After over 10 years of shopping here I have finally decided Im done with this location. As some have mentioned this location has removed the self check option and in the process has increased the wait time (for a few items) over 10 minutes sometimes to get through check-out. I have struggled with this store for a couple of months hoping they would get their act together and either up their staff for checkout or bring back the self check. Neither of those have happened so Im done with Albertsons and will take my business somewhere else. Yesterday was the final straw. I had two items and waited almost 12 minutes to get through checkout. Lines that are 8 people deep in the 12 items or less line... crazy! You would think it was the day before Thanksgiving, but no, its just another day at your local Albertsons.

The person who helped me today was very polite and even asked me some interesting questions while we waited for the register to process my purchases. He even checked out an advertisement with me to find out why the register wasnt accepting the sale price promoted, which allowed me to discover that I had misread the promotion due to its proximity to the item I thought was on sale. He apologized on behalf of the company for the somewhat misleading ad (for one of the candy bars displayed next to it instead of for all of the bars in the stand-alone display with only a few bars in it). I hope he gets praise or a promotion feom managers for his exceptional customer service today! I hope this comment is linked to his register!

Some of the checkers have been very nice, but this store is so painfully understaffed all the time, that theres no such thing as a quick trip. They got rid of self checkout for some bizarre reason, so now when they are understaffed with just one checker, a whole group of people with just a couple items can get stuck behind a single shopper with a full cart. The owner needs to either bring back self checkout, or properly staff the store. Its incredibly frustrating to run to the store for a single item at 10:00pm and get stuck behind a line of 8 people at the only open checkstand. Very dissatisfied. Only gave a second star out of respect for the kind and overworked checkers that Ive met

The company removed six Self-Checkout station and didnt replace them with cashiers. Now the lines are 10-15 minutes long. On busy days, Ive seen line go as far back as the dairy coolers. Cashiers have all said, the company has been cutting hours. Second issue I have with Albertsons is the tiny Fruits & Vegetable section. H-Mart and Fred Meyers has a F&V section that is four times the size of Albertsons section. It seems to me Albertsons is more about buying out other stores than serving their customers needs. On the positive side, the staff are amazing! More than willing to go out of their way to get what you need. Even tell you about coupons and deals on the smartphone app.

The checkersI had was rude. nothing I purchased on sale scanned at sale price. Each time (3) I pointed out the wrong price she stomped off to go check and make sure I wasnt Trying to get one over on her. Each time came back mumbling and put in sale price. Next visit. Soda on sale. Rang up regular price. I pointed out it was on sale. Showed her the newspaper ad. She said. Nope. You cant get it for that price. Manager called. She told me to come back and get it, it was on sale. Said no thank you. Never went back. QFC much friendlier. Also much cheaper and the sale items scan properly. Checkers dont stomp around.

The people who work here are super nice, and I really like their selection, but the wait time at this location has become enough of an issue that Ive stopped going here altogether. I was hoping the other night that Id be lucky and it wouldnt be busy at 9pm on a weeknight, but I still waited 10+ minutes to buy two items. Its a bummer that they took out the self checkouts without really increasing the number of cashiers, because its kind of now turned into a last resort store for me now. Since the store itself is no better or worse than others that are more convenient, I am not inclined to go there anymore.

This place sucks.Rude Deli employees. Combative and unfriendly...seems like a management or leader in that deli group promotes the behavior...Ive been to this deli at various times and have been met with the same ruse, argumentative, and unfriendly service regardless of which employee Ive encountered. Those deli people are angry. I bet its the deli manager....pretty wierd that the whole deli staff acts the same way...Im guessing the manager speaks negatively about customers....Ive worked at a place like that before and noticed how rude the staff was to customers because of it. So I quit.

I usually just drive an extra 5 miles to Fred Meyer but in the interest of time I found myself at this location again this morning. Ive never seen this location with more than two cashiers - in fact if they have two instead of one you should go buy a lottery ticket because this is your lucky day. They have no self checkout and no backup cashiers so even if youre buying just one item, be prepared to wait behind several families weekly grocery shopping. Took me 30 minutes this morning to buy coffee and a banana. Should have just gone to Fred Meyer and saved myself the frustration.

On the one hand I applaud their decision to take away automation and hire human beings. On the other, waiting 15 minutes to check out is just silly. 99% of the time I drive the minute up the road to the qfc. Every now and then tho I crave the chocolate chip cookies at Albertsons and when I do I get reminded of why I rarely come here anymore. It is no fun to wait in line for such obscene amounts of time. Bring back the self checkout or staff more cashiers. Period.

Last week I was planning a 50th birthday party for my very good friend and found a cake I wanted online. I asked the albertsons bakery if they could do it and they had me contact the baker Amanda. I sent her a picture of what I wanted and she did an AMAZING job on the cake! Not only was it a beautiful or better replica of what I requested but the cake was delicious. This was the general consensus at the party. Thank you Amanda for the awesome cake!

I just bought a 6 piece chicken from their deli... IT WAS THE WORST CHICKEN I HAVE EVER ATE. This used to be a decent deli, but I havent gotten edible food from this deli in a year. I didnt think any deli could be worse than the Safeway on 196th an 99 until now. The sparrow legs were tougher than shoe leather and the breasts were older than my grandfather.

Bring self-check out back. It is ridiculously a waste of time for people standing there for a long wait. Also, the store should hire more people to serve the clients. There is all the time shortage in staff to help clients. I will not return to shop at the store if the situation remains the same. Thankfully a 24h store is close by.
