For years I have owned a beautiful opal with plans on having it set. After finding a great setting I wanted to have the stone set professionally. I went to a few jewelers prior as I made my way down Laurel Street. The first place didnt even want to let me through the door and tried interrogating me through the screen...no thank you. The next place I went to the quote was way over the top and the guy didnt seem interested in helping me unless I helped him pay off his house. After going to Laurel Street Jewelers I was acutely surprised with how pleasant and egger to help Cal was. He told me how he would go about setting the stone and would roll the edges over, which is more than just cementing it in like the other jeweler said they would do. The turnaround time was the same as the others, which I figured it would be with the weekend coming up, but to my surprise the labor came to half the price as the quotes from the "unpleasnts." I am very satisfied with my ring. It looks like no other, and I am proud that Cal could help me create this beautiful piece of jewelry.
