and when I went to return it I realized that they do NOT give a refund. You can only exchange the merchandise and they do not give you enough time to use the credit, he told me he would extend it to 3 weeks. Since Im leaving the country on a trip, which is why I got a coat, I will not be able to use the credit. I dont want to exchange the coat for anything because everything else smells like mildew also. I WANT A REFUND!!! Their prices are too high for used merchandise, especially when places like Ross have new things for much less money. I probably will NOT be shopping there again and I want to warn everyone of their mildew problem.

i think the only reason im giving value village 4 stars is that its one of the last remaining ones open. i have a certain nostalgia for them, having had several in portland to go to years ago. as far as a thrift store, though, its really only worth about 3 stars. the prices are generally too high and the selection isnt really that great. i prefer the ballard goodwill, over on 65th.

Good stuff but the cashiers were problematic. I forgot my debit card. The cashier told me I could use my debit card number. So losing my place in line the I went into a line with a male cashier said I had to have my card on me. I decided to come back later putting my stuff on hold and then they lost my hold completely which was very frustrating.

I dont write reviews often, but the cashiers here move like snails. EVERY time I come here, I spend at least 10 minutes waiting in line, with maybe one or two people in front of me. Today was over 15. Ive never seen them use all their registers and the cashiers have no sense of urgency. The prices are better than good will, but thats about it

The clothes and other items are good but the place is filthy= inside but particularly out. After asking the managers to do something 5 times, nothing has been done. Check out Mary Ave NW on the side... it reflects poorly on the store and indicates they are disinterested in the community which makes them successful.

They have lots and lots of clothing and all of the toys and nicknacks are clean. Prices are better than Goodwill in Ballard. Some of the quality on clothes could be better, seen some stains here and there, but all-around huge selection and the sections are very clearly marked.

As far as value villages go this one is alright. Not as much product as the nearby goodwill but try a midday visit for better finds. The parking lot puts drivers in an aggressive trace. Like real aggressive, so watch out for that.

Quite literally the first thrift store Ive walked into that had an entire rack of my size! Coming from the Midwest, small sizes for guys are next to impossible to find! This place has tons of selections for slim guys!

Becoming really over priced just like the Ballard Goodwill. Selection is mostly ok and staff is nice but the employees smoke outside and it comes right into the store. Overall ok.

Not as much of a selection as Goodwill, but I like to donate my things here more since I know the proceeds will be going to better places. Some real gems in the books and toys.

This place often has some great cheaper finds, found a great shovel and a wonderful very functional old table very cheap. I think Ive seen an old microscope for sale there too.

Selection isnt as plentiful and cheap as Captiol Hill. Id rank Capitol HIll #1, Kirkland and Redmond #2, and this on around #3 or 4. Its easy to get to and spacious inside.

The best 2nd hand clothing store in Seattle! Great selection of used men and womans and children clothing. Lots of books, housewares and used electronics too.

The clothing selection here is insane, especially if you are a woman which I am not. Above average selection for computer stuff. Good housewares section.
