The way computer repairs should be. Id like to think of myself as a competent computer builder even though its been about 5-6 years since I built a quasi gaming rig. Unfortunately I had a ghost in my new machine that i couldnt figure out after my original computers motherboard died. I tried everything I could to get my new Frankenstein to breath digital life but it wouldnt budge. Without having the right kind of diagnostic tools to test for shorts and what have you, I brought it in to Matt @ PC Alternatives since it was close to me and very recommended through the web reviews. I appreciated the personal service that PC Alternatives showed me the minute I walked in the door. Matt took down all of the information I gave him and discussed different things that might be the problem that I may not have looked at. Within the same day he called and told me what the damage was that his tech found out and I had him order parts. After replacing the part I needed (another motherboard to replace my brand new one I installed previously) my Frankenstein gaming rig did finally breathe life. Overall I appreciate the amount of time put in and the fast response that Matt and his crew put in to get me back on the digital highway. PC Alternatives made my computer a priority and not just another desktop sitting on the shelf with a toe tag that they would get around to after a week or so. Thanks guys!

I have used PC Alternatives for routine PC maintence for the past several years and have been pleased with their customer service and expertise. I Skype my daughter in Israel weekly and for the past 2 months I was experiencing audio problems despite frequent audio checks. My PC is 5 years and I was thinking of purchasing a new CPU but wanted Matts input and recommendations on how to solve the problem. Matt spent an hour of his time with me discussing ways to resolve the problem prior to purchasing a new computer. I ended up purchasing a UBS hub and a new headset for my computer at Best Buy. I was able to attach the UBS hub without problems and when I did an audio check on Skype, I had crystal clear audio. A Skype call to Israel revealed that the new headset had solved the problem as the sound was crystal clear. Now I plan to contact Cox and check my broadband wideth. Another suggestion of Matts. Though I have decided not to purchase a new CPU at this time, and Matt did not charge me for his time, his expertise is impressive and I will continue to use PC Alternatives for all my home computer needs. I can highly recommend this business. Thank you Matt! You have made this mother and PC user very happy!

I highly recommend that anyone needing computer repair and/or service contact PC Alternatives, Inc. This is my third trip to them. The first time was for my mothers laptop and the second was for my husbands laptop. I explained my issue to them in non-techno speak and they were able to understand the issues I was having. I brought my computer in because it was running slow and was inundated with pop-ups. I did not have to stand in a long line nor have my computer sent away. They were able to have it back to me by the next day. I am very satisfied with the service I have received from Matt and his colleagues. They understand that not everyone is a computer geek! And they have reasonable costs.

I stopped in because the laptop I purchased from a pawn shop was missing a set/security screw for the optical drive. Edward, the tech, was friendly... and a little surprised at my small request haha. But, he took my laptop into the back to find the part I needed. In the meantime, the owner, Matt, walked in and offered assistance. I told him I was already being helped. Matt was really nice and told me about all of the other services they offered, in case I should ever need to stop in again. Its not everyday the owner of a company takes time out of a busy schedule to assist a small customer. Best part of the visit, they gave me the set screw for free ($5+ online).

We took our Dell computer in to pcalt after having several virus issues amongst other things. The Dell was still under warranty and my husband sat on the computer for seveal hours, about 3 different times, with Dell and they could not fix it and refused to help us restore it because the "partition" was corrupted. We took it to Matt and his team and they had us fixed up and just a few days. A few days only due to my bringing it in later in the day. This is the first locally owned computer business I have seen with these kinds of prices and friendly service! If youre pinching pennies and want great customer service, go see these guys! Their great!

Matt at PC Alternaive is very helpful. He explained all options, including prices. The most important thing to me is that he made me feel right at home. Now the most important thing to you readers, yes my computer problems were fixed. Now my laptop runs better and faster than it ever did. The turn around time was very good, about 24 hours, PC Alternatives took care of removing some viruses that my antivirus missed, gave my laptop a tune-up, and moved all data from a hard drive out of a dead computer and move all files to a external hard drive that i can access from or move data from. I thank them for all there help and i know you will also

I had been searching all over town for screws to hold in a laptop hard drive. I was running thin on patience and was getting ready to throw in the towel on my search when I came across PC Alternatives on my phone. It was close to where I was and had great reviews. So I figured, why not just try. I AM GLAD I DID. I walked in and was greeted by Matt, the president of the company. I showed him what I needed and he just happened to have what I was looking for right on his desk. He was very friendly, helpful, and full of information. First, let me say that Im an actual customer who recently had his company laptop crash in the middle of the night. It automatically went through a factory reset and all of my date from work was gone. Matt and his team at PC Alternatives worked on my machine the next day and found that all of the files had been erased. Instead of calling it quits, they used an advanced recovery program and found over 1.2GB of data that they burned to a DVD. I actually found the one file I really needed to finish the project which saved me hours of re-work. PC Alternatives really went the extra mile at a very reasonable cost. -Scott

I stopped into PC Alternatives to have my MacBook Pro looked at to see if I needed a tune up as my computer was running a little slower than I thought. Matt talked extensively to me about solutions and advised to look into upgrading my modem and router at home. Looking at my computer he said it looked great and probably didnt need to be serviced at this time. I really appreciated his knowledge and honestly. He clearly wanted me to walk away with the best solution and even if it meant sending me away without a service that I didnt really need. I will ONLY go to PC Alternatives for my computer servicing needs!!!
