Ya Safeway, thanks! Ill just dig out my own doughnuts from that stack. This is a typical daily occurrence where they sit here for hours. Daisy, who shows up everyday with impeccable hair and makeup & is always very friendly is quite possibly the ONLY good thing about this store. Every other employee Ive interacted with here have some kind of an attitude as if its a complete bother if you ask for assistance on anything. I hate shopping at Safeway in general. All of their stores are crummy, but this one being so close to where I live is such a disappointment. Today when I asked several people why the doughnut shelves are consistently empty at a time when most people would likely be stopping by on their way to work, they all shrugged and eventually directed me to a gal stocking the bread isle. She told me essentially, "they make the doughnuts at another store and this is just how theyve always done it (time/delivery-wise)." So Safeway, when you finally stop to wonder why this Safeway doesnt do much in sales for doughnuts, take a look at my photo here @ 6:45am and see how I had to dig my own doughnut out of these stacks. This is pretty much how they sit for hours upon each day. If theyre not in the shelves, they wont sell. These should be delivered and on the shelves NO LATER than 6am. The bay area commute starts very early. No one is going to pull in during crazy 7am+ traffic and buy a donut. I hate hate hate Safeway, and despise this store. (Except Daisy. Shes the only positive thing youve got going here).

Good selection, but those checkout wait times are generally nuts. Why have so many registers when you let the lines wrap around just to get to one? EDIT 9/10/2017 Lowered rating from 3 stars to 2. This is my neighborhood Safeway so I hate to rag on it too much, but I needed a last minute item for dinner. It takes me two minutes to get there, less than a minute to get my item, and over 10 minutes to checkout. Its just.... So disappointing.

This Safeway is pretty small. But it has everything the bigger ones do. The isles are narrow but a decent selection on most everything. To bad there arent any self checkout stands. The lines were long but they moved along quickly. Plenty of parking which is excellent for me since i spend much of my time in a company box truck

Safeway isent honest about priceing /sales. The produce is alot of seconds. At top prices .ive found many "mistakes"on my reciets. But never in my favor. Strange how that works out. Food co was a affordable store ,but got run out .could get 3 or 4 times the food there. Shame on safeway. We can not afford that bs.right?

I shop at this Safeway for nearly all of the food I eat. Its pretty well stocked all the time, and its 24/7, which is pretty rad. Sometimes it gets a little crowded around check-out, especially when most people get off work, and theres usually only one checkstand open late-night, which is to be expected.

I have lived in Belmont since 1998. As the surrounding area continues to grow due to residential construction, I have noticed an exponential increase in wait times and long lines at this Safeway. And yes the quality of staff and customer service has gone down. Except for Daisy.

Friendly staff. Helpful even if they are busy tending to other projects. Also the only Safeway open 24 hours. I did notice though, the empty shelves throughout the store, and the lack of availability of certain basic food items. NOT the staffs fault !!!!!

I have been to this Safeway several times. The lines are always extremely long and there are few checkout lanes open. Dont expect to run in and grab an item because the line may add 15 minutes to your trip.

not sure but some of their milk and other expiring items are like the same day. so becareful buying product that has expiration dates. other than thay the workers are great.

Great selection of liquor. Hours scaled back such that theyre closed around 3-5 AM now, which is why I took off a star. I prefer my Safeway 24-hours.
