I went to Weber earlier today because my partner was in need of a new vehicle after an automobile accident took out his old one. Weber had the make, model, and year of the car we were looking for and in the color he liked however there were some very troubling aspects to the whole experience. He had made the mistake of informing the dealership that he needed a car by Monday. They did nothing but bully us and pressure him towards a sale. The vehicle was listed for $13865 online with a caption in the photo saying it would likely be going for less and to stop by. we show up expecting to be able to maybe talk them down to the $10-12k range seeing as hes bought five vehicles from them in the past and never defaulted or missed a payment on any of his financing. The sales person, Fred, had told us up front that the vehicle had been in a fender bender while under its previous owner but that it had been repaired and inspected. That turned out to be a multiple impact accident which the vehicle had to be towed away from. Leaving me to believe this was a car plucked straight from salvage. The previous owner had two liens against the title as well making me wonder if they bothered with regular maintenance or etc... The actual price presented to us after title fees and etc was over $15k I tried to work with them on the price by pointing out and asking for me details about the accident and etc... The response was misdirection by being told I would need to ask the next guy in the process who would then refer me to the previous guy or to treat my questions as hostile. (The financing guy yelled very loudly over his phone when I mentioned I felt we were being bullied when it was a phone so the shouting served no purpose other than to try and intimidate us.) There were also comments made to us along the lines of the dealership was about to get busy that they had held up the line for us and etc... trying to pressure us along. The sales person did not seem to be very knowledgeable about the vehicle and its features and they couldnt even provide us with an owners manual. I have been in an accident very recently as well and was considering going through Weber as well if the experience had been pleasant. I found their behavior outright offensive and brutish. I have over 7 years of retail experience and I have never been lead to believe that it was okay to treat potential customers like the way we were treated. I WILL NEVER GO TO THIS DEALERSHIP AGAIN.

The TV ad sounded too good to be true, but it was true. $7,000 off a new 2017 Cruze. The Cruze LT sticker was only 23K, so this was a 30% OFF SALE on a car. Why buy used? My sales rep was Kent Larkin. He was professional and knowledgeable and put my 15 year old daughter at ease. He listened to our criteria and helped us narrow down to the Cruz LT, and then went and found us the color and option combo we wanted. ZERO sales pressure. This is my daughters first car and she is ecstatic with it. Shes not yet 16, but we bought now due to the amazing pricing. One "service after the sale" thing that really spoke VOLUMES about the dealership: My wife had to make the pickup due to our schedule constraints, and my daughter, who will be the primary/sole driver of the car couldnt be there due to school. The fellow who gave the in depth technical demonstration to my wife asked her to bring in my daughter when she turns 16 so he can go over the safety features with her and teach her how to integrate her iphone with the cars electronics so she can operate safely and not take stupid chances. Thats 6 months from now and they still want to provide this no cost service. This is caring. Ive also through the years engaged with multiple employees at Weber Chevrolet through various charity events, social events, sports etc. And without exception, they rave about what a great guy the owner is to work for and what a pleasant place it is to work. We live 45 miles away and I get precisely the opposite feedback from employees of our local GM dealership. This is HUGE to me. First time Ive bought from Weber Chevrolet, but I doubt I will ever buy from another GM dealer. This was just too smooth and well priced to go elsewhere. Incidentally, I bought my last new Chevy from the local place due to his contributions to a local community program I am on the board for, even though I had a lower offer (only a couple hundred) from Elco. Those contributions from the local guy arent what they used to be, so neither is my local loyalty ... Please consider who is giving back to the community when you decide who to patronize.

I want to start this off by saying Ive never written a negative review in my life, and normally wouldnt but dont want anyone else to have the same problem.I drove 600 miles each way because I was going to get a certified pre owned silverado they had on the lot and i really liked, We made the deal because I was told the truck was a certified pre-owned it was advertised on their website as that even printed it off later for proof had license plates on the front and back that said it was certified and the finance manager said I got a lower rate because it was certified. So i get there they look at my truck and we are almost all the way through the paperwork and he says he can sell me a extended warranty and I told him I didnt want it because this had almost new warranty to which he said oh no we explained we cant certify it because it had a recall on it.Its on their website as a certified vehicle which the manager told me GM runs their website and they have no control over it, regardless of who does that is false advertisement I started a case with GM and they told me they dont run the website that the dealer does, so that was another lie. After i complained the manager said if you dont like it you can leave, great business practice after I drove 600 miles one way to get this truck, we have bought cars all over the country and definitely wont be back to this dealership.Daryl "doc"Cash was my salesman and refused to take any blame as did the manager. We as a family have bought almost no cars besides GM and as my girlfriend is looking for a car we may go elsewhere because GM refused to take any blame in the matter. The only positive at this place was Mike the finance guy was really good and Matthew Tyson the technology specialist was excellent helping with the new technology. Please if your looking at a car at this place and have a reasonable distance or your time is valuable please consider my story and be prepared to get a different story when you get there then you got on the phone. I hope this will save someone else the aggravation of dealing with this dealership.

After searching online for a few months, I found a 2014 Yellow Camaro with all of the features I was hoping for. After researching prices, I knew this was the one. The price was the lowest in a 300 mile radius from where we live in Carterville IL. I didnt mind the drive to get exactly what I was looking for. After talking with Frank Shinault, I knew this is where we were supposed to go. I was very busy the week we started the communication (through email) and he was very understanding and didnt push me away like a client that was wasting his time. I appreciated his kindness and willing to help me. After arriving to the dealership we were offered drinks and snacks and felt very comfortable there. After negotiating we felt like Frank did everything to help us. Not just to get a sale. Corey Famula was excellent as well. Very nice staff!! He walked us through the process of the financing and made us feel great about the purchase. He went above and beyond to find a better bank with a "great" interest rate. We will be thankful for that not only now but in the long run as well. Finishing with the "tech guy" was great!! Having someone on hand to show the inside and out of a vehicle is a wonderful idea!! He paired my phone with the Bluetooth and went over every option the car offers, which I found very helpful and appreciated very much. Again, I could go on and on about the service because it was the best my husband and I have every experienced. There were no games, it was a relaxing, comfortable and overall an amazing experience. The car was cleaned inside and out 100% (they did a great job) and a full tank of gas!! Im very happy with the car and will continue my business here at George Weber Chevrolet from here on out. They have sold me on more than just a car, but a relationship that to me, means more! Thank You! John and Jennifer Belford
