Will no longer be printing or purchasing anything here. Short story - Referring to the printing section. Most of the employees do a great job and are very helpful. The 2 managers Ive interacted with in the last year are not helpful and it feels as though they are looking for any reason to say no. My business is dependent on getting things printed, and I cant have such a wide variety of outcomes every time I go. Long story - Ive been printing DVD covers & labels at different office stores for about 5 years, and at this location for the last year. If I get a knowledgeable employee who wants to be helpful, its always a good experience. However, too often I am challenged with someone who is not very knowledgeable, or even worse, has no interest in helping me get my job done. Last week, Friday was the last one I could take. I went in the morning when its typically slower, a manager was working behind the desk. He was sitting at the desk and asked "what he could do for me", I told him "I need to print a few covers and labels". He said "let me save what Im working on for another customer", then walked over and asked "what he could do for me"...First red flag. I told him "I just need to print a few covers and labels", again. He looked at my label paper and said he "cant print on it because it doesnt say if its compatible with his printer". An understandable objection, heres my issue; 5 years ago when I started printing I learned that, and have since only bought a specific label paper that says on the cover "compatible with inkjet & laser printers" Ive seen this manager many times before, but he has never interacted with me before this. Had he payed attention one of the prior approximately 30 times that Ive been in , he would have known this. But more frustrating is his attitude, he made no effort whatsoever to come up with any solution. Just a no and a blank stare. So as I was on my way home to grab the box that my labels come in where it says "compatible with inkjet & laser printers", I decided to buy my own printer (from a different store obviously) and will no longer be giving any printing or other business to this location. If management has such poor customer service, its going to be few and far between that I walk out a happy customer.

My wife and I went into the Silverdale Staples store yesterday, Sunday, November 24th, shopping for a new smart phone. We were interested in the Samsung Galaxy s4. We had planned to look at five or six stores to check prices. The Staples store was the first in our search. We walked in and a man, later identified as James Nuss the store manager, came over to us and asked if we needed help. We said yes. He talked to us for 20 to 30 minutes answering questions and looking up our AT&T account to be sure we could upgrade. Mr. Nuss was extremely knowledgeable and answered all of our questions quickly, accurately and with humor. We told him we were still looking and wanted to go to the AT&T store to see what they could do. He said go ahead. Well, AT&T was a disaster! The phones they had on sale for $99, they were trying to sell to us for $189. No sale! Staples had the best price! We returned to Staples, talked to Mr. Nuss again and purchased two new Samsung phones. Mr. Nuss spent over three hours with us, activating the phones; working with AT&T to get our account updated, which was not easy!; transferring data from the old phones to the new ones; teaching us the basics of the new phones; answering clearly every question we had ; and some we didnt know to ask. All of this was accomplished with a grin and a sense of humor! He was also helping his sales associates and answering other customer questions while working with us. What could have been a very unpleasant and draining experience was actually enjoyable! As a result of this experience Staples has earned our customer loyalty. I am a school teacher and when I talked about our experience today in our school staff lounge I think I sold one or two more phones. Thank you and Mr. Nuss

The tech support at Staples is fantastic! I publish quilting patterns as well as use a machine embroidery program. The guys at Staples in Silverdale keep everything humming along and working together. They have an appointment schedule so you can bring your computer in for a check up and not have to leave it for several days. They have even solved problems over the phone. If youre not into "keeping all that stuff doing what you need it to" but you just need to use your computer EVERY DAY... give my fantastic guys in Silverdale a try. I dont think theres anything they cant fix or dont know.

Totally Dislike the the remodel!!! It sucks!!!! This used to be a store for your office needs !!! They had stuff you couldnt get at other store. They got rid of that stuff and now they are like Fred Meyers and other stores in the area.
