We are so happy we found Ben and the team at Green Lake Jewelry Works to design and make our ring. I am so in love with the final product: a black Tahitian pearl with rustic diamonds, unplated white gold, and an overarching ocean/water design. I have always wanted a Tahitian black pearl for my engagement ring, but had yet to find one that actually looked timeless and delicate enough while still being unique. My fiance and I met with a few designers before finding Green Lake, but no one really understood our vision, or werent able to produce anything. We were so exasperated that we thought maybe we were being too difficult or that what we wanted just wasnt feasible. We had gone to Green Lake initially to look at some loose rustic diamonds, and we liked their work so we called them to see if we could speak with a designer about a quote. Ben called us back and spoke to us very briefly, and we gave him our pinterest board. Within a couple days we had an email from him with several beautiful sketches. I was stunned that he was able to grasp what we were looking for with so little information to work with. From there we gave him some feedback and each iteration he came back with was even more perfect. The entire process was so smooth and we had so much fun with it. Ben is a super talented and professional designer and he was able to offer his expertise while also taking into account our feedback. We couldnt have asked for a better experience. Every person we had an interaction with either at the shop or on the phone was awesome, as well! I think its important to note that we actually live in Venice, CA, so most of the collaboration with Ben was via the design page. We went up to Seattle to visit my fiances family and that was when we wrapped up the final details of the design and moved on the molding and casting steps. It was amazing how easy it was to work on the ring even not living in Seattle. That said, the showroom is so beautiful and its easy to spend more time there than planned just looking at all the other beautiful pieces.

We had an absolutely fantastic experience designing my engagement ring with Ashlen at Green Lake Jewelry Works. I could not be happier with the final product-- a delicate yellow gold band with an infinity symbol motif and a small diamond set with a twisted half bezel. I was consistently impressed with Ashlen’s ability to translate my feedback for the CAD designer, and the ability of the CAD designer to quickly and effectively iterate on the design. It got closer to my vision of the ring every time they sent me an updated rendering, and by the time they 3D-printed the wax for me to try on, no additional changes were necessary-- it was exactly how I’d imagined it. I hope to have a reason to work with GLJW again someday, and I would wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone.

From the entire process- initial contact, talking through diamonds and ring settings, to finally putting the order in and picking the ring up, my fiancé and I experienced incredible, trustworthy service. Being new to this process, I felt secure and confident as I TRUSTED Brant and Kathy Kane. They were both personal and professional. They worked hard to make sure we got what we truly desired. And they were patient as well- I didnt feel pressured in making a decision. And we came out with a great ring!!! So thankful for their help. They had to cut a small piece of metal down out of my project, and when I went to pick up they also gave me a check for $5 for that small piece.
