I am very suspicious of any positive reviews of Porcellos. We first took a pair of diamond earing jackets in to see what we could get for them. They offered us less than $80 dollars. We had payed approximately $1000 for them 20 years before. I took some pictures and we listed them on eBay and received several times what we were offerd on a "buy-it-now" sale within just a few hours. The buyer was thrilled and left us positive feedback. I thought maybe it was just a fluke so a couple of months later we took in a pair of diamond stud earings in to have them looked at. We had purchased them at the same as the jackets. We had paid $1,400 for them 20 years before. They were beautiful diamonds. This time we were offered $120. Again I took pictures and listed them on eBay and again we received several times what we were offered at Porcellos. From their feedback... both of the buyers who purchased the items appeared to be resellers. How is it that buyers on eBay consistantly are willing to pay multiple times what Porcellos is? All they have to work from are pictures and a description.

I was actively shopping around for an engagement ring about a month ago....I went into several different places (EE Robins, Tiffanys, etc.) in the Bellevue area and had heard that Porcello was a decent place to buy/sell Jewelry. Overpriced is all I have to say, they have a good inventory and are knowledgeable, they will get you whatever you ask for (I was contemplating canary and pink diamonds, different cuts etc) but the price isnt what I was hoping for. If youre in the same boat as I was and looking for an engagement ring (or heck even an anniversary or Christmas present) and want to get some bang for your buck check my review for Bellevue Rare Coins. After panicking for months thinking I wouldnt ever afford what I wanted for my fiance I felt compelled to give others in my position some relief and direction, especially after seeing how happy she is with what I got her, and how happy I am to not have a 30k loan out!

Our familys new jewelry store! My wife and I were looking for rings to give to our daughters for a special occasion, but our old jewelry store had gone out of business. My wife and daughters shopped around and each of them found just what they were looking for at Porcellos. The selection was so much better than the other stores, and the prices were unbeatable. The staff is friendly and professional - what you would expect from a family owned, local business that has been around for many years. I also was able to sell them a gold bracelet and got a very fair, market price for it. I had researched the value of the bracelet before I went in, knew the carrot, weight, and competitive bids. Jason Porcello was the gold buyer I dealt with and he was personable, fair, and overall trustworthy. My family will be coming here first for our future jewelry needs.

Found this jeweler online because I was in the market for a Rolex. Will sold me a Rolex. 2 days later I called because I understood the return policy to be 30 days (Which my purchase and the watch fit all the return criteria credited on their website) and I honestly felt uncomfortable wearing the timepiece. Will raised his voice at me, intimidated me over the phone (clearly didn;t want to sacrifice his commission). When I asked if I could speak to the owners he basically discriminated against the owners, disclosing their ages to me claiming that is the reason why I wouldnt be able to speak to them. He wrote me a check for $3000, 2 days after I purchased for $4600. I didnt even get the tax money back that I had paid. If you are going to deal with this Jeweler go into it knowing that you are dealing with THUGS! Very crooked sales practices.

Im writing this for my brother in law who is admittedly not "tech savvy". He and his wife recently went through some trying times that involved needing money for a court case pdq. My wife and I had been to Porcello several times looking for jewelry and knew they also bought gold. This is a really nice company, very high end looking, and not a strip mall with a yellow sign saying "we buy gold". Just makes it more trustworthy in my opinion. Even selling your items, these people treat you great - very respectful and not at all pushy. They offered a very fair price for the items that he wanted to sell and paid him right away. He said they were great to deal with.

Nice store, nice people, fair value for silver. I didnt get warm fuzzy feelings from them but, then again, wasnt there for that. Sold them several pieces of old jewelry from Mexico and the price paid was fair market value. I know because I did my research first. If youre selling anything - check around before you sell. Then you will know what your things are worth before you go to sell them. I read reviews that people think they should have gotten more but I think a lot of people place a higher value on stuff than its actually worth. Just because you once liked it doesnt mean its worth more than it is. These guys are fair.

Upon recommendation from our daughter who lives in the Seattle area we sent some of our unused jewelry to Porcello using an envelope (insured) they provided for an estimate and possible sale. They provided a quote to us within a few days for our consideration prior to sale, We were allowed to talk it over and call them back with our decision. We live in Las Vegas which is rich in pawn shops and felt much more confident selling our things through Porcello than any of the shops here. We did accept their offer and had a check in hand within the week. We are confident with their services and would recommend to others.

I failed to do my homework before selling over 9 ozs of 18k jewelry. I asked for $100 more than what they offered to buy my jewelry and they refused, saying they had to melt the gold," etc. Anyway, this was more than a couple of months ago. Not bargaining with the man any further, I agreed to sell my unique pieces, all 18k only to find out that I could have gotten at least three times more had I just checked other gold buyers before going to them. Im all for them making a profit in their business, but they are inconsiderate, greedy and not fair minded. I was truly taken advantage of. rgeminsilverdale
