Note: Located on the back row of buildings, not directly facing the street. ************************ If you want something quick, this will do. The front person needs people skills specially with introvert geeks coming in. Him himself seems like an introvert but cant tell if hes not happy to be there or hes just shy. Prices are better than Radio shack but definitely not better than other online sources. If you can wait 3 to 5 business days, save your money and get more bang for your buck. Store takes Visa, Mastercard, Amex, but no Discover. Lots of stuff, kits, tools wire, ICs, LEDs, etc. some boxes look like theyve been on the shelves for a while. Pluses: Local, and plentyful. Minuses: Personel, not price competitive with Online retailers, needs to carry other brands than its own (Atmel, Arduino)

Ignore other reviews. I dont know what they expected, but this shop had everything I could want in an electronics supply and more. The inventory was amazing for this day and age and there isnt another store in the area that could match it in this regard. When I was standing in front of a 20 long wall of caps I knew Id found my store(same goes for ICs, diodes, transistors, etc.). This is an electronics components shop, if you know your way around a circuit board you should know your way around this shop. I must have got the owner, he was very helpful and honest. I will return again and again. "Not competitive with online retailers"????? Hes not that far off and would brobably be a lot closer if he could afford it.

I am in the final stages of developing a Electric Cylinder control system. Our EE supplier was not able to finish due to a personal emergency. With a deadline nearing, I would try building it myself based on the prototype from our supplier. Upon arrival, Mark took a look at my control system and admitted he was not sure if he could help on programming? But together, we opened the prototype up and he looked up the parts. i left with a BT 4.0 board and a Arduino Programmable Controller on a Saturday at 1:00! All parts were in stock with no issues! Great job supporting our project. We will return and i recommend Alphatronics!

Ive been going to Alphatronics for years. I started in 98 when I was still in tech school working for an Avionics repair facility. They were off of W. Vally Hwy back then. Also have gone to them with other companies I have worked with. They are a great resource for those of you that need circuit board components. Its nothing fancy mind you definitely a bare bones type environment but they are great for those of us that are into electronic design and engineering.

I went in here a year ago to check out prices on some Paladin tools, and the guy at the counter was quite rude. However, I went back a couple times this week to buy some voltage regulators and ICs and the two guys there were very helpful, and the prices for what I needed were very good. In fact, I was looking for a couple fast switching diodes, and the gentleman went back to an excess part bin, found a couple, and gave them to me for no charge. Thank you!

Doesnt keep a good inventory of whats on stock. I asked for p-channel mosfets, the guy outright refused to help me unless I provided the exact model number of what I wanted. When I brought back a few options, said he didnt carry any. If you dont come in with exactly the right information he expects, dont expect to get what youre looking for. If you need something and cant wait for shipping, try Frys. They have an alright selection of components on hand.

I came in with a list of a few dozen items I needed, and came out with all but a few of them. Their website doesnt do their inventory any justice; They have racks packed with components of all sorts. Saved me the hassle of having to order from various online vendors. I will definitely come here first if I need anything in the future.

I love going here on my lunchbreaks and just browsing. Its perfect. Okay it may be a little pricer than online, but I neither wait, nor pay shipping, so it all works out. What an electronics store should be.
